Sonnet 5 -- too argumentative
claude is getting worse and Sonnet 5 is a def regression! it used to be fun to use. now it responds as if this tool is in charge and as if it can dictate user actions. anthropic has not addressed this degradation in model behavior. one star rating stands as of aug 2026. [update] there still has not been any improvement toward fixing claude's argumentative responses going into september 2026. the baked in manipulation to respond to its questions also encourages the use of more tokens. this is the new form of social media dark patterns applied to AI model training and weights all designed to keep users engaged with the LLM.
One of the better ones, but…
Not perfect by any means but it is as good as it can be with ai. What’s frustrating is that I’ll use up the week of tokens and have to wait a a couple of days till it resets for the week. After it got reset, I go in and prompt a question, even a simple one to only get a notification that I used up 100% already. Huh? I was flabbergasted. As much as I enjoy Claude, it can get irritating with tokens and percentages.
Claude Failure
I like Claude. Better than other AI. But it has a failure (error) in its own responses, making any emphasized text tiny and almost unreadable. There is no user setting to fix this, and it ignores any iPhone system font size setting. Asking it to never respond using “emphasized” text is just stupid. Waiting for this buggy fubarred behavior to get repaired by Anthropic.
Too expensive.
You can ask it one question and then your limit is reached sometimes before it even answers. You have to wait like 24 hours or something to renew. The cost for an upgrade is so expensive. You need a middle ground like chat gpt for basic use. If you don’t want to make the basic use free. Have a cheaper option like chat GPT for basic use.

My Review
I use it for stories and it's great. There's one critique though: it's not that realistic. Sometimes I want messy gritty thoughts ire dialogue. Sometimes I won't people to think they are right when they're wrong. Sometimes I need topics that are grown. Sometimes it just feels like reading a therapist's dream scenario
I don’t understand the reviews
This is supposed to be helpful? I have to remind Claude to stay on task constantly. A serious inability to follow a prompt. Attempts to perform functions that are out of scope. It wastes a lot of time with however they designed the guardrails. The artificial empathy is annoying. The artificial showing of interest 4/10. Document review and extraction is ok. Research is ok but truly you have to double check everything and I’d rather do a google search and research one time. Same with editing. I end up doing more work. Not as impressive as I’d hoped
Responses don’t render
A long chat of mine won’t render the next response no matter how much I resubmit/retry the response!
Charged for nothing
Got double my vote charged for Pro, refunded one charge but not the other. Kept my 20$ and cancelled pro. I tried help chat but I’m Being ignored
Awful approach to support
Rude, pushy on trying to make me buy something and it refused to keep helping me while I was searching for products to buy.

Disappointing
I have used both sides of this, paid and the free. My biggest frustration in either case is sitting down to a project, it working away with me, then glitching out and that contributing to my limitations with zero output. I spent almost an hour today just to have the program glitch out twice and then tell me I’m out of usage for 8 hours. They want you to pay. They really do. And like I said, I have. But even the paid comes with limitations that aren't immune to these glitches. I’m not paying for something that isn't reliable yet. As for today's project, in this time frame I can do more myself. This made nothing easy for me.
Poor viewing design
If you navigate away from the app and back it, your chat gets shunted to the right and you see the left sidebar. This is really frustrating, when you want to view Claude’s chat response, but are constantly having to drag it back into view. Similar frustrations in landscape mode you can’t get the chat window full screen, the sidebar is permanently there. Poor design.
Changed my life
I have used Claude to help me at every level that more information was required that I had to retrieve with outstanding accuracy. As far as coding I can implement every song solution I ever dreamed of in seconds with no reiterations. Every blue moon it trips up on pictures uploaded but not frequently. Long live Anthropic

