Editing my review: No issues in a while
I gave this app a mid rating because they choose to drop almost all of their new chapters on 2 days, Sundays & Wednesdays, but couldn’t handle the traffic. It was frustrating for a month or two, but it’s been a significant amount of time since I’ve had to wait until Monday to read the Sunday drops, due to the apps inability to work. They also added a new interface a couple months ago that makes it way easier to find new releases. If I could change two things, which are minor, it would be to have the app take you to the series page when you click on it, instead of opening the most recent chapter. It can cause some confusion when you’re diving into a currently running series, in terms of keeping up with which chapters you actually read and did not read. And lastly, instead of keeping a small, minuscule amount of exclusives on SJ, just add One Punch Man & Dark Gathering. And the bangers y’all are hiding behind the Viz app paywall. Snowball Earth, Cosmos, Magical Girl, Dandelion, Mao, Tokyo Fears Rapsody, all of em; just put them on Manga Plus, already. Other than those tiny critiques, this is the best manga app on the market, I recommend it to everyone.

You can barley read anything for free. 3 short ahh chapters, and some pocket lint. the adds OML, ifnyou want some free manga pick anything but this.

Iphone and ipad usernames don't link
I have a subscription. On my iphone and saved manga history, when I installed the ipad app the subscription was retained but the ipad version does not retain my username and thus does not link to my iphone app versions favorites and history. It would be a major improvement to link the two so that I can read cross platform and retain the last place in a manga that I left off.
I’m hurt
Was reading Hima-ten, it was FREE, enjoying it at 8 am on chapter 72. Then, I clicked onto the next chapter. “Invalid license” What the hell happened? So I checked the chapters, absolute horror as I saw the rest of the chapters were now deluxe. It was just free right? I guess not anymore. Never threw my phone so hard at a wall. Great app tho.
Awful user experience for a paid service
Fine for reading manga legally, but lacks a lot of basic features… For example, there is no option to resume reading. You have to find the chapter every time and it always goes back to the first page.
Needs improvement, but has potential
App has got a lot of potential if they keep the decent price, plus adding download option for offline access, also I couldn’t go back from where I stopped a few times and that was frustrating. Skipping the subscription for now.

Pretty good
It’s fine it’s just I hate how you can only read 3 chapters on the one you really want to read and if your wanting to pay then that’s on that person but I very much dislike the “updates” on the thing but some things you can read it’s just rarely and you can only read it once
Good, But Frustrating
Been using this app pretty much since Day 1, the breadth of manga is very good, especially considering it’s free (the paid membership is cheap too). But it has a massive flaw. For some reason, at an unknown point, the app will suddenly spike its resource usage, maxing out CPU and RAM for no discernible reason. You’ll be in the middle of reading something and the whole thing freezes up and you have to wait, minimise the app and wait, or just close it. I’m hoping this is an unintentional bug but app support is pretty much zero so can’t ask the developer.
Fair amount of content - doesn’t work on Sundays after 4pm.
As it says, subscription is a fair price for the amount of content you get, the app doesn’t work on Sundays properly at the moment due to too many viewers I think. Just happens that when One Piece and other popular manga drop at 4pm GMT nothing on the app works.

Doesn’t load
Love the app, but images just aren’t loading anymore. In last week or so, every time i open a new chapter it’s just a black page and nothing loads. I’m on wifi with 2 gb download (and every other app loads fine). It sucks because this is the best manga app for official translations, but it’s just not working now.

I recognize why this app has ads, but while I’ve read recently suddenly a video will show and it’s an intuit creditkarma ad. When that happens it interrupts the reading experience and at the end of the chapter I can’t open up the comments

Downhill
I didn’t have issues with this app until recently where unprompted and out of nowhere, the app will play ads in the background while viewing manga. I panicked and closed the app not knowing what was going on and when I opened it back up I lost access to my read once chapter I was invested in. So it feels right to rate the app a 1 star. I’d rate it a 0 if I could.
fixing glitches
it’s a recommended u can read it for free butttt some chapters have blank pages and some have the whole story blank so pls fix this bug but still it’s really a good app
Slow
I’ve got decent internet so I know it’s not a problem on my end. Chapters would load a couple pages then stop. Can’t even refresh to make them load.
lo-res scans
I don’t know if this is a widespread issue across the industry or not but the scans are pretty low-res. for context i’m on an iphone 16 plus, which is a so a pretty big phone but still. if i zoom in for details at all things get blurry real fast, so i can’t imagine what it’s like on an ipad. it’s honestly really disappointing. otherwise the free tier is pretty great. even though you can’t re-read chapters, having access to everything is worth it and the only ads you see are pictures that come at the end of chapters and you can quickly breeze past them which is fantastic!
Great I guess
The app is very good and nothing is wrong with it but there’s some anime that I didn’t find like attack on titan and etc but it’s really good, deserves 5 stars.
Not worth it
Don’t even know why they have the Standard plan, all you get is a few ongoing series. The moment a series is marked complete, it can only be accessed by the Deluxe plan.
Chapters
I do like the free chapters and updates although I don’t like that u can only read them once,such as I was reading chainsaw man I swapped out of the chapter to screenshot a panel to send to a friend and couldn’t go and read that next chapter But over all a good app
Needs a lot of improvement
Always slow, occasional odd panels due to properly load pages in app. It is okay for an official free manga reading app. But it needs a lot of work aside from this. They need to allow for actual accounts to be made in order to have true cross platform compatibility. I like to read on my Boox but I have to look for everything manually because there’s no account to keep track of all of my reading progress between my iPhone and tablet. I feel like having that option would get them more people who also switch between devices to subscribe, if in-app subscriptions were tied to accounts, then cross platform compatibility would be even better. Please consider this.
Love it but…
This app is great when it works! It has a huge catalogue that gets updated daily and it has a decent reader but the reader keeps giving me issues! Right in the middle of chapters it will not load some pages and the issue gets worse if you use the app for a while! I also don’t like that there’s no sign in option that’s a little odd. I hope that they’re able to resolve these issues soon because this app is really good when it works! Especially if you’re trying to take a break from doomscrolling on social media this is a good alternative!

