Amazing
This app is amazing. Best reading app ever ultra is so worth the money and it’s just great. But a lot of the time for me it’ll have trouble loading 1 random page and I’ll have too delete all tabs even if it’s the only one open for it to load so please work on that. Best reading app ever. horrible to choice if you do not buy it. ( get ultra!)
You can’t read anything
You used to be able to read a couple of comics here and there without a subscription but now basically everything needs premium even things from like 2014 and earlier. Not to mention I got a subscription for a year and it only counted for a couple months before I lost access to them completely, so I wouldn’t even risk buying a subscription since they might just take it away. Debatably worse they will change the tier of the book you’re currently reading so you will just lose access to it halfway through. I’m extremely disappointed to have to rate this as low as I did because I used to love this app.
Good app but a couple notes
They need to make it so for one, when you press on a dive back in comic it pops up with the issue description and option to look at the whole series. They also should make it so when you’re in the comic you have a quick option to select any issue within the series quickly. The search could also use a few improvements. I say this because I find it incredibly annoying when I want to go back to the previous issue, but instead of just quickly selecting it from the comic I have to go to the search bar, find the series again and find the issue I was on. Edit: Another note, they should make it so when on Ipad, the home bar fades away. It is a little distracting while reading comics for the home bar to be on the page.
Can’t subscribe… can’t read anything
Used to love this app but when it came time to resubscribe I get an error message “Product not found in App Store catalog” o.O *sigh* Back to good ol’ paper comix
Please Add Customizable Panel Backgrounds
This app would be perfect if it allowed users to choose the color of the space surrounding panels in panel by panel mode. I believe the current design adjusts the surrounding space to black or white based on the color around each panel on the page, but I’m sure I’m not the only one who finds it distracting when the background repeatedly switches from black to white and back again. I strongly prefer a consistent black background around the panels, as the bright white background can be uncomfortable for my eyes. For accessibility and user preference, please consider adding options for black or white backgrounds in panel by panel mode. Kindle offers a similar option for comics in its panel by panel Guided View, which makes for a much more comfortable reading experience. Adding this feature would make the app 5/5 stars for me.
TAP DON’T SWIPE
For everyone who has given this a poor review because of the swiping. It’s different from the Marvel App. You can double tap to do the smart reading, and just tap the right side of the screen for the next segment. Sometimes it’ll zoom out the page to showcase the art, but just TAP the right side of the screen again. Hope this helps.
Terrible Interface
This has a horrible interface for actually reading comics. It’s ok on a tablet and a nightmare on a phone. Why can’t it just be as intuitive as Kindle or Marvel Unlimited??
Page swipe
Overall the app is great. Great way to catch up on back issues that are hard to find. But the page/panel swiping is terrible. I have to swipe the screen 6-7 times before it goes to the next panel.
Not a lot of creeper
When I got this I thought I was gonna be able to read all the comics with my favourite character the creeper in them only to find out a whole bunch of his series are missing and the only ones there are the 1 issues of his million and the rest are the version where’s he’s in Paris and is a woman I don’t mind them but more variety was expected from something call dc universe INFINITE
Good but with one frustrating issue
The app offers an expansive and extensive library but free scrolling on the pages for iPhone have gotten worse update-by-update and I’ve been using the app for seven years now. If they rectify it it’s easily a 5 out of 5

Page swipe is so annoying on dc, it now won’t swipe unless you do it 7 to 8 times . Marvel app is seamless with swiping
Great app needs better offline mode
Gets every job done except offline mode - wish you could sort download library (everything’s organized totally randomly)
Doesn’t work with panel to panel
When I enable panel to panel, it becomes frustratingly inconsistent, trying to get to the next panel. It doesn’t let me swipe it for some reason. Instead, the only thing that seems to work sometimes is tapping on the edge of the comic panel to move it to the next one, but even that spotty at best. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling. I’ve tried restarting my phone. I’ve tried logging out and logging back in with no luck still the same issue. I’m not sure why this happens because it also does it on my iPad as well. Besides that issue, it’s a good app and I just end up using the web browser to avoid this problem altogether
deleted downloads
every other update deletes my downloaded comics and i have to download comics to read since this app just isn’t very good/fast with streaming the comics like other comic reading apps

This app has come a long way from when it started, so I’ve updated my review to five stars. Everything works perfectly now and I love it!
Missing Key Issues
This app is good if you want some of the more popular runs or to skim through a lot of different heroes. But it’s missing too many key issues to be a good app. Batman #49 introduces both Vicki Vale and Mad Hatter. And not available. If I can’t read expensive issues that i otherwise wouldn’t be able to read, what’s the appeal?

