Auto scan
You used to be able to do 20 auto scans per day but now you can only do 20 auto scans per month which is I think it’s saying jump to go to for the free edition and they’re trying to get me to pay $300 for the year to be able to use auto scan like I previously was doing 20 receipts a day
Recommend to business that can afford this app
There’s a crash course of this app on you tube that was very helpful. I like that there is a free part to this app. But it’s not going to work for me. My business is very small and I don’t have very much money. The cost of this app for what I need is way more than I can afford. I do like that you can add other organizations and not just one. This app is everything that you need and more. Just to bad it’s so costly. I have to find a lower cost app. I definitely recommend if your a successful business.
Unable to add required catagories

Robust and versatile but poor support
It seems like a very good app, but simple vital features (that others have) like emailing receipts does not work and phone support calls are to people who don’t know the product. Live chats have 5 minute wait times after every response and support emails are responded to within 1-2 business days. I got this to save time. And so far the opposite is happening.
Very convenient!
The automatic mileage tracking is the most useful feature! Easily pays for itself even at $60 per year!

Functions
This app is very detached from the rest of zoho, be prepared to have to make all sorts of detached elections and configurations again because it is not able to intelligently pull info from other zoho apps...the configurations make little sense and there is no real help or guidance on anything.
Got buggy with last update
Things were good but then an update broke some things. Example I can no longer report bugs with the iOS app. It sends the bug report feedback to my own email address rather than the ZOHO support. I have 11 receipts stuck in “scanning” they have been scanned and added to reports however if I delete them from the scanning queue it deletes them globally even from reports. No way to report this. The web version doesn’t show the receipts being stuck in scanning. iOS bug

Not recommended
Originally went downloading this app The description said it was free. It would only cost for advanced features and I don’t have any advanced features in my subscription is over ? Unsure but I wouldn’t recommend this app. When I was using the app, it wasn’t tracking my location properly and would come up with an absurd number on fuel.

Can’t submit a report
That seems OK, trying to submit my first report and it says I have to verify my email. When I verify my email, then it says I’m already verified. I have done plenty of times. Deleting now . Also, I can’t tell yet, but the expense report doesn’t add up amount by category, if the final expense report doesn’t do that then Having categories as a whole is just a waste. Looking for another app that is like Expensify, so far Expensify is the best app.
Mixed bag
Has some features that make it my favorite expense app. However it consistently fails to upload captured receipts which need to be resubmitted. A fatal flaw which makes it non dependable, and ultimately unusable. Please let me know if you ever resolve the receipt upload issues and I will gladly return as a customer.
Life is Simple
Before Zoho Expenses my report was pain staking. With Zoho Expense my reports each month are a breeze!!
Horrible, unintuitive, no suppprt
This is not only the worst reimbursement app, but one of the most badly design apps I have ever interacted with on Earth. Who thought that they could publish this app without even testing it?
Overview
After two years of use. It’s a great little app if you keep on top of it. Easy to use once set up. However, there are two drawbacks. I live in the USA so would love it to be able to deal with dollars without converting to GBP. Which everyone else uses. By the time I submit the monthly reports big changes between the two currencies may of occurred. Second the capture of the receipt, takes two or three attempts to be in focus. Otherwise a fine way to capture expenses.
Needs HUGE improvement and some TLC
I really want to like this app, but the reports approvals are desperately lacking. Many of the report approvals are not visible on the main dashboard, like purchase requests and advance requests. You have to dig to find them. Why don’t they just show up on the main dashboard with the other ‘approval requests’? Simply doesn’t make any sense. Doesn’t feel like Zoho gives this app any attention for common sense updates.

Crashed on first use
Tried to create a new account using my email address. Completed all the fields to register and the app crashed. This is not the way to impress a new customer.
Great app!
Zoho Expense is easy to manoeuvre and very useful-our accountant lives in a city 3 hours away so we just send our expenses this way to get reimbursed. I find the tax section a bit confusing and the “tax inclusive” toggle is required but is annoying. It would be nice if there was a way to tell the “tax section” what amount is taxable.

