What people like
- Great reading experience for comics and manga
- Huge library with tons of different titles
- App is well made and easy to use
What they complain about
- You must pay extra to read popular comics
- Subscription doesn't give full access to series
- Hard to find new issues of your books
- Image Comics are leaving the platform soon
I don’t need to collect comics anymore
This has so many titles that you can read with a subscription
You have to pay to read
You can only read one page then you have to play to see the rest
Needs friend feature!!
I have purchased a year’s worth of gold on this app and feel confident in saying this is a fantastic app either way, lots to choose from! It’s a little sad that as of now Image comics are no longer offered on here, but other than that this is a very good app. HOWEVER, this app would be a no-brainer 5/5star app for me IF it had a friend feature! It would be so much fun to compare stats and lists with your friends, and it seems a bummer to me that you can join chat rooms but can’t have friends on here! If you’re part of the dev team and are reading this, PLEASE consider this!
Image
Don’t get wrong this app is awesome but since the departure of Image Comics books I can’t really recommend the gold subscription. Dark Horse and IDW stuff is cool to have but I use both the Marvel and DC apps so those being on here don’t entice me.
Confused
i'm having a hard time understanding that if I'm paying for a gold membership, I should be able to binge the entire collection, but you give me access to one volume and then I have to pay for the remainder of the volumes, especially with Absolute Batman. If I have a gold membership, I should be able to read all of it. You only let me read all of volume 1, then try to make me pay for volume 2? It doesn't really make sense. Any comic book that isn't a big titled comic, I get free access to; I can read all of it. But stuff like Absolute Batman, Ultimate Spider-Man, stuff like that, you put up paywalls. So what's the purpose of having a subscription if then you're telling me I have to pay out of pocket to continue reading the rest of the series?
Awesome comic app
I love this app. It has TONS of comics for just about any genre that you like.
Image comics gone, year subscription wasted
Total rug pull from these losers, as they got rid of the reason for subscribing while not offering any cancellation for yearly members. Terrible business and will be gone soon.
Image Comics
great app. would be 5stars if Image Comics was on here.
iPad’s version no longer working.
Stopping my sub
Unfortunately, they lost Image Comics
I subscribed to read a backlog of Image comics, but come to find out that Image is pulling all their comics from GlobalComix on August 3rd 2026. This is massively disappointing and leaves little to no reason to remain subscribed.
Good
This is a cool app to catch up on all the cool indie and known comic groups. Awesome place to be.
Paid for membership
To find out you need to pay more to actually read anything in the app
App is great, subscription is not
The use of the app is great, works well, etc. The range of comics available with the gold subscription is simply not worth it, as only the first couple issues are included of many mainline comics. With the loss of Image Comics, I simply would not recommend the Gold subscription as worth it.
No pull list or subscription feature?? PLEASE make it easier to buy books from you!!
I love this app, this company, the books they have, etc., but they make it SO difficult to find the books I’m looking for. If I want to find a new issue of a series—even one that I have bookmarked—I have to search for the series, open the most recently read issue, close that issue, then scroll through a ton of back issues (especially bad for long-running series) until I can finally buy the newest issue. There are other ways to get to the newest issue, but they’re just as convoluted. AND, for reasons I can’t fathom, they DO NOT have a subscription or pull list option. So if I’m buying 5 comics this week, I have to spend 10 minutes doing the above process. It’s a comic book store! How do you not have a pull list option??!! I want to give GlobalComix my money—a lot of it, every week—but it’s like it goes out of its way to make that as difficult as possible. This would be a 5-star app if they could make the purchasing process much simpler.
Cant use arrow keys on keyboards to move panels
apparently it's a user error but i am still unable to use them with any IOS or bluetooth keyboard. my app is updated.
Awesome app
I love this app
Poor response
Still hasn’t gotten back to me ab canceling my payment for a “free” trail and hasn’t responded to how I cancel my subscription
No Image? No Sub
Most of the reason I got the subscription was because of the Image Comics catalogue, not quite worth the price without. Great App though
Not good, Customer Service
I’m trying to leave a review on this app. It won’t let you. I’ve been a member for months On gold membership, the titles of say clearly above it free with gold membership won’t let me read them. I’ve got paid for them. Why is this? I try to speak to someone to contact someone feedback with someone if there’s no there’s no way to do Please do better
I’m not mad I’m just disappointed
Ok I know you have to make money off of the things you make that is what we all do but with this I’m just disappointed because almost everything is money or a subscription even with ones that don’t even show it on the front(which it does usually show if it’s subscription or money)but the only free one that I could’ve read (which didn’t) was an ai book and yes I know that you try to make money but for there to be books there that are free that you can read that are only ai slop? I say this with all do respect I’m not mad or attacking the creators of this but I’m just disappointed that nothing really came out of it in the end.
Gold membership is useless
I love the app, but there’s no point to having gold membership anymore. I was reading watchmen but now i can’t because it’s behind a paywall now.
