Nice overnight and quiet
Stayed overnight on my way to Las Vegas. Very clean bathrooms and great shower. Level sites and the night I was here was quiet.
Trips default to public
Pro version saved trips default to public, not private. If we trust our travel plans to any company, that data should be confidential by default. Delete buttons are there, but hard to find.
Hate the updated version
New version sucks. Glad I have to pay to use the navigation now. 🙄

Became a useless app
You will recognize very fast this app is only about making money. What a trash became this great app?!?!?! The answers from campedium to reviews are BS!
Nice place for one night
we were directly on the beach with wonderful view. But no service. There's orher full services sites. Rocky beach and shell. Need water shoes. We even eat oester. No digestive problems but not recommended by Ocean Canada.
No tent site filter
They should not put tent camping in the title of the app if it doesn’t have a tent site filter. They only filter for RV sites. Otherwise it’s just dispersed camping options that could work for either. I was looking for an app that would integrate walk up sites and dispersed sites so that I can find the most convenient tent camping spot that is likely available. This app does not serve tent camping. That’s just an afterthought.
This feels like Roadtrippers now
Something is off when you open the map. I don’t see all the campgrounds I used to see. Thank god Liz is still there because I don’t think I would have figured out how to use the updates if she wasn’t. That’s one thing I’ll say - Campendium has always had good support and it always seems to be Liz. I’ll keep trying to use the app because I already paid and it seems like they are listening to feedback.
Great app and support
We have used Campendium for about 6 years for all our RV trips. Information is usually correct and reviews of sites are very helpful. Just make sure to see when the review was posted. I also like that we can leave a review of the campground if it is different from what we read.
New version is useless
As a full time rver I use to use this app all the time. Like most users I would type in a city or location and look for nearby spots to dump, camp, etc.. Now typing in a city brings up no results. Everything is pay to play. And I might be willing to pay if somehow this app was more useful than just searching on Google Maps.
New revised is not good
Even AI suggests Allstays for Alaska since the last buyout. Search Tok. Not a thing while there are several paid campgrounds. Campendium used to be my go to, I’m sad.
Unhappy with new version
Previously my top app for researching campsites. I really miss the simplicity before the recent change.
update bugs
i updated app and found that words were running off page. couldn't read it, reached out to campendium and Liz got back right away said they were aware of problem and would get back with me when they corrected it, in a few days she got back with me and all is well they did a fine job! thank you for the support!
Used to be great now useless
I used this app all the time to find dispersed campsites. This new version basically makes it impossible to use. So clunky.

This was a great app until a couple months ago when they updated it. Now it’s pretty worthless.
Nice Try, try again please
You went too far with all the filters, while leaving out important features that were there before like the ability to copy a campground address so it can be pasted into another navigation app or filtering campgrounds by rating. Why is Property Type listed twice in the filters????
Top boondocking app
If you want to RV boondock, this is your app. Do not buy anything else.
New UI is bologna
Please change it back. Used to love this app. Now is unusable.
Major decline in usability
We have been full timing for 7 years and used this app almost exclusively. It is no longer as good as it used to be. We had a paid subscription that will be terminated. The new app is worthless.
Excellent Service
I had a problem with my subscription not showing up because I had signed up with Apple and used an alias email. When the Pro membership was recently updated to RV Pro, I couldn’t get in… I emailed customer service and provided my signup information and showed my receipt, and they had everything straightened out within 24 hours. Highly responsive, polite, and overall excellent customer service experience. And I love the app and its recent updates, too!
New version is trash
You used to be able to look at a place on the map and tap through all levels of campsites (RV resorts, NFS, BLM, Dispersed etc) and see how long of a rig you could park there, see pics, reviews it was so helpful and amazing when exploring an area or traveling. Now it’s garbage and you might as well zoom in on Google Maps with nothing in the search bar. Don’t waste your time with this one.
I used to loved this app
I used to love this app to find camp spots. I was also just talking to my husband about how it would be nice if there was an app that gave you RV friendly routes with RV friendly gas stations. We are trying out the free trial currently and aren’t impressed with the fact you can’t find stops along the way while you’re in navigation. I also really dislike that they got rid of the filter on the map. It’s nice being able to change between dispersed camping, paid camping and dump stations, etc. I really dislike the new changes. They are not user friendly at all.
Love camping spot
We thoroughly enjoyed camping at the Krager Lake Rec. site for 2 nights. Started our first morning wit a warm-up bicycle ride around the lake & the tackled the Mtb trails. It's awesome!! Ended our day with kyaking and enjoyed sharing the lake with a loon & ducks. We will definitely come back to this spot. Yes, and all of this only cost us a donation.
Performance on the new design
It’s been a couple years since I’ve opened the app and recently I opened it and noticed the new design is noticeably less performant and slower to respond to taps and scrolls. The new map is also less easy to scan. I’m on a one year old iPhone pro. Filtering is now gone. What happened to the app?
Was Great, Now Meh
This app used to be useful, now it provides a lot less information about campsites. I’m not going to renew.

