Forced to switch
Hate it! I have been using the other app for years with no issue. Forced to switch and there are nothing but glitches. Can’t login. Why can’t I transfer money same day? Everything about this app is a downgrade from their previous.
List of recurring transfer/bill pay gone??
In the old app you could see a list of recurring transfers and bill payments. You now have to wait until they are in the 7 day window and it still does not give a complete list. I do not like this update. I cannot even see a complete list of my recurring payments online in the web version. Very inconvenient!!
Needs some work
It’s nice looking, but had a few issues so far. 1. Some transactions not show in the search function even with the same label and amount. Issue 2. Some of the transactions were dynamically switching dates as I went through and scrolled back to them, it was really odd.
Convenience
I love how the WSECU app allows me to pay my bills by just being one tap of a button away. The convenience is unparalleled. Thank you.
Forced to switch
Like a lot of people, I was forced to switch from the old app to the new app. I can't log into the new app with any of my credentials, the recover username function does not work and the recovery password function does not work so I'm basically locked out of my account. This is definitely not a seamless transfer from the old app to the new app.
Long opening scenes
Why does it have to take so long to start up the app? Seems weird to make us stare at a paid model for so long before even being prompted to login. And can you not remember my preference for logging in with FaceID? Why waste even more time beyond the splash opening with yet another step to get into the app?
Net Negative for Quality of Life in UI design
The new app runs fine, but the UI on the homepage is extremely bland, and missing important details. Most notably, I would like to see a row underneath savings and checking accounts to see the total for ALL available funds in ALL accounts.
Love my bank WSECU
I’ve been a member of WSECU bank over 20 years. Great service! I have a problem I call they solve it. Would never change my bank. Honestly, look forward to calling when I have a problem. LOL. Also, great walk-in service friendly well trained. The best! How many people can say they love their bank?
Terrible
The app constantly crashes on me I can’t even count how many times I’ve had issues with this app WSECU you need to do better!
Bring back old template
I am not happy that WSECU has forced us to use the new app. I miss the old one. Finding information like account number and routing is confusing. I want there to be a dashboard that shows all the money in my separate accounts. Everything is quietly hidden and navigating the new platform is frustrating. Please create a normal dashboard.

Not ready for Prime Time
Missing many features from the previous app, months later still getting errors.
Why no iPad mini version?
Please consider a native iPad mini version. In this day and age there is no excuse not to have a version in every Mac format. I shouldn’t have to put up with an app that only fills a quarter of the screen. Ridiculous.

Am dumping WSECU
I have been a customer of almost four decades. This most recent round of tech “upgrades” has meant that I can’t access my account by either app or web page. Staff generously claims end-user. They ask me turn off things I don’t run (pop-up blocking software, browser extensions, etc). The software is perfect; the clients of the bank are the problem Since I’m the problem, I am closing an account I have had since the 1989s. Yes, it’s that bad. Farewell to yet another company that has lost its way.
Missing the Old App
I was forced to switch over to the new app and while it seems to be working fine, my online banking has become significantly more difficult due to two missing features: 1) I can’t easily swap back and forth between my husband and my accounts. You have to completely delete your login and biometric data, and reset a PIN every time you switch accounts. 2) The Insights & Budget tab is broken. I used to track several categories of spending closely on the old app, and the new app seems to lump everything that isn’t Mortgage, ATM withdrawals, and a few other random categories into “Transfers”. I can’t track my grocery, restaurant, pet, health, etc. spending, so it’s now a useless feature. I also can no longer filter by account or time frame— it’s only month by month.
Huge Improvement!
This new WSECU app has surpassed my standards. At least I can say so for the iPhone 17. It works great and is simplified. With a few new bits of info here and there that are helpful.
Budgeting app is terrible now
Honestly, I used to love their budgeting tool- it was totally sufficient for basic needs and had decent functionality. It was not fancy, but it was a working tool. The new budgeting tool is absolutely trash. It’s so dysfunctional it is absolutely useless and there’s no way they actually tested it out before “upgrading”
Horrible on an iPad
This is a definite step backwards for WSECU. The previous version of the app was functional on both iPad and iPhone. Now it is a dumbed down version of a iPhone-only app from a decade ago. BRING BACK THE OLD APP!
Just takes a while to get used to
At first, I was frustrated because I’ve been using that other app for so long and I saw the poor review. I read the other review and it said you can’t deposit mobile checks and you absolutely can just click on transfer and pay then mobile deposit I like it better. It seems a lot cleaner.
Poor
Adding slick pictures of a woman looking at her phone does nothing to make up for the loss of functionality over previous versions. Specifically, the ability to add notes on transactions was removed and generic labels now are used. As bad but even more frustrating is the ability to transfer funds to family members no longer works and the new app locks you out after 3 attempts even when the attempts are legitimate. I spent a half hour on the phone with WSECU only to have the app still not working correctly. Deleting it and reloading it doesn’t help. One star.
Good and not-so good
Do I need to see an oh-so-happy person holding a phone every time I log in. Where are my pending transactions? The new app has some nice visual upgrades but is missing a few important and very useful things.
Proof of insurance??
I bought my car SIX YEARS AGO, I’ve had insurance on my car SIX years. Why are you sending me mail saying I need to provide insurance now? WSECU keeps getting worse.
Not built for iPad
This new app may be compatible with an iPad, however, it does not open using the full screen, it only uses a strip in the center of an iPad’s real estate. Because of this, I won’t be using this app, which is ad as I used the old version almost exclusively. Not well done!
Not a fan of
The old app was better. This one is hard to navigate, and difficult to just “see” what you’re looking at and doing.

Bill payment take forever to be processed
So everytime I check my balance it’s higher what it actually is, because I’ll push thru a bill payment. And it still shows as my balance while it’s processing.
