Great service
No longer can find my machine
We have an older machine, but I’ve been using the app for about two years now. All of a sudden it can no longer connect to the Wi-Fi. In fact, we can’t even get it to show the WiFi symbol. We’ve deleted the machine and tried to reinstall but now it doesn’t recognize the serial number of our machine. Please fix this as we need the app to see how much time is remaining in the cycle.

Devices offline
More than half the time our devices show offline and can’t connect. When we first got our washer and dryer about 6 years ago we had connection issues and sometimes I would get notified of one being finished and sometimes I wouldn’t. It wasn’t too long before I just deleted the app. Recently we bought a range a microwave and a refrigerator. I had to get the app if I wanted to use the sync feature between the stove and the microwave which was frustrating. But everything seemed to be working. Though the washer never would connect again. So today I spent time trying to get it to connect. Now the dryer keeps saying offline and even though the stove and the microwave show connected they show very different times. Much better off leaving the tech out of the appliances if it won’t work 100%.
Cool remote bro
I like the layout of the app, controls are good, keeps a tab on your consumption. I only wish there was a sleep timer!

Has a few quirks to work out overall I love this thing. Ready on time making my life more organized!
GE and their WiFi Sukks
Their high end Cafe dishwasher cannot not be added to this app, and actually ends up in an infinite loop trying to. This app can communicate with my Cafe oven about 50% of the time. I think GE used kindergarteners to write their WiFi software. Never buy GE!
Good air conditioner
It’s a good air conditioner. Only problem is in the app. Once you use it for more than a week you can never get the filter dirty to turn off no matter how you clean it
The app is really slow
It takes forever to load up my devices. I only have two! Then when I try to turn on or off the AC doesn’t respond.
Updates Keep Deleting Shortcuts and Flaky Connectivity
The apps functionality and usefulness are pretty good…but device connectivity has always been flaky (often have to open, then close, then open again to get connections…and updates keep coming along that delete all my shortcuts…work to be done here

Have had no issues with. Reconnected no issues after a recent power loss, and after several internet outages.
Full of ads and dark patterns
I rarely write App Store reviews. This one motivated me to do so. I just wanted to preheat my General Electric oven from the bedroom while I got ready for the day. You might be surprised that my General Electric oven has an app called Smart HQ and doesn’t mention any association with the manufacturer. Indeed, this is surprising that a $350 billion dollar corporation is partnering with Haier Appliance Solutions. The top of the Smart HQ app screen is filled with an advertisement about a brand of dishwasher soap I’ve never heard of. I tried to dismiss the ad by clicking the corner X button. It opened an in-app modal overlay that failed to render properly—except of course the prompt demanding my zip code. I’m sick and tired of these third-party apps that manufacturers dump with their shoddy home appliances. I will make it a point to try out the companion iOS app before buying any major appliance in the future.

The app is slow and clunky but it kind of works
The Verification email is broken
I downloaded this app to control my AC but when ever I signed up it said I had to verify my email so I went into the spam folder and clicked the “link” it gives me but the link didn’t work for some reason so I deleted the app then redownloaded it it still didn’t work so I made a new email but it still doesn’t work if you could help me with this that’d be amazing but till then 2 stars

Incompetently designed
I bought a new house that came with GE wifi enabled appliances. Unfortunately none of them works consistently with this app. I am generally tech savvy, but this app is beyond my ability to use. The builder who chose GE wasted his money, and I in turn have wasted mine. I am very annoyed.

Would like auto time update
We have two F&P wall ovens next to each other. It irritates me when the times are different. It would be great if the WiFi link included updating the time (including DST).

Ha ha dishwasher died after 12 years so we replaced it with a GE. Everything went well. in the app - said there was a software update for the dishwasher. And now it can’t connect. Does GE actually test these things? I don’t get it??!! Was So now SmartHQ just emailed me to tell me that my accessory has been deleted from my account - for the love of Christ: Why? For some reason works perfectly with one mini split air conditioner, and the other one just keeps disconnecting. Previously I wrote a very critical two star review explaining why this app sucks rubber donkey lungs, and I went back to add a comment about Wi-Fi passwords, and my review was already deleted! So THATS why the average score is so high. POS.
L’appli sur l’Apple store dit que c est en français
Edit: 3 years of complaints and still no French translation Says a lot about the programmers ( and cie ) and how come Apple lets this false advertising go through. Anglais,espagnol et italien mais pas de français, Dear Haier how hard is it to update this app to support french? Please do. The appliances this app controls are sold all over, including at least 10 million french speaking people in North America.
Some big issues, but can remotely change settings
My biggest issue is the appliance, my best guess at least, resets settings without user input, requiring the user to log back in to change back to the desired settings.
Remote delay start function isn’t working for dish washer
For the last few days, I can’t change the washing program or delay start the dish washer from the app

App no longer allows to add or edit washer cycles. It will not save. Please fix. Purchased for this feature and no longer works.