Paywall everywhere
The latest versions of the app have blocked all usability behind paywall screens. This previously was my favorite camping app, but their pay tier is simply too expensive for the features I want to use. If I wanted RV navigation, maybe the $59 would be worth it. So frustrating to see great apps get chewed up by corporate. I’m happy to pay something, just not what they are asking.
Used to be incredible, new updates stink :/
I have used Campendium for years (started using in 2020) and it WAS my favorite go-to (was even better than iOverlander in my opinion). I have used it for many many camping trips and while sites can be a gamble at times, it has been an incredible app for finding dispersed spots. Unfortunately, the newer updates have really changed things and I now have struggled to find good sites, lost all my saved spots, and it makes it impossible to map to sites through the free option on the app. Feeling sad and frustrated because this really was my go-to for years!
Great for Trip Planning
This app is essential for RV trip planning especially when it comes to private and regional camp sites that are hard to find elsewhere. The locations of Sami-dumps super helpful as well.
Hate the new version
I do not like this new version. It feels harder to use. Will be using my other apps . I was going to sign up for pro but if it’s hard to use why spend the money. So disappointing. I used to love it.
Very unfortunate new version
As a full-time RVer, this app was my go-to for years. The recent update has completely gutted my traveling process. Everything I liked about this app is gone. The preview display when clicking on a site used to display a preview photo, most recent price and rating. It’s all gone, now you just have countless anonymous icons on the map and you have to pull up the full page for every one of them one at a time. You also can no longer copy coordinates to your maps program like you can with every other app on the planet. These changes reek of decisions made by someone who has never relied on the app before. They also reek of greed. Campendium has always been a reliable free resource with valuable premium paid features. It is no longer a reliable free resource and I imagine many other apps will see an influx of traffic due to these new changes. After recommending this app countless times, I will no longer be advising anyone to use this until the original spirit of the app is restored.
Relaxing campground
We stayed for 3 weeks. Close to Montpelier. Sites are large fit our 42’ 5th wheel and truck in front with no problems. Laundry facility is great and inexpensive to do your wash. Williamstown is a short drive away. Small town not much in ways of grocery store but has gas with a large convenience store. You do need to drive through a trailer park before getting to campground. Separate owners and once you get to the gate of the campground and meet the owners it’s all good. Andrea and Rick are very nice and keep the grounds clean. There is a beach and a walking trail that takes you around the small lake that’s about 1 mile long.
What happened??
How is copying a gps coordinate a premium feature? Useless.
Changes suck!
We are doing a five month 15 national Park trip this summer. When I started planning back in November January and February compendium was great. Just about the time we hit the road. They did all Now it is so hard to use! Right in the middle of looking something up it will just disappear. It is so much harder to read the reviews and find exactly what you’re looking for. It was such a great app. why did they have to change it so completely. Now it sucks.
