Useless app
Most accommodations say they are not pet friendly when you contact them
Great for Dogd
Not only did I get a good nights sleep the dogs did too. Room was right by the side exit which was perfect for dogs. Bed was comfortable and room was clean.
Hidden junk fees
I went through BringFido to book a hotel room and the cost in BringFido was not accurate. In fact the hotel added on $75 for the dog. This was not disclosed or charged when I booked the hotel room. This is a junk fee and disingenuous and manipulative and does not allow me to shop for the best price.
Dog friendly means dogs allowed in
I don’t consider a business dog friendly if they only let them outside. We live in Canada. That’s only gonna happen a few months of the year. Put them in a separate category. I hate having to read the description to find out that they’re allowed to sit outside only.
Great place to take your pup
We were looking for something different today for our lunch and found this place and it’s a real Jim. They have seating for up to 20 people at separate tables and the owner is extremely accommodating. They brought our pup some water and refills and even some baby carrots for a treat. We’re definitely putting this one on our list for future visits to the area.
Date requirement unhelpful
Installed the app to look at dog friendly campsites and rentals in U.K. but it insisted I insert a date. I don’t know the date of travel as that will depend on finding the right accommodation. So I couldn’t use this app for my needs. An option to mark ‘flexible’ in the date section would be helpful as it would allow me to browse accommodation options. Afraid it was useless to me in its current design.
Improved UK facilities
It’s very US centric but there is more and more UK info turning up thanks to dog owners who submit recommendations. Easy to use, nice layout.
Weight of dog
At the very end, once reservation is completed, a weight limit of 10 lbs/dog Is mentioned. It should be written up front, prior to credit card info being included
Menu is Brokern
the Filter Menu is broken. Mostly Every Every character tries to fusionied with Esch other
Great App
Lots of choices and great service. It’s easy to use.
Extensive Fine Print
BringFido used extensive fine print. On arrival at hotel, hotel did not have a pet-friendly room available. BringFido fine print indicated only certain rooms were pet friendly (for example “Queen” rooms only) but BringFido also listed King rooms as pet friendly. Fine print now indicates all bookings on Bring Fido are now in USD even if you are a Canadian in Canada booking a Canadian hotel room. BringFido will leave you scratching your head. Call a hotel directly to reserve your room. Do not use Bring Fido.

Helpful but not reliable
Very helpful to find pet friendly hotels that allow large dogs so giving it 2 stars. We made a reservation through the app directly and when we got to the hotel they didn’t have our reservation. It was the middle of the night by the time we got to the hotel, and they didn’t have any rooms available. I will continue using the app to verify hotels by will be booking either through the hotel directly or booking.com seems to also work.

Love this app!
We use this app whenever we travel. It has been so helpful finding restaurants, hotels, and dog parks. I even share it with strangers in hotel lobbies! Reviews of establishments are very spot on.
Great app but not much data
The app is well designed but lacks any real local information. Eg Only has 3 dog friendly shops in the whole of London? It basically just lists parks and dog groomers - like I didn’t already know I could take my dog there! 🤦🏻

Here we are in 2024, the era of AI, without being able to have an app in French. But why would you have to force a little to accommodate everyone.
Useful but has its faults
This was very helpful finding hotels we could visit with our dog. My complaints are that the prices are only quoted in US dollars and cannot be changed even when booking hotels. They also do not include the pet fee so you will be charged when arrive at the hotel. When you book the number of people only counts as adults. We were travelling with 3 children which makes booking through the app a challenge.
A must for traveling with dogs!

Not UK.
What there was offered for the UK when I searched for restaurants said dog friendly outdoor tables. As far as I am aware one can sit outside with a dog everywhere. So I don't need an app.

It has no stores option
It shows fairly obvious places but fails to show any stores despite there being some in the area that allow pets and I’ve added them.
Helpful app
Only gave three stars as it....Does not seem to hold date selections, number of people or dogs. I used it as reference for what hotels allowed dogs and then just called hotels to book my room

App is great but beware of currency difference
The app makes travelling with your dog super easy, but beware of currency difference, I didn’t understand why my 120$ +25$ pet fee ended up costing me 200$. When I looked into it I realized that I was charged 120$ +13$ sales tax, +13$ hotel tax, in USD when I’m Canadian , booked a hotel in Canada so I didn’t think about checking, so it ended up being 171$ + 27$ pet fee. Plus the 100$ deposit that I will get back, but until that’s put back on my card, I’m out 300$ for 1 night stay in a “120$” room. Just something to keep in mind if you’re travelling on a budget! Aside from that I love the app.
Meh
Tried using this app for my trip from wainwright Ab to Happy Valley Goose bay. Every town I had planned to stay in, would have nothing. Useless outside of larger areas.
I really wanted this app to work!
The dates and room needs always default to the current date, so you have to really watch and keep updating that information when searching, incredibly frustrating. The prices are not changeable for USD to CDN $$ And on the desktop version would bounce me out to booking.com showing me properties that didn’t allow pets!! I gave up! Great idea, I really wanted it to work but it didn’t!

Bed bugs
Got in late brushed my teeth and pulled back covers about to jump in bed.... noticed black dots everywhere on sheet. Closer look found at least 30 bed bugs in 10 seconds. Grabbed all my stuff and my dog headed down to front desk. Told them about bed bugs and was asked how many lol. Told her 30 and she replied that’s not to bad? I asked for refund and told her I was checking out and was told it’s non refundable. Truthfully didn’t care about refund just glad I seen it before I jumped in bed and total time in room was about 8 minutes so shouldn’t have carried any with me or dog. Also really funny smell in room?? Possible fumigating while renting out room. Do not stay here.

Good app, can’t book
That app is good , great idea ! Unfortunately doesn’t allow me to book the dates I like , it changes them for me !!! I’m saving the dates I like in my search and just before I have to pay , the app changes the dates !!!
What a great assist
BringFido is a great help when traveling to new places and even around town trying new places to go with our dog . She loves visiting new places , as do we , and it’s nice to have a website that helps us pick places to stay , dine or just visit that is welcoming.
Customer service lacking
I’ve recently used this app and while the concept is awesome, the information contained within is severely lacking. First they didn’t have accurate information at to what type of beds you could reserve in the pet friendly room of our specific hotel, not a major concern but annoying. Second there was no transparency in the booking flow that prices for a Canadian hotel, were actually listed in USD. This amounted to a $60 higher booking when the conversion was done. Back and forth with customer service without any resolution on the pricing issue, the reps would write in a way that they seemed concerned, but then wouldn’t follow up unless prompted by me when the time frame for resolution became much longer than anyone should expect. Would rather search and book on my own in the future.
Bring Fido
This app is definitely worth checking out. It is sometimes hard to find a hotel for our dog. Earlier there was a small glitch with the app. Bring Fido quickly resolved my issue and they patched their software. Rest a sure this company stands behind their product and customer service followed through on their end. My wife and I just booked a hotel for the weekend through Bring Fido.
