Outstanding streaming service
MUBI itself is an incredible resource and the app is excellent. It’s easy to use, I can find what I’m looking for easily most of the time. I wish they’d provide a “leaving soon” list, but I’m not deducting from my rating just for that. If you love film, get MUBI, basically.
Tech sucks
I’m not reviewing the movies. I’m reviewing the technology behind the movies. It really sucks because it is so difficult to use.
Miroirs no 3
Lovely film I did not want to end.
Streaming is a smooth experience
When you are used to the smooth streaming experience of Netflix then this will be a huge step down
Trouble downloading films
Love the streaming service but often struggle to download films. It seems to not let me leave the app for it to fully download, and often gets stuck once any wifi drops, and I have to delete and start again.
Love films, love MUBI
Always a great selection of films. Some you know, others you don’t know. Great range to suit all tastes.
Tricky trial
Very disappointed as sooo difficult to cancel a trial even after speaking with Customer Support
Download issue
Content is amazing. But I request the team to check the download option. I a m not able to download the movie even with a stable wifi connection
Bought by Private Equity firm
Unfortunately Sequoia Capital have invested majority cash in MUBI. The app has a terrible interface and clearly hasn’t been quality UX tested. RIP
Great film collection, terrible interface
Great film collection, terrible interface. Looks nice, but functionally rubbish to use. No categories, you just search for a film by name or pick one from the front page. Why not have categories like every other streaming service?
A cinephile’s dream
If your passion for, and interest in cinema is true, you need look nowhere else. Pure joy.
Free trial
Why give me a week free trial, I go to cancel you give me a month free I cancel and you only give me the week
good collection
this app has some nice movies that i enjoyed watching, thanks
Something wrong
I couldn’t download or stream any movie on either my iPad or iPhone and I deleted the app and reinstalled it I had plenty of room too for movies
Refus d’accès à un film
Pas moyen de regarder la fin de certains films entamés sur la plateforme, c’est frustrant de ne pas pouvoir le terminer
I will always be obsessed with mubi
It's just fascinating how mubi always surprises you with such good selection of films that will probably change your life for a better one
Not enough new content
Was really looking forward to a platform with well curated content. Disappointed.
Altyapı büyük sorun
Filmler iyi, altyapı çok kötü. Bir türlü iPad, cep telefonum ve bilgisayarımdan bağlanamıyorum. Her defasında yeni üyelik vermeye çalışıyor. Keyfini kaçırıyor, boşa zaman harcatıyor. Support ekibiniz de yardım edemedi
Interface is lousy
For a streamer that prides itself on groovy artfulness, the interface is flatly LOUSY! It should be far easier to navigate the catalogue via specific categories & options in distinct bite-sized pieces. Instead, it’s clunky and chunky, with no way to winnow down your interests or tastes, which is a big fat bummer. For instance, if I want to isolate only films in a specific language, no option for that. There should be thoughtful, detailed categories, such as: By black & white, by decade, by first time directors, etc etc. And even in the basic provided categories like say Documentaries, you have to read the whole catalogue—you can’t see those only about artists or philosophers or whatever. We already signed up for a whole year. It’s gonna be a long year.
Love the content, hate video quality
I absolutely love the content they provide but the quality of the video signal is terrible. They clearly don’t have the bandwidth to support all users. The movies become very difficult to watch.
Thank you for picking lovely movies for me
Thanks!!!

Must’ve app for Cinema Lovers.
Great collection of masterpieces from world cinema. Just missing optional languages and video player lags at times so needs to be updated.
poor quality
poor quality picture even though I have a high speed and using ethernet cable
Interesting
The film defies categorisation. Post apocalyptic? But this new world is perfect, none of the usual end of the world struggles. Held together by traditions and rituals this new reality has perfect food, decor, manners, everyone knows their place. I enjoyed the contrast of the interior home and the salt mine that protects them from whatever is outside. Must have been really enjoyable to design this world. I hate musicals but tbh the songs were bearable, they acted as an inner dialogue and backstory explanation. Not a fan of TS and her singing was quite painful but the rest did a nice job. It was hard to know if I enjoyed the film, all the characters are in a constant state of repressed angst to get along and keep the family together. But I was fascinated.
