Great App for Marvel fans.
Abundance of Marvel comic books fans to read.
Garbage interface
I have to close the app over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again since I can’t get out of reader mode. The remove from continue reading doesn’t work. I’m paying for a subscription I don’t use because every time I give it another chance I just want to smash my iPad. Here’s an idea, fix the stupid app.
Love it, 1 minor issue
I was debating the best way to read the Marvel comics, it gets very expensive over time. I found this app through instagram, and it peaked my interest. I downloaded the app and was pleasantly surprised by the layout. It’s like most of the streaming services out there; continue reading, suggestions for you based on your interests, etc. What I really liked is the “events” option where it lays out all the comics leading up to a specific event. You can also add events or individual comics to a reading list where it saves the list to be read another time. It also has a downloads option to save the comics offline for when you have no internet connection. Only issue I have is sometimes when you try to get out of the comic, when I tap the screen to close it out it seems to want to change to the next page until you tap the screen in just the right spot, if this was fixed it would get 5 stars from me for sure!
Trashy asf
I downloaded expecting to get all the comics, but when I click on certain issues, unable to read, why am I wasting my money?
It's alright
Literally, I can never find the comics I'm looking for. I literally have put the title, issue number, year, and writer of the comics, and it doesn't show up. Other than that, it's pretty decent.
Worth it for anyone trying to into comics
This app is well worth it if you want to get into comics. If you're unsure, try the 7-day free trial.
Fake free trial
I was offered a 7-day free trial. They IMMEDIATELY charged me. Your comics are garbage.
Some of the comics just won’t load
I’m glad something like this exists. I really am, but I’m really disappointed also because I really wanna read stuff like “All New Guardians of the Galaxy Issue 1” but for some reason, it just won’t load because of some sort of error however, when the comics do load, I tend to enjoy what I read if they fix the other comics that I really wanna check out I’ll probably like this that much more
Extremely Buggy & Unorganized
Good luck. when it works properly, it's amazing. Otherwise, you'll find your uninstalling and reinstalling it every other day. or get stuck in a loop requiring you to change your password after you've already changed your password. Which you inputted correctly the first time.
Fantastic idea, terrible UX
Great to have the back catalogue available. I think the price makes sense. I wish the delay from publishing was less than 6 months (the guys at the other place have only a 1 month delay). But where I am really frustrated is it Feels like this app could be greatly improved with some relatively simple UX changes. For example: To add/ delete comics to my library or downloads I need to click into each comic and perform the action individually. Multi-selection on apps is pretty much standard so not sure why this is still the case here. Not helped by having a menu button that if you miss by a few millimetres it opens the book instead of giving you the action list. Some bugs mean that certain books refuse to be removed from my current reading list… guess they are just there forever now..!? The reading guide idea is a good one but needs to be significantly extended (eg full Krakoa reading list).
Infernal Hulk
One of the greatest hulk runs of all time.. comparable to World War Hulk…
Needs PC App
Need a pc app or desktop view that works properly
App is great could use some work
I wish there was some way to log inside the app like you do in the league of comic geeks and also outside of the app it is really hard to use the subscription it could also benefit from comprehensive reading guides
Ok for what it is
It’s ok for its purpose which is reaching comics but it’s uncomfortable to read in, I don’t like the app layout, the search bar is kinda useless. I wish it had more options to lay the comics so they can be easier to use for everyone’s preferences. Like I hate that I need to be in portrait mode/vertical in my iPad to be able to see the whole page, I wish I could see in portrait/horizontal position of the iPad the whole page +another page like in any other reading app or actual book.
Why man
Ima say one thing: please make it free
Free Comics
I’m giving it 5 stars just because I love marvel so much, but it would be nice if you could even just browse the app or have rotating free titles and not lock the entire app behind a subscription
Disappointing
I really wanted to try this, but I don’t want to give you all my payment information BEFORE I get the trial. That’s predatory and bad customer service. If you would allow people to see what you’re offering before they give you their payment information you will get a lot more subscribers. I’m very well aware that it can be cancelled but it’s a sad business practice to hope people forget to cancel, and by then you have all my data to hit me with advertising or sell to 3rd parties. Bad.
ONLY BUY IF YOU READ COMICS A LOT
I love the app and the access to as many comic books as I could ever want to read, the only problem is it’s pretty easy to forget about and then you end up paying for a subscription that you aren’t using
Full of bugs
As a developer myself it angers me to see how an app like this which is so full of bugs ever made it out of production. Who tested this app? The app randomly logs you out every few weeks. it looses track of comics you are following. The “keep reading” feature keeps show comics you have already read and doesn’t show the next comic. The touch point of the option button on the comic lists is off so you can never click it without tying 20 times. Honestly, this app could be great, but it is terrible. Sack your dev team, or get them to fix the damn bugs.
Great collection but wish subscription was cheaper
Great collection but wish subscription was cheaper
Best
I love reading marvel comics because superhero comics are so hard to find and I don’t know how to explain it but I love reading comics and comics and comics and comics and I really enjoy them
Access Restricted
The latest update has left me unable to access the app, saying: “Your access to this app is currently restricted. A parent or guardian may need to verify your age via their App Store account.” I’m 45 years old and have already verified my age with Apple. No other app is doing this.
