To the point
No spin or preferences. Just the facts, arranged briefly and to the point.
Worth it ? Nope
So I bought into this App after using it for Free. What A Huge Mistake! Other than no Commercials it’s the SAME DELAYED NEWS! DO NOT WASTE UOUR MONEY .. USE THE FREE APP AND WAIT THRU THE COMMERCIALS!
Would be better without commercials.
🙂.
Audio bleed thru onApple TV
Audio bleed thru on Apple Tv 4k model A1842. Tvos 18.6 Wired connection to the router I have a video of the problem Please fix
Have watched and enjoyed for several years now
A very good news outlet but news clips are getting too long and not to the point at times. Remember the K.I.S.S. -- principle...
Spanish commercials
I love the news but I definitely don’t want to see Spanish commercials between. Im not in Spain or South America I don’t want and need to hear Spanish commercials. This is very offensive to me
New bug: delayed audio and a pop/clicking sound
When playing the news from an Apple TV the news will start to play but the audio is delayed by about 3+ seconds accompanied by a click and pop noise every half second. It was working fine until a recent app update.

Frustrated
Trying to cancel my service. Can’t find the way to cancel and every time I send an email the response is can you give us more detail to help improve your experience. Slow response on emails and not very user friendly in my opinion.
Slim international options, mute doesn’t work
Decent news app. However it’s lacking with international options and the mute button doesn’t work. It also takes about 4 hours from the time you tell the ai Chatbot you want to speak to an agent to get a hold of anyone.
Good,great, new ever !
Better than any new company. It has it all the news you want. Don’t watch any thing else. They got all the news period.
Echo and two videos playing at once
I have the Apple TV A2169 (64MB). I play haystack on here and I get an echo for the initial video. If I pause it, the audio keep playing. When I play the video after this pause, the video overlaps with the audio that kept playing. When the next video plays, then I have two different audios playing, one being the audio of the screen on the TV. Anyone getting this bug on the Apple TV?
Good, but UI could be better
My household uses Haystack on our TV, phones, pretty much every device. However, the mobile version could take some lessons from the Roku app. On the TV, you can individually pick a news station, and scroll through every clip before selecting one to watch. On mobile, after selecting a station, you have to scroll through every video TikTok/reels style. The only place you can look through every headline (without having to load a bunch of videos) under a station is to go to “related videos”, which is not guaranteed to be clips from the station. I legitimately don’t understand why the related option exists before the option to look through all of the clips from a particular station. I also wish there was a better menu that showed *every* station you follow. This is also an issue on Roku, where only a handful of the stations you follow actually appear on the menu bar. Searching only gives you the ability to follow/unfollow. Why?

Latest update
Your most recent update for the Apple TV app has completely ruined the audio extremely bad audio echo.
Great - they fixed the audio bug!
Earlier I had problems with the sound - reverb on some channels, multiple soundtracks on others - and posted in my original review. Haystack got in touch with me, acknowledged the problem and recommended that I update to v22. I did and it works like a charm! The best thing about Haystack is that you can see news from elsewhere in the world, as well as news from your local channels.

Great App need more Local Content
Love the app but need more local Canadian Content
Access to South Africa (SA) News TV Channels
I’m in South Africa & would like to have access to SA news tv channels as well
Needs a better filter.
I love the multiple sources but I would love it more if I could filter out certain sources. There is an option in the setup to select sources you want to see but it doesn’t include a full list. I wouldn’t expect the local broadcast stations to be listed individually but being able to filter out slanted content providers is critical for me.
Great News outlet customable
The app allows you to pick what news agency you want and filter news
Decent news app but ….
Decent news app but same annoying ad every couple of minutes, I don’t care about ads as long there is a little bit variety. And what is it with ads that try to scam old people out of money don’t care as long as the money is good?
Please make a desktop app.
I love this app. I use it everyday on AppleTV but wish there was a desktop version so I don’t have to burn my phone battery.
Old news
Your news is always 2 days old.
3 Stars for having Local
If it wasn’t for the Local News & Weather you get a 1 star (only because zero stars is not an option). Completely WOKE propaganda! UPDATE: Your response talks about diverse 3rd party contributors. Can you point out any conservative 3rd parties? You say you aren’t promoting any one particular view, but by not offering the options is indeed promoting one point of view. When you offer conservative 3rd parties, I’ll change my review. I didn’t say not to offer anything other than conservative, I’m asking (in addition) to have conservative options.

