Easy and Classy Combined
Punchbowl is such a great tool. Once you upgrade to the premium service, it’s great to use for every and anything. It’s a fantastic app with wonderful options and I’m so glad we have it.
Contacts
Does not allow me to re add
Great Greeting Card App!!!
Punchbowl is uber-versatile & provides a simple, thoroughly sophisticated means of creating catchy, original cards & invitations with an excellent system for tracking responses & listing and using contacts.
Not user-friendly
I cannot add people from my contacts and it keeps saying that the number is unsubscribed when the numbers are subscribed it’s very frustrating because now I have to manually input but even then I’m blocked from doing that so I just sent a link out to everyone
Just the card
It will not allow me to attach a gift card. It keeps declining all my payment methods.
Great app!
We’ve used this for multiple birthday parties and it’s so easy and versatile. We really like it! Highly recommend!

Not as functional as it used to be
Loved it but this time took several attempts. I had to send some invites normally but the others I had to individually manually send one by one by copy and pasting. Why doesn’t it hook up anymore to contacts that have never been invited via punchbowl?
Needs work
I started with my invitations in this app so it is easier to keep using it. But I wish it was more user friendly. I would like an option to add people without having to have an email or phone number. You can do this on the website but that is annoying. I also would like to be able to mark people as a maybe (as a host - not necessarily that people can RSVP as such) and then have those that have not responded to be labeled as such. Having both groups of people under “undecided” does not actually help me plan as there are people that may be able to attend but are not sure yet but then those who have not opened the invitation are different. I miss the older days where it was not as pricey too.
Excellent
Best cards app
Not User Friendly
Editing is difficult, cards are equivalent to what you’d find at a dollar store. It is hard to find specific cards and the search feature only provides a couple cards relevant to the prompt given. In order to attach a gift card a Zip code is required, I live in Canada and have a postal code not a zip code so I cannot use this feature.
Great App
Enjoying this app!
US flag on envelope
Easy to make my invitation and was happy with the overall result. I could not use the invitation though because once I previewed it I saw that there is a USA stamp on the envelope. This would not have gone over well with my guests.
Good but needs to fix bugs
The app version has some bugs that make it difficult, even after I have paid for the subscription. Any time I go into the invite on my phone app it automatically messes up the invite formatting and I have to fix it again on my laptop. Makes it so that I can’t even use the app on my phone without messing up the whole invite again. Because of this I would say it’s not worth the money on the subscription fee. Otherwise I like how I can add all my guests, track responses, add my registry, etc. It even allows me to have multiple events/ invites at once.
Best for any event your having
Ten stars
It has ads which is so annoying plus I am not able to upgrade
It has ads which is so annoying plus I am not able to upgrade
Great to have
Easy to use, but editing tools not always consistent on different devices. It’s great to have many choices and occasions to choose from, and that they keep for you what you sent so you don’t send the same design to the same person next time.
Delivery
Having a lot of trouble when sending additional recipients. Often have to start from scratch😥
Great cards but…we should really be able to edit the envelopes!!

The 16th birthday celebration
It’s the template we’re looking for. App is easy to use. Love it!
Don’t introduce your data
It says it’s free and ask you to personalise the card, you have to put your name, phone number and email address , even picture . When is about to finish you have to register. I didn’t submit or went forward or subscribe and now I receive emails from them. A sneaky way to get your info
Great but….
Contacts area glitches a little
Only supports Canada and US for SMS
Giving it 2 stars bec they failed to mention that they dont support other countries for the SMS functionality. I would not have purchased subscription if I had known.
Subscription
Sucks that you need a subscription to do anything worthwhile!! We’ll see if it’s easy to unsubscribe…
Punchbowl
Excellent way to send invites! Easy to create a beautiful invite
Beware
This app follows your every move do NOT download bombarded with emails
Excellent card app
Works well, not perfect, but near perfect.
Disappointing
As I was having a large afternoon tea, I sent out 35 invites, but around 1/2 said that they didn’t receive. I had to send numerous times individually before most received, but not all. And yes their email addresses were correct. Very disappointing, considering that amount of money that I paid for it. Wendy
It’s ok . . .
But you can not get all the good cards unless you pay. It is useful for sending some digital cards.
