Biased news, not worth reading
I used to consume a lot of my news from Politico, but over the last few years they’ve become extremely biased in their reporting. Not a good source of honest news reporting anymore. I’ve written emails to them calling out particular word choices and how they describe situations. After seeing another article today, I’ve given up removed this app.
Decent interface, don’t know why Politico Europe isn’t directly interfaced
The app is pretty decent, but it is incredibly annoying that Politico Europe is just segmented off from it. I’m guessing it’s something to do with sourcing from Axel Springer, Politico’s parent company, but it’s still annoying.
Phishing?
Have subscribed for many months. Suddenly I am required to add name and other personal info.
Changes to App
Now the app wants my email address and what type of work I do. This is so they can sell it to someone’s for political solicitation.
Politico
Very good!

Info outre-Atlantique pour une européenne
Accessible pour une européenne en mal d’info outre Atlantique et articles en libre accès : merci !!!
Difficult to read Politoco EU articles from the US
Every time this app redirects me to an article on Politico EU it has to recheck my network connection and then forces me to sign in again.
Please add Politico EU and GB!
Okay interface, does the job. The biggest ask - PLEASE add Politico Europe and United Kingdom to the app! On the website you can easily change between the editions, but on the app you only have access to the US version. Also the Politico EU app is absolutely horrible so it would be nice to have all editions in this app.
A necessity!
Reading Politico maintains me well informed and it has become a necessity to read most articles every night. Thank you!
You need my job title and company to create an account?
No way am I giving you this information just to browse news on this app.
Educated opinion for This Canadian
A number of contributors, each with their own style, provide frequent well crafted updates on the US political scene. Breakdown into categories e.g. Congress, White House, helps clarify the confused picture... sometimes.
New Format Frustrating
As a long time Politico reader, I’m extremely frustrating at the difficulty navigating the new site. It seems to be requiring me every time to enter my email AGAIN, log back in and click on the link AGAIN, in order to get full access to stories. It very frustrating to have to take 10 mins just to read. I’ve been accessing other sites now for ease of use.
Great content, buggy app
The scrolling is broken. If you start scrolling too fast you can stop it with a touch (iPhone SE [2]), which makes it annoying to browse.
good news channel good app
love the news
News turned propaganda
What used to be a well respected news outlet decided to shred any semblance of dignity or impartiality and became a mouthpiece for right wing demagogues
Good Content but overwhelmed by the Ads
Since last update it seems Politico wants the app to be the major revenue earner. So many ads continuously breaking the flow of reading. Very bad design. Also doesn’t work much in offline mode except showing the headlines - something unthinkable in 2020.
Good reporting, app backsliding
After implementing an account-required policy, many times articles do not fully load at all despite being fully logged in - a frequent and annoying major bug. Jump to last scroll position only works sporadically, and fewer overall stories appear in the app now. What a pity.
Font
Why can’t I change the damn font
Well done Politico
Clear, to the point and informative. Just what I was looking for
Even the open an account link doesn’t work!
I was seriously considering a switch from NYT to Politico but I can’t even determine the cost of a subscription via the app. It’s incredibly slow and, judging from overwhelming number of one-star category in ‘recent reviews’, is simply shut down.
Non-scalable font set-up. The consequent micrographic display detracts from good content
Was version 6.0 road-tested? Cheers
Buggy
Won’t let you read articles despite being logged in. Won’t let u log in. Can’t reset password. Can’t let u create account
Good but biased
Like the title says it is a good app but it’s very biased.Im not American and I don’t support Trump but the bias against him is startling from a site like Politico which is meant to have a good reputation like Reuters. You can see why people have no trust in the media these days because a lot of it is not even overt. The language they use is like the Guardian, they slide stuff in that Opinion Columnists would normally do.If o want someone’s opinion on something i will read an opinion columnist I don’t want it in an article that is meant to be balanced. No Newspaper/News site should have an ideology thats why no one trusts what they read in the news anymore every newspaper and network has their own political party that they support so we can’t be surprised that they’re not fair and neutral anymore and we should have more stringent laws to ensure fairness regardless of who you support politicly

Politico is pro-Zionist
I have no respect for news outlets that push Zionist propaganda.
Rating
I don’t like this new format. Please change it.
No longer able to highlight text
It’s a perverse decision to prevent the app’s users from highlighting and copying sections of text directly from the articles. I’m not aware of any other news apps that prevents this. It means I have stopped tweeting articles from the app because if I want to use a quote from a piece as a teaser (my preferred practice), I have to laboriously copy it out by hand before tweeting the article alongside it. Just way too much hassle. I can’t see any useful reason for this change. It certainly means I hardly use the app and just wait for tweeted versions from which only then can I highlight and copy sections of text. Is there a reason for this? (I use an iPhone 11)
Don’t like the new format for app
Prefer the old one
Phone version great but iPad not so much
The recent iPad version upgrade does not honour font size.
Turned into a shill for Trumpy politics
Politico used to have great cutting-edge reporting, with depth and insight. Now it’s a lot of propaganda pieces for Trumpy politics.
Doesn't work
Fails to load any content so nothing to read.
Technical Issue
You cannot adjust the font size
Great reporting.
Don’t like new format on my iPadPro, older people generally have poor eyesight and this new display makes reading headlines very difficult.
Notification doesn’t link to article
Sometimes the notification doesn’t take you to the article you are being notified about.
Fascist organization forcing employees to back Israel or quit
Yeah we don’t stand with Israel and any organization that forces employees to support the terrorist state of Israel is not worth supporting. Free Palestine
Not an improvement over prior version- too long to update content
I don't see any improvement in this version - as a matter of fact it is worse: it seems to take forever to load updated content, and sometimes it doesn't do it at all.
Bugs to fix
Great articles and coverage, but so many bugs it’s almost unusable
New format not easy
Find it hard to determine which articles I want to read as the headlines don’t convey enough information. why not show first two lines of each article.
Fast, intuitive interface
Like the app. Runs quite swift on my iphone.
Overstep
When we want to read news it shouldn’t have such a verification, you guys act like it secret news. Calm down and get over yourself!
Top! Aber nur für den, den die Innenpolitik der USA interessiert
Politico ist eine der besten unabhängigen Quellen, wenn es um die Innenpolitik der USA geht. Gute Artikel, viele Infos. Relativ selten von Werbung unterbrochen.
App continually jumps to top of page
It gets so bad I just shut it down and go elsewhere for news. Content is otherwise great but this is a major glitch that should be really easy to fix. It’s been going on for a long time.
Doesn't refresh
Nice layout, great journalism, but the app won't refresh. Even when I pull down, the app, says its refreshing but it doesn't.
A1 app
Very good reporting and presentation, WELL DONE!
Cannot access
This App is virtually nonfunctional, with the continual bombardment of a pop requiring an email, my employer, and a job description. Really? Why?
Good journalism, bad app
Needs improvement
News quality good and all ways quick to report
Push notifications don't work properly, I revive them and it launches the app and takes me to the home screen and not the article.