This app broadens my horizons for new and popular manga for a decent price per month. I use currently manga plus and viz manga for my 2 manga sources. I found new titles and more stories which catch my eye, my top 3 currently are: 1. Hero organization 2. Drama queen 3. Delinquent gacha There is a few manga for everyone’s taste
Fix the issue
It doesn’t even let me go further after the “Browse and pick from our popular manga titles!” screen And it just slows down my phone.

The app crashed when I was on chapter 1158 of one piece and I had to make an alt account just to finish the chapter
Very Slow
This app is a big step behind the Shonen jump app which loads pages extremely quickly. This app is in great need of page loading optimizations as some pages never load. It’s unfortunate as a paid service that you can’t rely on the content
Better Resolutions
I’d like a better resolution. I’ve noticed certain languages like France have better resolutions than others. Looks HQ, so crisp and clean. Having the option to download chapters for offline reading would be great also. On the app, it also seems like I can’t save my account. I have to create a new user every time I get a new phone.

After Naruto, bleach, gjntama, my hero academia, jujutsu kaisen etc ended the app is lowkey dry one piece is fine but it’s usually on a break every couple of weeks and the other titles are just boring I think after one piece ends this app will die, I myself haven’t used this much after jujutsu kaisen and my hero academia ended no point
Good app
Good app. Gives options for reading left to right or right to left. Comics are easy to read. 3 stars due to same issue as previous review. Can only read each chapter free once so no good when the chapter won’t load then you can’t go back on to it. Also had one where a random issue close to the end of dandadan wasn’t free but if never clicked on it. Had to read on another site so I could continue If paying customer it will be a great app because chapters can be read as often as you like.

So good it feels like stealing, but…
The content issue that people have been talking about is nonexistent now. There’s so much here, stuff found in shonen jump and so much extra. That we get to read it first time for FREE feels like stealing but for some reason the app seems to drain my battery really fast. My phone gets hot and everything. Confusing considering that it’s just a comic app, but it’s still fantastic all round.
For whatever reason
The app is unresponsive lately. I don’t know why because in theory it shouldn’t be too much strain on my device but right now it’s incredibly slow and won’t even load the page I want to read. I would really recommend it.

So yea basically the creator just has to add more manga. BUT, an annoying issue I find when using this app is on nearly every single manga you have to pay to read past like chapter 3 or 4. I’d really like it if the creator of this app let people read the manga once, like on some manga you can read all the chapters but the ones past chapter 3 or 4 you can only read them once. Beat my expectations
This app immediately beat my expectations! I have been wanting to find a cheap way of reading the Demon Slayer manga FOREVER. So, I finally did something smart. I asked ChatGPT, “Give me a link to where I can read Demon Slayer mangas free full online” and in response it showed me this app. When I got it; it said free but I couldn’t read the mangas I wanted without buying a subscription… but the subscriptions are SO CHEAP and still AMAZING BENEFITS. Because of this amazing app I got to read EVERY DEMON SLAYER MANGA! AND IT WAS AMAZING QUALITY! I fully recommend this app to anyone who is fine with paying ONLY 4.99$ a month for an extremely benefitting subscription.
Bad UI, extremely Slow
The developers of the app have tried many changes over the years to improve the UI, but it’s never been good. 1. You can never tell what manga in your library have new chapters, forcing you to look at them and scroll to the bottom. 2. The new highlights page is a bloated mess, it’s so difficult to look through especially as it only shows one day’s updates at a time. 3. Changing languages you need to press a little button in the corner rather than the big prominant button at the bottom 4. It doesn’t save age or language preferences 5. Each opened chapter is it’s own “window”, meaning you’ll need to close several to truly exit. 6. The app won’t save your position in a chapter. 7. If you turn off your device and come back later it won’t allow you to reload, you have to exit the chapter then go back in. Also the app has gotten so slow at loading chapters lately that I have to leave it open for a few minutes to avoid blank pages (it often doesn’t load the last page.) All of these issues should be updated to male the app usuable

Pretty poor app, often fails to load and then claims you’ve already read the chapter, and since that means you cannot read all chapters here, might as well don't bother with it.
A bit annoying that I can’t make an account
I started reading on my iPhone and wanted to switch on my iPad not realising I wouldn’t be able to access my shelf or my progress on what volume I’m on because there’s no actual option to login even tho u can create a username. Annoying.