Great invitation software
This app is quite easy to use & simple place to keep track of attendance & sends out a reminder ❤️
Terrible experience
Hi signed up for this app a couple of weeks ago and love the cards and the designs. They trap you into getting a membership to avoid the insane amount of ads. I signed up immediately in order to have a better and seamless experience however after being charged for the entire year the app still contained the same amount of ads. I also never received a receipt for the payment and contacted customer service twice about each issue individually. No answer! I am an app and subscription junky and have to admit this was the worst I have come across this far. Don’t waste your time and money! Look for alternative apps
Bug
Hi can you please fix the bug where when you go to message a guest the app gets stuck and there’s no way to exit the message screen. Maybe I’m blind but if there is an “X” option I can’t find it. I keep having to delete and redownload the app to go back to the menu
Recipient couldn’t receive it
My first e-card was a disaster. I wanted to send a get well card to a sick friend but it bounced back on his phone number with the message ‘undeliverable email or phone’. I then used his email address and got the same message. I gave up and deleted the app.
Not ideal if your not in the US
Good app similar to ones I’ve used before, but texts only work for US numbers, so less than ideal if your not in the US, now many people use email so much less.
Bad Support
Attempted emailing the support line for help and they just kept spamming me with the same solution instead of digging deeper and actually helping
Confused
No matter what we do we can’t seem to receive the invitations as a text message. It’s frustrating and the only fix is to buy a membership to get a link.
Good but will start exploring other platforms
Have used this app for years and loved it. Recently hit some snags that make the developers happy and force me to upgrade... or find another platform 🤷♀️ To invite more than 50 people, you have to pay. I found a way around that by sending link to people directly instead of them getting the app-generated invite. However... the link I sent to myself, and then copied to guests, was only for me, and so the 50+ private texts I sent out on my own, with the link, had a broken link. Found a way to fix that but it was a hassle. The people who got that link texted from me to them, don't get updates, see the gift registry, or potluck link, unless they RSVP. And they told me they can only RSVP if they ARE coming, but not if they're a maybe. So until they say yes, they can't see all the details, basically. They also don't receive text updates ("announcements") until they RSVP yes. Have to pay to co-host an event - for when it matters, it's inconvenient! Would be nice if there was a link to Google maps embedded. Guests complain about the ads at the bottom of the invite but 🤷♀️ $100 a year for a subscription is not worth it New add to frustrations: I cannot RSVP for new guests or automatically add new guests that are coming without sending them am invite. This is really stupid. And also every guest has to have an email or cell number but what abo it my gma who doesn't have either? I then have no way to add her. So now my records are inaccurate of how many people are actually coming. And I m having glitches adding cell #s and it says the number doesn't work but it does. Punchbowl is just having trouble with it, but no one else. Finding out a lot of these glitches when I'm relying on this app exclusively for an event with 100+ people. Unfortunately my guests are too :(
Not worth the subscription fee
Why do I have to pay to remove ads when I’m already paying a subscription fee? That’s a hidden cost that’s not apparent when you sign up. Not worth the subscription.
Usability
Punchbowl needs to catch-up with the mobile movement. One should be able to send the invite via text or WhatsApp. Why does an invitee need to have an email address?
Love it
Makes gatherings and sending care so much easier
Terrible
Doesn’t allow phone numbers from countries other than US - doesn’t have any messages or guidance to warn users of this .. That’s an hour of my time I’m not getting back !
Much beter than the alternative
Someone or two told me they use this- i) less nag ii) clear &concise design!
Videos won’t attach
This app was good the first couple of times I sent cards and attached a pre-recorded video. I paid for a membership. It has stopped working now and can’t attach any videos. Very disappointing.
Good start but....
.... Once the invite has been sent to your guests, you can't send any further messages to them, esp to remind the ones that's have not RSVPed. Could so with a function to do this please! As well as send messages to guests generally.
Obsessed
I absolutely love this app. It’s so fun between the cards and the invitations. I use this constantly.
Hard to use and expensive
I spent ages setting up an invitation, only to find that I couldn't edit the original information easily. I also lost the entire contact list I had put into the app when I cancelled an event, thinking this wouldn't affect the guest list. Ha! Finally, I discovered the app is NOT free. It sends out invitations that are full of dodgy looking advertisements, and it costs $30/month to remove them. The app is misleading about the cost, so I don't trust it, and I don't trust that I will be able to stop the subscription before the end of the first month. I'm going elsewhere.
Quick & easy
The app itself is very well designed. Invitation options are pretty/cute and easy to edit. Unfortunately the details page often removes line spaces from preview to save, so you have to change that often. Other than that, I love that you can use text or email to send invitations!
Improvements needed
Overall experience has been ok. The app allows you to track information well and has good record keeping. However it doesn’t allow me to enter phone numbers (although it is suppose to give you this option) and when accessing iphone contacts it doesn’t list the contacts in alphabetical order.