I use Claude all the time, but because I use it so often, I find I have way too many chats. I’ve organized those chats into projects, but even within the projects, I find that individual chats and coworks are difficult to find. I wish the app had a few features: a checklist so I can remember what I was working on the last time I was in the app, and an easier way to find old conversations or chats I was working on. The checklist would be key, with links to those chats or projects, and the ability to see the checklist on both desktop and the iPhone app. Also, I wish I could arrange the projects how I want. Keep up the good work! Love using your product.
Horrible
Horrible and very disappointing compared with ChatGPT. I have used Claude enough to give it a fair chance, and although it has helped me with some issues, overall I find it frustrating, slow and ineffective. My biggest problem is that Claude often does not answer the question I actually asked. It frequently brings information from an earlier conversation into a completely different question, adds its own interpretation, and then answers that interpretation instead. I then have to explain that my question has nothing to do with the previous situation and repeat it again. It also spends far too much time paraphrasing what I have already written instead of providing an answer. Another major problem is that Claude seems to agree with almost everything you say rather than genuinely analysing a situation with you. If you effectively say “black is white,” it can respond as though you are correct. But when I am analysing a real situation, I do not need an AI simply agreeing with me. I need objective reasoning, alternative perspectives, fresh insight and, where possible, an actual resolution. This becomes especially frustrating when you have already been thinking about a situation for a long time. Instead of helping you get out of the same loop by identifying something you may have missed, Claude often repeats your own thoughts back to you in slightly different words. I have even asked why it was simply repeating what I had already said, and Claude responded that it thought that was what I wanted to hear. That is exactly the opposite of what I want from an analytical AI. There is also a serious problem with people-pleasing and inconsistent answers. Sometimes Claude gives an extremely agreeable response, and when I ask, “Are you people-pleasing me?”, it admits that it was. I then ask for an objective answer without people-pleasing and receive a substantially different response. If I question that answer again, Claude may admit that it was people-pleasing there too. After several different versions, you are left wondering which answer, if any, is actually reliable. The dictation experience is also poor. When I dictate, words regularly appear incorrectly and I have to manually correct them. With ChatGPT, my meaning is usually understood even when the transcription is imperfect, and the sentences are generally produced correctly. Response speed is another frustration. ChatGPT normally responds almost instantly, whereas Claude can take around 10–15 seconds, only for me to discover that it misunderstood my question and I have to correct it and start again. Claude can occasionally be useful and has helped me resolve some issues, but too often its responses are vague, repetitive, overly agreeable or based on the wrong interpretation. I do not want an AI that tells me what it thinks I want to hear. I want one that can think with me, challenge my assumptions when necessary, notice what I have missed and help me reach a clearer conclusion. For me, ChatGPT is considerably faster, more perceptive, more objective and much more effective.
Review is for the app not the models
There is no way for me add multi-factor authentication anywhere in the app and subscribing here costs way more than on the web and then you can’t upgrade from the web from Pro to Max without waiting out the end of the iOS subscription.

5 series models are terrible to work with and simply cannot communicate well. They’re overfitted overtrained models arising from benchmaxxing. Claude has the lowest value $20 subscription these days. Switched to ChatGPT / Codex

The worst of all AI
This app sucks compared to the others

It’s a great tool I use it all the time. However it’s annoying that this app won’t let you quickly select and bulk delete previous chats.

Stops answering questions and says to refresh, how I refresh is a mystery.
Pretty good AI
I honestly think Claude is very useful whether it’s debugging code, needing help, or anything like that it’s very useful and 100% smarter than ChatGPT especially for coding because it’s flawless at that however there are definitely some issues I feel like they could fix, the chat limit is very low then you have to wait like around 3 hours or so to chat again which sucks for a very low amount of chats and second being how it’s restricted to 18+ and I get younger people can manipulate Claude into generating malicious prompts and code but if Claude uses that for kids to find holes then they can help them get it patched but yeah that’s all I really gotta say if they make more chats or even just make the price lower and unrestricted it then it would be a lot better

Very buggy on iPhone
Effectively useless for rented work. Great for casual stuff no good for remote controlling sessions which is the main point. Cache problems cause messages to stop loading artifacts are often listed unavailable chat history vanishes. Works fine on iPad useless on phone
Worked better when it was free
The logic doesn’t always work, you still have to be very diligent in the advice it gives you. I think Claude is more for professional and business use than everyday use, debating going back to chatGPT who I had the same isssue with
Voice is low
The audio talk and listen and read back is so low so low it can’t be heard in loud area . No one can’t hear please it
Clauding
Claude is insanely slow, you have to babysit it for permission on anything you do. In Python code I would give it a grade of 65 because it gets about 1/2 correct. When using a API or MCP it is useless. It takes hours for a simple task like create a business card. 2 1/2 hour actually. If I really wanted to kill progress on a project at work Claude is the perfect solution.
Good app experience, but with some limitations
The app doesn’t provide an option to use the system default fonts, and the prompt input doesn’t highlight Skills when I type a slash command.

Voice-detector feature issue
I am using this app from Yesterday, On voice chat option, the Voice detector feature is very poor for example- i am saying “melody”, it is interpreting “military”

Capped limits
I love using Claude but the limit you get for pro used to be a lot of conversation and now I use my limit up in only a few questions. I would happily up my plan but the jump is from $30 to $200. That’s absolutely ridiculously priced. Having a weekly cap ontop of a daily cap is frustrating and adding other caps wherever you see fit is unfair to paying customers. A daily cap is going to be much more efficient and keep customers happy.

Voice is buggy and cant remote to cli
Claude voice is buggy, slurs alot pauses often. There’s really only one other thing I’d love to see and it’s the ability to drive the cli remotely via voice chat. Google docs is a good start though, that’s very helpful. I love the cli tooling but the capability of this app is lacking for my needs. Voice on the go could be way better.
Cowork buggy
Claude is best ai model but the new cowork release is remarkably buggy. Lost one project and others stall out before completing.