Fun to have
Ive been wanting to read comics for awhile and this is a great way to get any series you want
ui is horrible
Just get dcui instead. Better quality comics as well.
Great but missing critical features
The app is excellent for reading comics regardless of device size. However, the inability to download an entire series/select multiple and download makes it very difficult to organize all the comics you’d like to read in one go. The same issue exists for deleting, we should be able to select multiple/delete all from a series/delete all downloads in general. Adding these features would make this app a 5/5.
Marvel answers to… DOOM
Good stuff thanks Stan and Jack
Steals money
I canceled my subscription around 3 months ago and they have still charged me every time when you try to click customer support or manage subscription nothing happens and sometimes it takes you to a site that’s untrusted by apple because it’s a financial risk
Good but expensive
It’s really good but if you don’t read lots of comics it’s not worth £10 a month
Downloads don’t work
Whenever I download comics I try to read them but to my surprise I get a loading screen saying I do not have wifi. This is annoying when you download many comics for a 10 hours plane flight…
Pretty neat
Yeah
Came Back after a Few Years…
…and it has realized it’s true potential while I was gone!
THERES NOTHING FREE
BRO WHAT U GOTTA MAKE ATLEAST SOMETHING FREE I AINT PAYING FOR THIS BRO
Bulk download
I like it but no bulk download and bulk delete putting me off this, I have no time to do it one by one
Its hard to pay
Usually brands make it hard to cancel, the make it hard to PAY. Its so confusing. Also where Do I enter my coupon code?
Fine, when it works.
The service has lots of older comics as well as the more recent stuff. I also seem to get loading errors every time I want to read anything. I think I’ll stick with the library’s digital collections/print trades and buying physical copies. There’s also stuff that goes out of copyright that I read from other publishers (ex Dynamite’s Marvel Red Sonja), Atlas, and the Marvel MAX line.
Technical difficulties
The app is great but for some reason I can’t get into it because it keeps freezing on me. Not sure if it’s a system issue or if it’s my phone/iPad.
Took my money
Was meant to be a free trial but took my money immediately
Good
The content is great but the UI is a little clunky
data loss
ALL my data is GONE. I take a break from the app for like 2 days and come back to all my saved comics gone, everything in my “continue reading” section is gone. it’s actually infuriating and i don’t know what to do to get it back. This is the third time in one month this has happened to me
Serious Issue
Love the app so much but a lot of titles won’t appear in the app but say they are there on the website, Eg Maul black white and red and also Jango Fett 2024 only has one comic but it has a whole series on the website
Good for beginners
If you want to start getting into marvel comics buy this app it’s not that bad for 10 dollars a month
greedy greedy disney
literally every other major comic publisher allows you into their service without subscribing, and has comics available to read for free, this app is the ONE TIME, i’ve ever been locked out until i forked over money.
Sarah
Great app, has loads of comic books on, even some old school one. You can enjoy all different one’ like Star Wars and then Spider Man.
Functional
Does what it says on the tin, but it’s missing a lot of additional functionality and is surprising buggy in my experience. As far as options go, you can’t create personal groups or lists of issues or series, which is especially frustrating as there are many events with no reading guide on the service (e.g. Blood Ties). Most of the bugs I’ve encountered have been regarding the “continue reading” section, mostly with removing issues. Overall, decent app, but lacking in the polish I would expect and hope for.
Too long between new releases
The app is generally fine but there is so much time between comic releases. I have to wait months for new releases when I pay for this subscription! At least add a thing on series page that tells you what date the next issue is being added to the app!
Goated
The smart panel feature has to be one of the best features ever created for comics, I feel more immersed in the story and I always had trouble trying to figure out where to read first or not to look at the end of the page because it just feels like a spoiler when I look down. Anyways it’s a goated app.
26/9/25
Latest update screwed my library, now showing loading error Via search issues, I’ve attempted to remove from my download and my library and re add/re download via the 3 dots to `reset’ but a lot of the issues wont even come up with the drop down list, just a small hesitation then nothing Gonna hold off reading until next update I guess…
Good but frustrating
I love what the app offers, being able to access so many comics is fantastic but the app itself is frustratingly glitchy. Sometimes menus don’t work properly and the layouts and links to particular series’s could be much better. Most annoyingly I am often told to (re)subscribe when I open the app, I click to say I am a a subscriber the app says they’re is no record of me, so then I click subscribe and it says I already have a subscription.. then another error message pops up to say that I need to subscribe!
Meh
The only thing good about this app is the price and the back issues. It runs terribly. Continuously refusing to open content, freezing and just generally being mediocre. It’s too bad the creators don’t care enough about the app to make it run correctly.
Why isn’t it working?
Marvel unlimited is a truly great app. It has all of my favourite comics from the civil war run to the Matt fraction Hawkeye series.. There just one problem. I can’t login anymore. I put in my email and password but the app is saying that it’s wrong. I then put in forgot password and then the app sent me a code. The only problem is that the code didn’t send and I didn’t get it. I don’t know if it’s something wrong with my email or the app. But please marvel fix this problem as I have paid for it and I want to get back to reading your great comics.
