Request for better access to FP app
The access I have gotten is just limited to news headings and a small piece of information share right under it. Now, that gives me an idea of what’s going on but for in-depth analysis it is critically important to read full news pieces; kindly give access. I know u have paid subscriptions but what of those who can not afford. Recipe is for them to contend with the harsh realities of an unequal world
Five star content; one star app
I love the content, but the app is a horrible UI/UX. When there is 🎧 to listen, it never works. (NOA is equally awful.) The margins / formatting of articles is laughable. I might as well just be on the web using Safari’s reader. This app is garbage.

Paid sub wants more
When you pay for a subscription it leaves quite a bad taste in the mouth when the app asks for more money to read an article. Good magazine but not good enough that I’ll renew. Main reason for skipping renewal is begging for money. I paid my subscription don't ask me to pay more when I land on certain articles. Tasteless.

Inconsistency
It always asks me to login and fails
Great app, but loads weirdly
I love this app and have recently been reading Foreign Policy daily. However, when you exit out of the app (to answer an email, for instance) and later return to it, the page will be blank. You will be forced to return to the Home Screen with no way to return to the article you were on. I wish there were a history feature. Otherwise, great app and quality journalism.

Great content, poor app
The content of Foreign Policy is quite good. Less academic than Foreign Affairs (if a little less deep at times), and more expansive on geopolitics than the Economist. The App however if weak. Who wants to try to deal with flipping through what is essentially a PDF version of the magazine. Instead is should be organized like The Economist app where each article in the magazine appears in order and can be individually clicked to appear properly on mobile devices.
Perfect Format
I like news concise until I want it more elaborate. Foreign Policy gives me the precis and delivers when I click the link.

Login Bugs
Can’t even stay logged in when switching between articles. Worked once, then immediately prompted to login. Now I can’t open any article. I was looking to subscribe but can’t justify $200 a year when they clearly don’t pay their developers enough to have a working login and account system.
FP
The audio clip enabled me to complete task while listening to current events. I’m overall very satisfied with this.

Could be better
I rate it 4 stars because the issues and ideas are critical information, but the app can definitely be improved. Make it more like the New York Times, perhaps even allow comments. Improve the app and make it easier for people to like it and subscribe!

I installed and uninstalled couple of times but not opening
App always closes the article I’m reading if I leave the app even briefly
The NYT app does not do this. It’s very frustrating and lessens the experience.

Second to none for the news
The articles are awesome and the news coverage is spot on but there’s a lot of things you can do on the site that you can’t do in the app
Great content, awful user interface
I love FP, the content it produces is regularly of excellent quality and I really enjoy sitting down to dig into their broad and deep coverage. However, using the remodeled app is an almost always infuriating experience. The aesthetic is beautiful, an improvement over the old app design visually, but it’s glitchy and choppy essentially all the time. Scrolling through articles frequently requires the app to resize text in the middle of reading, which disjoints the reading experience and gets frustrating quickly. Large, feature pieces almost always cause the app to reload its stream from the top, so you lose your place when you’re finished a feature. This happens with all articles when I change to a different app and then back to FP, and gets old quickly. Additionally , sometimes the app simply won’t load content older than a few days. While this usually sorts itself out over time, it means I can’t use the app for long stretches and have to keep checking and reloading until it works. It’s annoying. Again, I don’t have have a single complaint about the content FP produces. They’re an amazing publication I love to read, and would recommend to anyone. But the new app needs work, fast. It’s prettier than the old one they used to have, which is great haha but functionally its not easy or fun to use.
Broken in Dark Mode
I have my phone I dark mode and I can't read half of the articles because they appear in black text on a black background... I can read them if I copy-paste the text into a different app like Notes but that is ridiculous.
FP really good BUT
I have been reading FP for several years. Enjoy it greatly. BUT now there’s new annoying situation. I get frequent teaser emails with articles about good topics which I would have to spend significant money to be able to read. Let’s make FP accessible again(lol).
Something fishy here
It’s common for news and magazines to offer free limited apps that can be upgraded. Foreign Policy allows you to install the app with no indication that you must have an account to use it at all.

Text is too small
Great articles but text size is to small. Update to allow users to increase text within articles.
Don’t like visuals .
I can’t figure out how to change font size and it seems like it’s always in night mode. Makes it very hard to read for me. Not sure if I’m just missing anything but I’ve looked around and can’t find a solution.

There is nothing comparable for knowing what is happening throughout the world

Unable to read offline with it and as a frequent traveler that’s my main time to read. Great pity as the content is so good. Print version is much more useful at this point. Look forward to seeing a lot of improvements for this great resource.

Love the content. Very disappointed to endure ads inside a paid subscription. Difficult to read thoughtful articles with this distraction!

If you’re interested in geopolitics, you need to read FP
Garbage. Not worth two dollars.
Lowest expectations = not met. You’re charging a luxury price for a garbage product. Is it worse than paying for “The Economist”? No. But you’re basically paying for a garbage podcast (worse than what you can get for free from dozens of sources, including radio) and a blog format (text only) app interface, with quality worse than what you can get for free, again, from dozens of sources (including newspapers). Editorially, better than The Economist, but more than 1 article in 5 is just garbage that should not have gone to press at all (most often crude propaganda, occasionally sophomoric opinion pieces written from sincere ignorance). I’d take a refund if one were offered.

Foreign Policy is a great resource for policywonks and analysts. Highly recommend it especially to IR students.
Great writing, terrible app.
Foreign Policy remains one of my favorite news sources, however, this app is trash. Nearly impossible to navigate, and with a limited search function, this app does not do FP justice.
No night mode??
One of the most expensive news subscriptions out there and it’s blinding to read at night.
