COMPLETE LIFESAVER
The weather section protected us from a tornado threat. GOOD JOB TEAM
Keeps Locking Up
I look at 4 articles and it locks up! Every time that I try to read the articles!
How do I turn off personalization pop-ups?
How can I disable the “Personalize FOX LOCAL” pop-ups at the bottom of the app? They’re annoying.
Another bad update
I only want LOCAL news from Florida, not news from around the country. After all, the app is called FOX LOCAL.
Not always local.
The app would have been given a 5 star rating except that it gives me news from outside my state.
Fox News I always watch
My Favorite News People
Let’s be first and sensationalise
Attention to detail is lacking An app is only as good as its content Can’t read the school closings Just comes up blank Headline says video shows….. And as typical to be first with nothing there is no video. The video is referenced and says see above but alas no video exists But they were probably first to say it But let’s not bother to proofread. Poorly written articles. Missing words in articles. Missing spaces. Guess it just falls under yellow journalism and not really in the public’s interest. Slanted to fit a narrative Articles seem to be missing lots of detail for what they are writing about. The app fails to have a way to provide any feedback other than a contract us that they just ignore just like this feedback Horrible search You get results where no words from the search show up Well that’s just clickbait Inconsistent with handshaking for sending an article via email. Took 5 attempts
No Alerts…
Notifications are no longer working. It was much better when it was an app just for my city.
Old news
News is not updated, old news. Some articles stay up forever. Good that it’s free. Not a fan of recent format change but doesn’t really matter because it’s old news. No international news, no sports
Great station
This is the first station I turned on in the morning and usually wash it throughout the day to get the local updates for weather and news
Dull
“News” repeatedly posts for days on end. Sourced from the same pool other outlets use and little, if any, effort to truly go much beyond tabloid-level quality.
Always Old News
I’m thinking the app itself is okay but the news is old. FOX Local does not update the news. Stories are sometimes as much as two weeks old. Inside the news stories the stories are one paragraph repeated three to four times to make it a long story. Reading the first paragraph gives you everything about the story. The remaining paragraphs are repetitive of the first paragraph. They’re also very biased. Go elsewhere for good news.
This app needs a lot more local Fox affiliates!
While I am enjoying the Fox Local app, it does not offer enough local stations for this app. Even the closest stations to me are so far away from where I live and their news is irrelevant me.
Steve
I was watching the 10 o’clock show - I have never felt so old “ you said when you was young the subject was called posers . When I was young we called it roll play or theater period. I love social media. I have been on online longer than my grown children. The one part she was explaining was like having a book and a coffee, and you don’t read. My generation call that attention seeker isn’t it all the same thing?Sharon Poff
Bears game
I live in Chicago and I can’t watch the Bears game
Needs a fix
I have no issue with the news side of things, I’m able to watch or read things with no issues at this time BUT… the weather side has a big flaw. When trying to check the radar, it does not resize from the small radar icon when opening it. I’m not sure if it’s a FOX29 feed issue or for all local stations nationwide. You cannot see anything on it due to this and that’s a huge oversight or a coding issue that needs to be fixed asap.
Freeze
Often, the app will simply freeze after opening and operating for 30 seconds or so. It does work if you close and reopen. But the is inconvenient
Local News Whenever
I love being able to watch news from back home when I am on the road. The APP works as advertised.
Minimizing full screen nightmare
When minimizing the screen to do other things, returning to a full screen requires a restart of the app. 😮💨
Learn how to be polite and encourage everyone to not talk at the same time.
Listening to you report on events is a waste of time if everyone is talking at once. Getting really tired of seemingly endless ads for satanic based wdw.
Weather good, traffic bad
The weather side of the app work great, it follows wherever you go. The traffic side go to eden Prairie and doesn’t follow, plus there is no recenter button. It use to be able to follow for traffic once you pressed follow on the weather side.
Go4 itttt
This app is good for wherever you are especially if you’re home sick
Newer update stinks
Why on earth would you start putting other fox 2 stations in feed? I downloaded Detroit. Give me Detroit and surrounding areas. Not Orlando. Not Los Angeles. I couldn’t care less Kim K had a break in. I could’ve read that on yahoo.
The app is not working properly
The app is not working properly for over a year. 1. The going back 10 sec feature is not working. 2. The pause and play feature is not working. These two features are extremely important and they are not working.
Fixes the app
Updated Review: I’m still experiencing issues with notifications on the FOX LOCAL app for iPhone. After troubleshooting, notifications are now coming through, but they are significantly delayed and not all alerts are being delivered. I have all notification settings enabled, Do Not Disturb is off, and I’ve already tried restarting my device and checking system settings. Despite this, the app is inconsistent with sending timely and complete notifications, which is frustrating—especially for breaking news where timing matters. Please look into improving the reliability and speed of notifications. This is an important feature, and right now it’s not working as expected.
Outstanding
Continue to enjoy and appreciate that I can get our local news whenever and wherever we are. Enjoy the continual professionalism from the entire team!
Poor Writing
The latest upgrade has made the story images huge. They take up the entire screen on my tablet. There's no need for that. The stories are poorly written, often repeating the same information throughout. I hope the stories are AI generated because I find it hard to believe a human could do that bad of a job.
New format is horrible
Now when you go to read an article, the same information is repeated at least three times in the same article.
App freezing
Can only scroll a couple articles then page freezes. It will unfreeze after several seconds, freeze again and then randomly shut down.
It Is A Great App
It’s A Great App
The Race
I’m wondering if you see israel in your dreams also? Go Abdul!!!! We did this for him and to go against the establishment….
Misleading articles
I have followed this news outlet for the better part of 10 years. They used to be unbiased towards politics. That is definitely not the case any more. I am seeing more and more articles that have unverified information or mis information being published without context trying to lead the reader instead of just providing factual content. Shame on fox 13 Tampa you were better than this.
Not Syncing with IOS update?
This app is locking up my iPhone after the most recent IOS update from Apple
Fantastic
iPhone 14 Pro Max user and the app is smooth as silk, just like my morning coffee! App rides along with me on my morning commute which is an hour long and even in the crappiest of towns where cell towers are non existent it plays on!! Love my Fox Atlanta
Won’t open
I get a oops something is wrong messages
Search??
This app is so frustrating. I downloaded it watch PWHL Seattle Torrent games. I’ve been able to watch 2 and I manage to find the broadcast accidentally. There is no search function. On a broadcast app. No search function.
Fox 13 is always there
I love being kept updated on local news and weather . I feel like I am part of your family. Your coverage is thorough and informative and it keeps me updated on our community. All your anchors feel like family to me.
Locks up
No issues until this week. Loved the app. Now doesn’t work. Freezes while scrolling through the articles.
Mr.
Why are you so biased. Why does everything have to be politically referenced. Where is the humanity in your reporting. When do you fact check your information? Why don’t you report other points of view?
