User friendly
I have been using UBank for over 6 years and the improvements over time have been amazing. Very ahead of other banking apps I use. This feels very personal 😊
Do not pay interest
This bank has gone from being a normal bank that treat their customers like all banks, too just another money grabbing entity that even hold transfers to NAB accounts, its parent company for as long as it can. Plus does not pay any interest at he end of the month if you with draw from it. We had 200k saved with them for years a were getting good interest. That is now in another bank.
Really like UBank but…
I would give it 5/5 if they had temporary credit cards like Bankwest does. They are a one use or max value. Great way to protect your money
Working well
I had some issues early on but everything is working well now!
Fast
Good interest rate. But I had to switch to other banks because the interest went down. It was 5.5%/y. The app itself is simple, secure and very easy to use. There are room for improvements but for now it good enough for transfer, sending, receiving,... all you can asked from a bank app.
No Interest Payment
Disappointed that no interest is paid to Everyday Account which is why we deciding to move to a bank that does.
Good international travel card
Problems at first until you work out that you have to turn on international currency in the App, then it works fine, which is more than I’ve had to do in other banking Apps, which you just have to activate international travel and the currency looks after itself.

This allows you to protect your ubank login with its own password, separate from your phone’s lock screen. • Sign in using a password instead of a passkey It’s also possible to set up a password to log in to the ubank app. While this option is available, we generally recommend passkeys from a security perspective, as passwords can be vulnerable to phishing and reuse across services. • Strengthen your device lock settings If you continue using passkeys, switching your device from a simple PIN to a longer password can add an extra layer of protection. Your feedback around having more choice in sign‑in options has been shared with our teams. Good, but.
Look, I love UBank. Makes it easy for me to knock out. My money makes it easy for me to transfer things where I need to. I can split my money up. I can save. I spend. It’s great on all accounts for less than five star review though is the fact that I have so many issues getting into the app itself. To begin with it was fine, minimal problems. Everything worked great but ever since I’ve had an issue where I had to erase and establish my phone I can’t get into the app at all. It keeps telling me that my details are wrong even though they’re the same details to get online. It’s frustrating and somewhat infuriating. I hope nobody else has this issue and in the grand scheme of things I guess it’s not that big a deal, I would just like to be able to access the app like everybody else that’s all.
WORST BANK EXPERIENCE
Locked out of my account as a CENTRELINK payment was flagged as “fraud”. They refused to answer any questions or explain why. Rude staff. Left without funds for over a week where I ended up reporting the events to the Financial Ombudsmen and had account unlocked. Transferred my funds out straight away and closed all accounts. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BANK TO ANYONE!

The app is very good and easy to use but I wish there was a feature where I could lock my savings account to stop unnecessary spending

The changes in the last two years have destroyed how good this bank was. Now you can’t pay from savings accounts, you can’t remove money from savings accounts, the app is so complicated and confusing.🫤

Very fabulous app. Easy to navigate
Tried to sign up, not eligible, no recourse
Tried to sign up for an account. Got through the process and it said I wasn’t eligible. I live in Australia, signed up with my passport, my credit score is fine. I was just trying to open a joint account with my partner. It tells you basically nothing about why it’s not possible. I called UBank and they said they can’t help and I was basically completely out of luck. They can’t even see why it failed. I tried to escalate and they said I couldn’t. I have no way of knowing what went wrong and nothing tells you and you can apparently never sign up again. Edit: they tell you to message their Facebook team with a reference number and their Facebook team can’t even look it up. So it’s just a complete waste of time.
