Renting not buying
When you “buy” a title it can only be viewed in app. This is renting not buying as other apps have yanked rights to titles. If you don’t actually own anything you’re just throwing money away. And they are using ai. Gross.

I liked the app until I found out I was only able to read 100 chapters before it limits u every 12 hours to read more and that’s AFTER u pay for the subscription. There’s not even an option to bypass it and pay more…

Good Variety, Bad Functionality
Good stuff: title variety is much more diverse than alternatives like shueisha’s manga plus. Subscription is quite cheap, too! Bad stuff: you need a subscription to read anything past the first three chapters, no free first viewing like shueisha. Even when you do sign up, what you can read is rate-limited to 100 chapters every 24 hours, across all series - so you’d better like what you click on, or else you’ve wasted your quota! Chapter loading is also slightly buggy, requiring a full reload if any pages fail to download, rather than retrying each page.

I’m an adult, I pay for my comics. You have an app specifically to deliver said comics to me. Let me flick a little toggle in settings that say “Yes I’m an adult and would like all the content I’m paying for.” I don’t appreciate having to read mature comics exclusively through my web browser. How are you really going to tell me I paid just to get told “Piss off if you wanna read Dorodohedoro.”?

I recently downloaded Viz after having Shonen Jump for over 2 years now and I wanted to expand my pallet a bit when it comes to manga. The reason I have my rating where it’s at isn’t because of the lineup but rather because every time I try to make the subscription it just says an error has occurred. Am I doing something wrong?

Got to chapter 24 and then was blocked by a paywall. Cancelled the subscription just as fast as I signed up for it.
The best deal you can find in comics
100 chapters a day for half the price of a cup of coffee per month is just out of this world.

I’m a subscriber, love some underated classic like the wolf girl and cosmos, now I’m considering use it for one month before canceling, some of my favorite are missing chapters, a lot series actually. If after this month it’s not fix, ill just delete the app

The inventory of manga is severely lacking
The first red flag is that they don’t have genre categorization. That just screams there isn’t much there but also, what they do have are at least 20 years old or older. We are 2024 not 2004. You could do better viz.
