Always had great features but was a little slow. New update has definitely fixed that, runs fast now.
Can’t even see transaction history
If you want customers to solely rely on the app for banking, make it usable. Not being able to see any transaction history means you’re not providing basic features for the customers.
So many bugs
Honestly I can’t believe no matter how many updates, just how unfunctional this app can be at times.
Can’t view all transactions on Visa Card
We recently got a Virgin Money Visa card and I can’t believe that we can only view the pending transactions and it’s the same using the website. How are we to know exactly what has been debited to the Visa card if we can’t see ALL the transactions until we receive the statement? Yes there’s a message saying you’re aware of it for some customers, but that has been there for the past 3 weeks. It really is not good enough. Surely if you’re in the banking game you’d have the app down pat. Not happy. Too bad if a scammer debits the card, we won’t know until the statement arrives so be prepared for reimbursements.
In control
Since opening my accounts with Virgin I finally feel in control of my money. I have been able pay bills and save using features I not available to me in the past.
Constant faults in transferring
For well over a year now customers have experienced the “whoops something went wrong” message when trying to transfer their own funds and nothing has been done about it, it’s not just the app it’s the WHOLE banking system. I have tried transferring it on my laptop and still the same issue. Our money should not be held hostage like it is. The only response we get is “we will raise a ticket” a ticket does not stop our bills, a ticket does not fix the issue. DO BETTER
The worst banking app I’ve ever used
A bare bones app made even worse in the past few days, because I can’t even view my transactions without the app crashing. Given Virgin Money have not investigated a fraudulent application on my account for an entire month now, being able to see my transactions is critical. I’ve had to make a formal complaint to AFCA, because I am out of options. Decide what you want for your financial security.

So many glitches since the takeover. Not all feature features are the same or usable and it seems to constantly be maintenance issues.
Worst app on my phone
Routinely fails to show transactions when clicking through. Just a blank screen. Just the most annoying and definitely the worst performing app on my phone.

Virgin have been great. The credit card makes it easier to manage family finances, they always check in through texts and emails to let me know they are there to enable me achieve what I want and the benefits available are great. Thankyou Virgin. Luigi
Don’t get these CC accounts
The app has been buggy since day 1 I started using it, and offline half the time I want to use it. BPay takes multiple days to show up in account. And i only ever receive a warning that the account is overdrawn a day or two after I’ve realised and tried to Bpay some of the balance.

The app is really easy to use. You can set yourself a goal and it will tell you how long until you reach it and it is displayed well. Would highly recommend.

I have called two weeks ago. My app showed card block message but turned out this functional at company end. Then redirected to velocity point service, operator verified my account and ‘updated it’. But still no change on my account still. I have called before. Communication is poor…

Avoid if travelling overseas
I tried to make a transaction in the USA and the card declined, then I received a txt msg that my account was now locked and no access to the app. I would need to call a Aus phone number to unlock it. Not helpful when I don’t have access to an international calling while travelling. I tried emailing several times with no response. I had had to borrow money from my friend. Will be switching banks when I get home.

I love the new app. Very easy to navigate, user friendly and best part is you can see your up coming recurring payments. Highly recommend this app
DONT BANK WITH THEM
I have been with them for 3months. 10k in the savings. Now the balances showing aren’t reflecting properly, and I can’t even transfer money out. Customer service are like headless chooks. Better off going with the main Banks like ANZ & Commonwealth! Im on the phone with them rn, and im super stressed!!!! And no the savings isn’t locked!
FaceID doesn’t work
Very disappointed in Virgin Money. FaceID STILL doesn’t works with this app after nearly a year . Customer service says my issue has been escalated and will get a call from the tech department. I never get that call back. I’ve gone through all the trouble shooting steps and reinstalled the app. The issue is on my iPhone and iPad. All other apps where I use FaceID work. Upon opening this app I get the message “Try your access code - uh-o, we can’t log you in with biometric ID” .
Most recent update to app is very frustrating
Primary and secondary cardholders should be able to see all transactions going through the account or at least the primary should be able to allow access to view all. Neither of us could see a complete list of the transactions making up the total balance, the “load more” button at the end of the transaction list would do nothing. I could see certain transactions on my app as secondary card holder that my wife couldn’t see on her app as primary card holder and vice versa.

PayID creation / linking doesn’t work
There’s mobile number and email address under Manage PayID (both unlinked). However, none can be linked. Please fix, thanks