Strong dislike
I’ve had this app around 3 years. It constantly forgets and disconnects my range. Always have to re-add it over and over. A lot of times it just doesn’t work. There’s been times it’s told me the washer and dryer were off; when I went to go tend to the clothes both were in the middle of cycles. There’s always new updates, but yet I’ve yet to see what’s been fixed

Does the new updated app version not allow for wrinkle care? I miss that feature. If it’s still part of the app, where do I find it?

Dans le Apple Store, il est indiqué que l’app est disponible en 4 langues : anglais, espagnol, français et italien. Je peux confirmer que cette application n’est pas disponible en français. Quand est-ce que cette application va être disponible en français ? J’ai acheté les produits GE car ils étaient disponibles en français ai Canada. Le français une une des deux langues officielles au Canada. J’aurais pu acheter d’autres marques mais elles n’étaient disponibles qu’en anglais. Merci de m’indiquer quand l’app sera disponible en français sinon la prochaine fois que je changerait mon equipment, je le tournerai vers une autre marque qui sera disponible en français. C’est dommage car ça ne devrait pas être trop difficile de faire traduire l’application en français. Comme on dit, on vote avec son porte-monnaie. Merci pour votre retour.

Scheduling your appliance on/off feature is broken.
Ok but not great
I have a F&P fridge and Haier HPWH F&P fridge is fine, but a) why can’t I reset the water filter warning in the app, and b) why is there no door alarm, the fridge clearly knows when the door is left open but if I am not around and it accidentally got left open there is no phone app notifications The Haier HPWH requires me to enter a model code off the cylinder every time I try to open it in the app, why can’t it remember it!

This app is very useful, much more than I expected.
ONLY WORKS 2/3TIMES
I use this for my GE Window unit AC. When opening the app the status only loads up two thirds of the time. Then the ads pop up. When I click on the x button to close the ad it takes me to the ads site instead of actually closing the ad. This has been an awful experience.
Update firmware
Issue with machine is if it runs low on water unable to control remotely with app to shut it off.
Keeps losing connection
It’s works fine but it’s always losing connection, and I have to delete and reconnect it from scratch all over just to have it connected
Stopped getting notifications
Is the push server still working? My washer and dryer haven’t sent notifications for a while. Everything is turned on in the app and phone settings.

Please give a significant name to your app!
The app works fine. But PLEASE stop trying to be creative with the name of your app and make sure that when the user types your brand’s name on their phone (not just on the App Store!), that your app is shown as a result. PLEASE have your poor users in mind.
Good concept, poor execution
My AC inexplicably and continuously goes offline even though the AC is used regularly. It’s frustrating that in order to get it back online, I need to remove and re-add it back to the app. I’ve also tried setting up the other features in the app (such as location sharing), and no response from the app. This is a huge disappointment because I bought this unit BECAUSE I could operate it from my phone.

GE Profile
The GE Profile has been a delight. Having the ability to load the machine, press your desired cycle and walk away has been a changed the way laundry can and should be done. I only wish the detergent options in the digital profile included the clean detergent we have chosen to use. Clean People is our detergent choice because it has clean and trusted ingredients. At this point we are using the automatic dispensing option, but having this detergent added to the digital list would allow us to manage the detergent usage in a more efficient manner. Overall love the GE Profile and would recommend it strongly
I can’t use it because my phone is not updated?
Give me another update then I am on ios16. I paid for a product promising smart home capability. If you have an older app that worked before why are you suddenly telling me I cannot use it? Do you desperately want an lawsuit?
Good but not the best
I have this dishwasher for a year now and all the features were working fine using the app, but few months ago one of the features(utensils)just disappeared out of app and won’t show up anymore. Very frustrating because only with the app I can use that feature

My washer consistently disconnects from this app. I have to link severals a week.
App gets stuck on “loading” pop up
This app repeatedly gets stuck on the “loading” popup when going back to the home page from your appliance. I also have one heat pump where it shows an update available but the option disappears when I click on the appliance.
