- You must pay for a subscription
- Login is a complete nightmare
- App crashes or won't load
Smashup cards
These are so fun and easy to send and everybody loves them. My new favorite way to say happy birthday or some other special occasion!
Can’t select my Niece’s name
It’s stupid that you can only select names from a list of names instead of typing in the persons real name that isn’t listed. What a dumb way to do business.
Preference cards that have been discontinued
I love the app however I wish you all had the capability of bringing back certain special cards that loved!
Beware if you cancel
I canceled my membership and they kept billing me and taking money out of my account without me knowing for six months to almost a year afterwards Then when I go to someone to try to speak to anybody, it’s impossible to talk to a customer service
Great way to celebrate someone but needs more names
American Greetings Ecards are a great, inexpensive way to acknowledge an event and/or celebrate someone. However, I find the available names are limited. Please get a program that can accept any name for personalized cards.
Heavy user
I have used American greeting e-card for years. I am happy with the improvements that have been made and thank you very much. This is a great option for me to contact people on special occasions.
Awful Customer Service
I was supposed to have a 7 day free trial but charged immediately for an entire year. When I inquired i’m about to charge I was told that because I scheduled cards for a future date that I had to be charged. The issue is I did not send any cards for a future date. I used two free cards to be sent immediately during the first day of the free trial. I would not recommend for that reason unfortunately.
Handy option
This is a great way to let someone know I’m thinking about them. Fairly easy to browse and personalize cards.
Your cards have become harder and harder to personalize! And now your prices are going up?
No thank you!
Not enough funny cards used animals too much
I absolutely used to love American greetings. But there are not enough funny cards. People don’t always want something serious from Father’s Day. I mean you wanna do something funny for your dad tell him happy Father’s Day but I’d like to just send my dad a funny card. Because he’s that kind of guy I don’t always want to send him a heartfelt sympathy card. That’s what all these Father’s Day cards are this year for 2026. There are no funny cards.
Musical birthday cards
Could use more options
Forced membership
They force you to have a membership you can’t just buy a card.
Connect Contacts please!
Love the app!!! The only thing is that adding contacts manually is a pain! It should be easy to allow access to our contacts in our iPhone, even adding the option to import all or just the selected into the app. This would make for an extremely better experience! Please add this option! 🙏🙏🙏
Names
My grandsons name, Kaiden, isn’t here
Only half work correctly
Half of the cards work great. The other half have a talking narrator that spoils the card. Need to remove the narrator. I can see what is happening; so can the recipient.
Fun App
I have had a lot of fun sending e cards this week. Several family members have birthdays and my sister retired. I love the way you can personalize messages, especially the Smash Ups with celebrities.
Doesn’t work as advertised
Very disappointed with this app considering the cost of the subscription. There seems to be no coordination between the app on different devices. In fact it simply doesn’t work on my Mac despite meeting system requirements. Scheduled several Mother’s Day cards which were not sent. I want my money back. Maybe there competitors can do a better job.
Selecting name to show on card
You have to scroll through names to personalize the name on the card, why not program it so I can type in a name or at least the 1st letter of the name, a decent coder could do that easily and it would be a great improvement.
Not so easy to use app
It’s a bit laborious to view and pick a card. Takes several minutes to view the video cards. Several clicks and then slow loading. The most annoying part of my experience picking a card today is that under the birthday card category, I couldn’t tell several cards were for ‘aunt’ until I had done all the clicking and waiting in order to view each. (This was on the app). The cards should be sub categorized if they’re not general cards for all audience.
Love everything!
Really love your smashups the most! They are great for just about every occasion. Can you make it possible to have a way to write in unusual or uncommon names that aren’t on your lists please? Thanks!
Useless!!
Trying to login to my account is a complete nightmare. I have to change the password every time.
Probably won’t renew
The cards are very entertaining and creative, but I would like to see more new ones. I’m running out of fresh cards to send.
They need to get some new cards but working with the ones they had the AI keeps getting in the way
I couldn’t edit a card where I had written everything I wanted. But there was a period where I want an! And every time I tried to correct it, they kept one image who let AI write a card for me. That ticked me off and they need some new smashups.
Just great!
Have been using for over 5 years now and I can always find the perfect card. Would like more “Smash-ups” they are so fun to send!
Disappointed in app
I’ve been using American Greetings and I’ve had a account for many years. Once I open the app and started using it none of my contacts were saved. Major hassle .
Frustrated
I have been a Member for years suddenly I'm locked out, have to change password & try to log in every time. I wanted to talk to someone but nowhere is there contact info. I wanted to cancel I've been so upset.
Old School
Wish there were more choices
Love it!
Easy and fun!
Not working
Doesn’t work on iPhone or Ipad
Mash up card
Please up date you choose of names to include the names of “Jace” and “Canda” Thank you for your consideration.
Never new and barely enough anniversary cards
Almost every week there are new birthdate cards but I don’t use those. I send anniversary cards, get well cards, encouragement cards and the selection has barely changed or increased in several several months. They pop in the personalized cards for anniversaries but only let you choose one name. Which defies logic. For wedding anniversary cards there are always two people. It’s really frustrating. I won’t be renewing my subscription.
So easy
I love this app. Paper cards are expensive and usually get thrown out. I use this all the time and the recipients love them
Slow
Took two minutes to try to send it and I was not able to see a preview of the whole card.
Forget forgetfulness!
Who needs a perpetual calendar when I’ve got AG!
App needs much more work to be fault free!
The app needs a lot more work and tweaking. As a current and former member of AG, I know how AG should work on a laptop. In my case, seemingly being forced to use the app on my iPhone or iPad has not worked for me yet. Example: Last week, I sent an e-birthday card from my iPhone (from Australia to the US) and although I typed and tried to attach a personalized message, it would not let me attach it, so it went off without it! Why have an app that does not work? At best, the app is a work in slow progress.
Love the music
You have so many beautiful cards. The graphics fit the music and the message well.