I miss Zoho
I currently have to use SAP Concur and I miss Zoho! The way Zoho is set up is so well thought out. The receipt matching with personal credit card line items is impeccable. It’s just perfect. If the User messes anything up, there is a group of administrative helpers that scan and review the submitted report and catch issues, duplications or anomalies, and corrects them before it goes to your supervisor.. Conversely with Concur I spend three days out of the month on weekends on expense reports. With Zoho I don’t spend more than three hours a month on my expense reports and there are never any issues when it goes through for company approval because I have people that are part of Soho that help make sure everything is correct. I miss Zoho 😭
Seems impossible to end the free trial
I'm worried I'll get charged because I keep looking for where to end the free trial and it is impossible to find. This is not something my business needs right now. I do not use manipulative businesses. Fear and frustration is a horrible tactic to get business.
Integration with Xero
After some back and forth the integration with Xero accounting system was resolved. However when an expense report is paid through Xero you have to manually mark it reimbursed in Zoho. Aside from that it’s great.
From 5 stars to 2 stars. Keeps crashing since 4 weeks
App was great but since 4 weeks or so keeps crashing as it opens on the iPhone. Have re-installed it 4-5 times but to no avail. On an iPhone 14 pro max. I would have given it 5 stars but since maintenance seems poor it gets 2 stars only.
Powerful and very flexible
+ We use it with multi currency across several countries. Powerul online platform, only recommendation: - Please Add notifications on mobile experience!!

Zoho expense review.
Some of the categories forced me to choose a type of expense. For example I put receipts in the material category and it forced me to choose from a list. None of which had material. So in the report is shows those receipts as other expenses. Because all the others wasn’t close. It was food etc.. When it comes tax time how will I know what other is? And if you make a category there is no way to delete it. I’m deleting the app and will look elsewhere.
Fine App, but widgets have disappeared recently
Amazing app, has all the required functions. Previously, there were widgets that you could add to your home screen for quick entry of expenses. However, I noticed, the widgets are now disappeared. Please release them back.

Decent but you can probably make a better one yourself.
It's relatively easy to use, but nothing exceptional or new here. The price point is decent if you have more than three people in a larger office, but for a single-entity business, it's kind of a waste of money.

Really wish the app was updated with more modern UI like some of the other Zoho apps. This one is falling behind.

Easy to use, intuitive, accurate with AI features that makes scanning and submitting your expenses on the go a breeze.
Useless
Couldn’t get setup. Can’t enter my own address. There are many items that return no data where there should be data. It is like they created an app and then never used it for themselves.
New version getting better
As a long-term paying customer of Zoho Expense and Books, I’m really disappointed they have made this virtually useless by not being able to mark expenses as VAT inclusive. This should be the default. It isn’t and there’s no way it can be edited. Update: this has now been fixed in a further update 😁 and almost puts the app functionality back to its former state, albeit with an improved UI.
Needs default VAT rate
I like that you can recover VAT only on the fuel element of the mileage rate as set by HMRC (UK) but I am sick of selecting the 20% rate every single trip! Please allow us to select the standard rate of 20% as the default. This is a common issue throughout Zoho. Guess what? The vast majority of all VAT transactions in the UK are 20%!

Best App for Credit Card Receipt Tracking
This app well to track credit card expenses to reconcile with monthly statements.
It’s not easy to use the app at all
There are settings and from there it’s nothing easily to find to upload the expenses for the food and espeqcilly for gas Have difficulty still to upload the expenses for gas and mileage and also for every day meal
Seems pretty good
After a couple of initial setup issues (I had to uninstall and reinstall) the app seems to function well.
Do not Update to 2.0.3
The app is wonderful, amazing service from ZoHo and eases the work on ZoHo Books as you link them. However, I updated yesterday 12.05.2019 to 2.0.3 and since then the app isn’t working on my iPhone 6 Plus.