I’d love to get my son into DC, but the search function lacks options like age, content rating, or parental controls.
New update makes reading near impossible on iPad M1 Pro
My previous review was four stars for lack of arrow navigation. They finally added it, except either form of navigation now only works about half the time. It was buttery smooth before this update. I wish I could just read on my iPad on the web, but there’s just a constant banner telling me to use the broken app.
Decent
A very good app, especially for people that are getting into comics. That being said, you can no longer move the page while zoomed in, which has made the reading experience tedious

It’s only gotten better over the years, more stable, more usable, more user friendly. Definitely one of the best bang for your buck subs I’ve ever gotten. It made getting into comics that much easier - highly recommend! And check out your local comic book store!
Lacks a crucial feature that should be standard in 2026
WHY does this app not have dual-screen, landscape functionality for its comic reading? Its competition, such as ComiXology, has this in spades. It’s super annoying and absolutely ridiculous to still have this issue in 2026, especially when this app is sure to have plenty of readers via iPad OS. Pathetic.
Great Reader App
Great reader app with AB obviously awesome catalog, but the “continue reading” feature seems to lose my recents every so often. And some settings changes don’t always take (minor things like the home icon or certain reading preferences). But it’s definitely good for DC Infinite subscribers.
Downloading Doesn't Work
As someone who uses trains and planes a lot, meaning I often don't have internet, it's extremely frustrating that the download feature on DC Universe Infinite is so completely useless. Even comics that are marked as downloaded won't load when you try to open them, and then when you close them they'll reveal that they were still in the process of downloading. Then that download will just stop for no discernible reason. This is true across different generations of iPhone and iPad apps; it seems to be a fundamental issue across the app.
Good App, Lots of Content, Can’t Justify Price
My experience with the app has been really good. The comics are easy to read and there is a lot of content available. The app itself works pretty well across iPhone and iPad. Yet I’m going to hold off using it further as I just can’t justify the subscription price be it at the lower or higher tier. Over on the manga side for example, Shonen Jump and the Viz Media subscriptions cost like $6-$7 combined. You get a lot of manga and are getting new releases basically everyday. To get the most out of just this one comics app, you got to pay either around 7 or 15 a month or like 70ish or 120 for a year. That’s just an insane price compared to other services imo. While 120 a year for this would still be cheaper than outright buying comics, I genuinely feel this subscription service could be a lower price.
Amazing back catalogue almost perfect UI
Nearly perfect app. I would just recommend that they have a tab specifically for all ultra so you can just click and see all of the ultra releases of the last six months so you don’t have to search by title for something specific and scroll down to the newest one, you should be able to just press ultra and get all of the comics that they add by order other than that it’s perfect

Love this app but miss the feel of turning pages in a comic. Could yall add a page turn feature?
Panel view is too hard to read
I don't love the marvel app, but it's much better than this app. They at least do panel view properly so you can actually the read the story. Also, pinch to zoom doesn't work very well (marvel has the same problem). At first I thought it was my new iPad air m3, but it's not - pinch to zoom works fine on chrome and safari. Also, there's no way to see which comics were recently added - they have a section for recently added to ultra, but if you don't have ultra, that does you no good 👎
Useless
This app is complete garbage unless you pay. You can’t even read 40+ year old books without subscribing. Thanks for nothing. It’s fine if you want to pay out the tail to read a couple of uncollected books from the 80’s… but they should’ve been collected in their events/series long before now anyway.

When my app had a huge bug where I couldn’t do jack on it anymore, the customer service was not helpful at all. They kept telling me to do stuff I told them I couldn’t do. Besides that, amazing app. Needs new customer service.

Couldn’t find any free comics
i’m just a teenager that wants to read comics, i don’t know any lore on anything, this was a very cool concept for the app but i couldn’t find any comic that didnt require premium. maybe im missing something or there’s a special section of free comics i didn’t see but im very bummed
Please fix the movement of pages
I downloaded and subbed, and couldn't get into reading an issue enough. For the screen bouncing around so much in trying to pinch zoom in and out. It needs quality checks on this, bad. As trying to pinch zoom can cause the page to move instead of zooming in or out. Just ruining the immersion. This aspect of your service should be a high priority as without this users may feel perturbed to continue subscribing. Especially those that like to efficiently, power read until sated. Or when a story is engaging enough. This little quirk in design throws me off, from enjoying your content. There's also no quick way to progress to the next page, especially if zoomed in. As the user then needs to zoom completely out to be able to change the page. Which with the page moving around instead of zooming out it becomes too much a boorish chore. tyvm

Love DC UI but
I love all the updates, but I wanted to ask if you can make a feature where when you zoom in all you have to do is tap the left or right side of the screen. I would love to just tap to my next page and I think y’all had that feature before.
Disappointing downturn
The app no longer shows new releases for non-Ultra users and there’s no way to access downloaded comics online or offline.

Frustrating User Experience
The search option is worst than Microsoft Outlook. I search specific titles like “Batman: The Blind Cut” or “Absolute Wonder Woman” and it gives me some bizarre search results like Super Girl. The app is so frustrating that I’m contemplating finding pirate sites instead. Please fix this app and learn from the Shonen Jump and Kindle apps or else people will stop using this.
Good app. Bad search features.
It’s a good app. Pro: Huge selection. (However cross over specials you will not find here across publishers e.g. dc marvel mashups etc.) The biggest con is the search feature in the app. It really needs some serious work.

Great for all DC fans
The app has an extensive digital archive of comics from DC. There are some back issues that are missing though. DC probably has good reasons for this. I lost my own comics collection in a tragedy a few years back and it’s been great to reread some of those old adventures again on my IPad. I am actually impressed with some of the newer material too.
iOS 16
I’ve just updated my top tier subscription to DC Infinite…Yay! But, my iPad Air 2 will not load the app! My question to WB is, will an older version of the app be made available? I’m in the UK and desktop reading is not available.
iPadOS 26 issues
I’ve used this app on an iPad for years and have enjoyed it. But ever since the latest ipadOS update, landscape mode is janked. Even with the “fit to landscape” toggled on, it will put itself into a portrait window. The fix is to turn off windows in iPadOS when using the app which seems silly