My favourite streaming service.
This is a fantastic service, rare & hard to find films, a refreshing selection of international productions, an excellent alternative to the blockbustering of Netflix or Paramount, nuanced & thoroughly entertaining content..
Awful app
Cannot believe how dreadful the MUBI app is. Not least because of constant sign in issues. But even then, after getting in, there seems no access to profile or lists or reviews etc. Rubbish.
A great app
The only shortcoming here is a lack of option to just see every movie conveniently.
Unfortunately too expensive
I like the content, but it’s just too spendy.
The subtitles are often incorrect - please fix this
The range of movies is good. However, the subtitles are often incorrect, e.g. paraphrased and not verbatim, removing curses, they removing repetitions that featured in the actual dialogue, and so on. It’s unacceptable that accessibility is such a low priority for a paid subscription service.
The best collection there is
Hands down the best value option there is for films. It’s easily the greatest collection of movies you are going to have access to and if you get a deal or pay for a year up front (I paid £60 for a whole year) you won’t regret it. For lovers of film it’s a must.
Good movies, terrible app
Downloads get stuck. A stuck download cannot be paused or removed. It stays stuck forever, taking up space on the phone.
Subtitles
I love this platform. But I want more Turkish subtitles please.
Deceptive
Most advertised films are not available
App Needs Upgrade
Just started my subscription but finding the app clunky with a lot to be desired. Would love the opportunity to search by genre and option to deep dive the archives but it feels like you get what you’re given on the curated lists unless you know exactly what you want to search for. On the other hand if I log in from a browser it feels much more user friendly with better searchability. I’d be less frustrated if the app worked more like the website.
Tremendous
!
Impossible to sign in
I would like to give a more complete review but signing in is not operational. I reset the password and get locked out. Extremely annoying.
THANK YOU FOR THE AWESOME MOVIES;
— so far so good; I’ve already fallen in love … so don’t go breakin’ my heart! lol 😂🖤
Meh
The app will not allow Streaming to the TV with Airplay.
What is this app
Amazing steaming service- I love what they offer. But the app is just poorly laid out and not user friendly in the slightest
Fantastic improvement on catalogue
MUBI is quickly becoming my favourite streaming service and a lot has improved with the catalogue of films since listening to user feedback. Previously, i think the catalogue had a strict focus on more niche indie films but they have really branched out with some independent classics, arthouse horror, and new MUBI releases have been of a high quality.
Maniacs
shouldn't have sold yourself to the devil gang. Now I see you desperately trying to keep me from ending my subscription. a real shame
I subscribed and paid for a full year. I am unable to download any film.
I subscribed and paid for a full year. I am unable to download any film. MUBI has no support. Just FAQs. I am cancelling my subscription.
Family Romance
For all the grown up children.
Great movies,Bad app
Download gets stuck. Once stuck, I can’t even delete the stuck download
Love Mubi
It’s just great cinema
Not worth £11.99
No decent films it’s a scam
Greatest repository of cinema, especially vintage Indian cinema.
No words for how great this app is - would be even better if we could purchase physical DVDs of these films forever/organise screenings in India’s metropolitans. One suggestion: Subscriptions are slightly confusing to navigate when there are offers running - could improve conversion rates if that is simplified.
Download is horrible
Mubi is good and all, but why is it taking me hpurs to download a movie. Pther plaforms take 5 mins to download, while here mubi took 5 ins to download 3%.
Needs better optimisation for reviews
Great app in general, fairly minimal and clean but also, too minimal in someways that it’s lacking important things ( for me at least ) such as the review system. If I watch something on the app it would be nice to be able to review it comfortably from the app. There are a few very popular film review apps and if mubi did a better job with implementation then I feel their ( this ) app could be even more successful.