Great App Needs (*mini) Fix!
Haystack is one of my fav news+ apps—BUT the last update CRASHES on opening. It used to work fine and deserved ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Fix please—or will delete soon—from my iPad minis. *Haystack still works well on my iPhones.* 😃
Why is it locked to a horizontal layout?
Why is it locked to a horizontal layout?
Stupid Video Setup
The videos are really tiny; and if you choose captions, the text (which is quite readable) buries the minuscule window, blocking the view.

Me encanta, creo que es lo mejor…
Controlled by Trump & Billionaires
It’s almost Fox News for all mainstream media on Haystack. I would be so embarrassed to be a reporter right now…scared of getting in trouble for not lying & kissing Trump’s a** History will ruin you
Great app with room to improve.
I use the AppleTV4 version. For the most part, a great way to view the news you want to. Couple of suggestions - selecting a story from the AppleTV home page banner should go directly to that story rather continue to play whatever was already playing. - the app no longer updates the AppleTV home page banner when the app is ‘hovered’ over; I’m seeing stories for 2+ weeks ago. Some fine tuning of the UI would go a long way to making the app ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
Not working well
I loved this app but lately it hardly shows anything. All the things I signed up for are simply not showing on their own. They always did up to a few weeks ago
This app has gotten glitchy.
Each news segment used to run smoothly. But, some of them stop running in the middle or there abouts. I've trashed it and reinstalled. That didn't fix it. I've restarted my ipad. That didn't fix it. So, we are still buggy. Please send out another update.
Great set up
Love the diversity and choices available in topics.
More news less propaganda
One star until they remove the propaganda machine Al Jazeera from their platform.
So far....
Just started using this and nothing negative yet.
Good but can be better.
Its good but dont know which news is from which date. All news are just jumbled up. Organising is required here. Also main thing is LIVE Channels. Not pre-recorded. Also, please introduce indian news channels in English. Like NDTV 24/7, Times World etc.
Content there but other platform versions are better
The functionality is there, you get a ton of video feeds from various sources. My preference is for the Roku interface. Bringing this to iOS would be better

Impossible to cancel Haystack Premium
I have spent an hour going back and forth between Roku and Haystack because one refers to the other to cancel premium. Have to contact my bank. This is extremely poor service.is it intentional?
Haystack tv
Like the ability to tailor stories to my interests!
Dreadful
Spoiled by the repetition of the same advert.
News is great, app is garbage!
Articles, at times take a long time to load and app often freezes on my ipad. I started watching it onmy chrome browser and it is much better.
Good variety of news sources
Very easy to get a snap shot of news from different parts of the country in a short period of time.
Apple TV
The android app was great, the Apple TV app is terrible as far as navigation. You can’t get back to the beginning of a category without scrolling all the way though. If you want to watch full screen you have to jog though the star rating. You can’t turn off autoplay. Browsing available news feeds need to be redesigned.
Nice selection of News Sources
I would like to see some English language sources from South America, Australia & New Zealand and Asia.
Won't disconnect from ChromeCast
I love the app but when connected to ChromeCast, it wouldn't disconnect even after shutting the app down. Eventually had to yank out the ChromeCast from the TV and uninstall the Haystack app from my phone to get it to stop playing. Everything else is great - please fix!
PLEASE ADD PORTRAIT VIEW MODE
This app only works in landscape view. Please add a portrait view mode as well, plus add reading mode to read full news. Apart from this, this is the best news app I have ever used. Thanks.
