In the picture on Amazon it showed it reported health info such as weight does not do that nor does it report every visit
Litterbox 5, App 2
I love my Purrtek litterbox. I’ve had it 2 years now and have had no issues, I recommend it to everyone. Never bothered with the app, but recently had to hide it away so the dog can’t get it, now I can’t see the “full” light, so I thought the app would be helpful. The app needs a little love. Set up was ok. But there isn’t anywhere to adjust notification settings. It has a lot of features for a smart home - but is anyone actually using petcove for lights and coffee makers? Seems like an app for something else thats been repurposed…
Not big enough
This is only big enough for a very small cat. My 12 and 14 pound cats will not get in.
Just okay
It’s definitely nice to be able to clean the litterbox, and use the odor control, with the app; however I wish that the app would tell you when the litterbox is full.
Don’t do what I did
I tried to force my cat into the robot and now he won’t go near it anymore
Auto cleaning doesn’t work
Bought this new and out the box it will not run a self cleaning cycle. Not happy at all
Not as easy as it looks
The auto scoop feature does work really well. Not all cats like it and that causes problems. There is no check bag feature. YOU must do it yourself. And then top off the litter. Be sure to replace the bag before replacing the litter. You will never have enough room in the bag. With 2 cats, 3 days is long enough. 4 days is too long. I’ve tried to figure out the other features and some of them look useful. However I have to unplug the unit every time to change the bag or it will start cycling without a bag if I’m not done. It doesn’t know that the door is open even when I tell it I’m changing the bag. Put your litter in before plugging back in. It will auto level and center the barrel if you don’t move the barrel or else you will have to center the barrel too before plugging back in. The other feature that is good is the infrared sensor. I give it 15 min to clump between each cat’s use. Make sure you check and clean the rubber liner when you replace all the litter. This task is WAY harder than if you had a std tray litter box unless you have a scissor jack underneath the platform so you don’t have to kneel down and crouch over to get inside the barrel. Or you can build a holder for the barrel, remove the waste litter first and then pick the barrel up and put it on the holder to clean. Put a new bag in. Replace the barrel and center it. Fill with litter. Plug in and once it levels the litter turn on the infrared sensor. Sometimes I think it would be just as quick to clean a tray. But if you’re gone for 2 days at a time this is a good solution.
App has issues with connectivity
Have to reset app a lot for connection issues. Not very fluid.
False advertising
The ad shows that the litter box tracks the weight of up to 3 cats. The app looks nothing like what’s shown, and the litter box does not monitor weight or anything else. You lose all the data once a new day starts, so there’s no tracking or monitoring
Great option
Our cat didn’t like the enclosed one as they grew up, they kept waiting to use the normal litter box for our older mainly outside cat. This option allows for smooth transition and they both don’t feel closed in with. Great way to have an automatic cleaning litter box that is close to a normal litter box. Nice you can set how long before it cleans after use too.
Invasive notifications
There is 0 way to customize notification settings in the app. With multiple animals the notifications about how offen they use the litter box and cleaning cycles are way much.
2@ 17 pound cats
It’s taking my boys along time to transition from Litter Robot to this new smaller interior one. But after following all the kind guidance from your staff The boys seem to be doing better with it every week that passes by!
Support is lacking
I find the lack of tech support frustrating. The box keeps going offline and the weights of the cats fluctuate dramatically.
Purrtek smart litter box
The cycle for cleaning is kind of very slow. It’s difficult to tell if it is working fine or not because the clump stays so long before it drops. I hear strange screeching noise when the drum turns aside from the regular rotational noise.
Change is good
It might be to early to comment on the quality, dependability, and service. But so far exceeds my expectations. Previous owner of 2 most popular and expensive brand.
Not happy with any aspect of this whole system
I have had this system now for several months and get more and more unhappy with it. It is definitely not made for a big cat, much less one that likes to dig. The new app has made it even worse. As many times as I change the settings they reset by themselves.
App needs to request local network
The app needs to request local network access but doesn’t. Their instructions are to manually give local network access but you can’t unless the app requests local network.
App works I think
The app feels unfinished. Awkwardly able to navigate.
Mocha Bean approved
Took the super old smell bad litter box out slid this one in and to my surprise it’s WiFi with an app . Got that hooked up set the time for 5 mins after . And my cat loves it . Used it right away . I love it at 77 I no longer have to sit on a tiny stool to scoop daily just open pick the bag up and toss . Why did I wait so long lol
Not very useful..
I have two cats & it only gets one of their weight… one of them is 2 pounds which DOES show and my other is 6 pounds & it doesn’t show at all. I have no issues with the robot itself other than it tweaking every blue moon. The app could be more informative and useful.
Unhelpful information
I currently get about four push notifications every time my cat goes to the bathroom. There’s no way to configure it so that I only get notified if the litter box needs attention (changing the bag, replacing the litter, errors). Very annoying. Also the graph to show me usage isn’t useful and doesn’t communicate the information in a meaningful way.
Purfect
I wasn't sure at first that Sir Wayne was going to like it. He seemed very hesitant at first and now I think he's accepted it and actually likes to watch it work it's hilarious. Would definitely recommend! My only con is that it would be nice if the litterbox tray was stainless steel instead of plastic for better sanitary reasons but other then that it's purfect.

I reviewed hundreds of models and spent countless hours researching.I’m a real cat mom this has a lifetime warranty this model has everything tech except a camera. No smell hands free with ion deodorizer no filters to deal with. Best decision I ever made and you will agree,can handle 3 or more felines I only have 1 but from using it over 2 months I can confidently rate this model cat ears limited addition only 5 stars I would rate it higher if I could it’s a 100/100 for my furbaby and household!!!!!!!!!
Game changer!
The best cat litter box I have ever purchased, I wish I had bought this one 10 boxes ago, it would have saved me a lot of money! Cleans excellent and I love that I can set the time I want it to clean after my cat exits. Very quiet and really there’s virtually no smell! I use Pretty Litter with mine and I have yet to see feces in the box, it scoops it all away every time! I would buy this one again and again!