Price
It keeps trying to force upgrade to the gold version and everything I tried to read was 9.99
Love it!
Love the comic range it has DC, Marvel, Star Wars but in the manga department it is lacking the mainstream manga.
It won’t let you read anything
Bro I came to read my first spider man comic and I have to pay for it I just want to read my first comic and they make me pay to make it come true man forget this
Notification of new issues?
Pretty good service, I got a year upfront. I like having IDW day and date as well. How I can I easily see in my library new available issues of series I’ve been reading? Tracking down new issues is harder than feels like it should be.
Really really good app but…
The app is really well made, you have access to a basically unlimited amount of comics, but I would like to see the addition of the ability to buy comics that’s free with gold so I’m able to just own it permanently instead of having to use a subscription.
overpriced
seems like some paid comics/manga cost more than what you could get on apple books, even with a subscription. it's probably a fine service for the comics you get with the subscription, but it seems scummy that it makes it seem like you're getting a discount when you buy with a subscription when really you're paying extra
limited
i’ve been enjoying this app solely for the invincible series and a little of hellblazer. My main issue, however, has to do with the inconsistency in the invincible universe (mainly complaining about tech hacker) so reading it i feel like will be more of a drag for me since i like to intake as much lore as possible..
Okay
It’s an alright app. Lots of stuff to read and if you pay, lots more. I gave it a two star for having an option for opting out of AI content but it still shows you AI content. And the developer obviously hasn’t read a comic on this app as the panning feature is bad, you get locked on the x/y axis constantly while trying to move the page around.
What happened to oni press and tons of comix on gold
I noticed certain publishers like oni press and a few others show up but have no comics. It’s disheartening when several of your promised big publishers say they have comics but none show up. I love this app but I feel like I’m being lied to when you have certain publishers posted but no comics books from them. Whether this is a licensing issue or what I don’t know but please fix this soon.
Great love it
I love it and the free book with marvel Monday’s I just wish they had a dc day other than that 5 stars
Subscription
For some reason the site won’t let me buy a subscription or buy the comics so I can’t read anything
Would of been 5 stars
I don’t need asking if I want to turn notifications on all the time. Once I’ve clicked no that should be it
Painful to use
Charge 100$ for the year. Why is it every time I open the app I have to find the page I was on again. “Currently reading” doesn’t mean anything. I start on page one every time I use this app. Makes it impossible to read anything briefly, as I spend 5 mins flipping pages. For 100$, that’s horrible.
Don’t like the monthly subscription
The monthly subscription should be a little less
ITS THE BEST
Its underrated
Gold subscription
You CANNOT read mangas with the subscription. You only get access to first volume and you have to pay $8-10 for each of the remaining books. In this case you should just goto amazon or crunchyroll to buy the actual books.
Great app but…
I love the app. But I got about 50 pages into a comic and it said I have to pay. Other than that it’s a fire app. But I’m wondering do you have to pay for every comic or just certain ones???
Payment
Just so you know before downloading you pay for the comics it isn’t free but the ui is nice
I just don't know why?
Subscribing to the Gold Membership should completely remove the "collection only" thing, and I don't understand why it doesn't. Sure, it gives you a discount, but it's only one dollar off. For example, I want to read the original Shaman King manga. The gold membership gives you everything from Volumes 1 to 17. That's a decent length of content, and that's good. However, volumes 18 and onward are the final act of the series. 18 is when the Shaman Fight officially begins for crying out loud! We're not even in the patch village at this point and I can't read any more without paying 11 bucks PER VOLUME? That's absolutely ridiculous.
Review
Makes comics easier to read
Terrible
This app is terrible due to the part where you have to PAY TO READ.
Really good but one issue
It’s actually really good and got me into some really good comics but sometimes it can say you have to pay like 100+ pages in so just check for that but other than that 10/10
Make this app to not have any in-app purchases
Remove the subscription and any in-app purchases, so that I can read the Invincible comics and The Boys comics for free.
Too many notifications and can’t find where to limit them in the app
It’s a great app and website but they’ve been pushing ads lately through notifications and I can’t find where to turn them off.
Invincible
Accurate and Great reading experience!!!
huge rip off
for a $70 yearly membership i should not have to pay to read decade old comics just because they're popular, much less pay full retail price as a physical copy. disgraceful
Brilliant app, except for 1 thing
I would give 5 star if only the app had the facility to down load comics to the device, similar to Netflix/Prime. I use on iPad mainly for comics & books. To be able to use it away from Wi-Fi I either have to add credit to a sim or hotspot to my phone
Barely free
You can read a lot of comics before you hit the paywall so use it if your’e not sure you want to buy a comic or not. It also doesn’t have marvel or dc so keep that in mind.
Comic drops
Before they made you pay for these dc comics you didn’t have to pay if you had the subscription which I liked cause I can read comics without worrying about buying but know they added more stuff you can barely get to read cause you gotta pay for the rest what is the reason for a subscription than if imma have to wait a month or so for y’all to release one series for free I don’t understand
