Latest update makes me want to cancel
It’s rare that an update actually makes an app LESS useful. It’s even stranger when the developer goes out of their way to remove a feature instead of just leaving well enough alone. The latest update reduces the ability to set a search radius - used to be you could choose 5, 10, 20, whatever miles - and instead only allows two options, in state only or “near me” which sets a hard radius of 50 miles. 50 miles is useless to people who live in major metropolitan areas - say, NYC, a huge market for wine searcher - when the city is about 10 miles wide and the vast majority aren’t driving. Same for Chicago, San Fran, wherever. Anyway, it makes the app somewhat useless for me so I’ll be cancelling my subscription until the search radius is settable again.
Almost Perfect
Love, love, love this app. I have the upgraded version and use this app daily to research and purchase wines. However, I wish it had 2 additional features…I can’t write notes about the wines I’m researching and thinking of purchasing without writing a review. If I already tried it I wouldn’t need to document the research. I have to use another well known app to make my notes. The second is that the app does not summarize your favorite wines by wine shops. Everyone knows buying in cases optimizes the shipping costs/bottle. So I have to use another excel spreadsheet to track which shops are carrying my soon to be purchased wines so that when I make a case I can order. Other than these issues I love this app!!!
Why move the Ratings Button?
I know I’ve posted before but it is so frustrating to go back and forth through the app to find the ratings button. Please move it back. Thanks.
Local search has degraded significantly
I used to be able to narrow my search to my state and, by un-selecting the check box that included stores that ship to my state, I could force the app to display several in-state stores that carry my searched wine locally. Now it seems that without a paid subscription, this function has been overridden to only show me out of state stores that presumably pay for preferred placement. Yeah, I get that, but I’m not about to drive to New Jersey to get a bottle I want for dinner tonight. So the app has now become useful only to get a general idea of average prices nationally.

This is probably the best site for finding the best price on your favorite spirit or wine, it has become our go to for the best prices
Total scam
I was hopeful, but ultimately astonished that they do not control any of the people that participate. I reached out to Wine-Searcher directly and asked for help when they failed to ship me a case of wine that I ordered. They said I need to take it up with the shop I ordered it from. Offered no support no help. I subsequently tried to pursue the individual purveyor to no avail. $700 down the drain. Do not use the people associated with this app under any circumstance.
New update feedback
Love the new update but please fix the Cellar Tracker integration. When you click 'shop' from CT, it now doesn't search or pull up the wine in the new version of the app. Thank you!
Bad value
$10 a month, and the premium version still does not provide notes from pro reviews from the likes of Jancis Robinson or Tim Atkins Edit: just to follow up on the developers response, bizarrely, they are mistaken. Jancis Robinson and Tim Atkins scores are available on the pro version, but any notes or commentary on a given wine are still behind a paywall on both of critics individual websites. You pay ~$120 a year and don’t get to read what 2 of the worlds best wine critics (and arguably the worlds leading critic in JR), have to say about a wine. For that kind of money, for an app, a person should not have to pay for any additional wine critic notes.
Unless without a subscription
Maybe if you’re looking for the best delivery price, it’s a good app. Without a subscription, no tasting notes so it’s useless to me. I’m finally done as the subscription is too expensive for the value. Deleted.

Pro not working
I upgraded to Pro and it still doesn’t give me the Pro results. Dumb.
Perfect with pasta!
The blend was an ideal pairing with our red based pasta … a casual dinner and an unpretentious though on the sweet side wine.
Bug Issues
Whenever I click on a link in a wine’s profile page, instead of telling me what it tastes like or telling me where the wine is from all it populates is a long code message. Even after the newest update it is still doing that
Used to work well
I have used wine searcher for a number of years. A couple of months ago it stopped working. No changes in my iPhone 16 pro max. Sometimes would search the wine but never show shops or other information. Had a subscription, cancelled it and deleted the app.

Practically useless for searching for wines!
Hard to believe that the one thing in the apps name, is the thing it really can't do. Let's say you want a Very Dry Merlot. The app can't help you with that. It can help you order one of their Merlot's but you can't filter for sweetness or anything else. It SHOULD provide a list of wines from everywhere, based on what you're searching for, and you could then find who sells those wines. But nope. It only shows what they're selling. We want an app that's a "Consumer Reports" for wine, but I haven't found one yet.

I think it’s a pity you want to charge users. You should get revenue from advertisers

How do you change search regions on the Pro app? I’m stuck searching USA. This app isn’t user friendly.
So many bugs
Please fix the search bar. I can’t ever type in a wine. It just doesn’t open. Not going to continue subscribing if I can’t actually search wines lol

Wrong wines
I take a picture of the wine label and it is coming up with the wrong brand and some times wrong color. If you don’t have it in your database, I would rather you say that you don’t have it. Then give me something I didn’t take a picture of. The one’s you do get right I do appreciate. And I do appreciate the price listed. It is pretty accurate with the price I paid.
Doesn’t Label-Search Well Anymore
You can still type the search info in and find the right wine eventually, but up till a year, maybe a year and a half ago, taking a pic of the label worked great! Now it can’t find anything with even a remote degree of accuracy. At least that’s been my experience over the last year or so. Perhaps the image database isn’t updated anymore?
Reliable advice
How many times do I buy an expensive wine without consulting Wine-Searcher? Never.
Ratings removed from bottom menu
Latest version removed Ratings from the bottom menu, making keeping track of my favorites much more frustrating. Now I have to always navigate to it from Account. Please revert this change for easier access.

Label Recognition Very Poor
As a big fan and user of the wine searcher website for years, I loved the app but always wondered by it didn’t have label image recognition AI like other similar apps (Vivino). Now its implemented it is so disappointing, my experience its rare it gets it right, alternatives are poor and there is no matching service. Great shame, what should be one of the best is actually one of the worst in the field. Please sort your image recognition AI!!!
Too many wines with no price

i use it constantly for sommelier work. It could stand to use more detail in describing the grapes used in various "blends", otherwise it is my tool of choice for research.
The website is great, but has become unusable
I love the website, helps me with my job as a wine purchaser, but the app has completely locked me out and declared I am a robot with no way to resolve the problem.
Excellent site
This really helpful site needs to enlarge it’s catchment to include the wines of Argentina and Chile in the same way as it does Bordeaux and Burgundy and include second wines from many areas as well.
Terrible data but good app
Great to use but the data is terrible. One case of physical stock creates a dozen merchant listings all broking the same case thus skewing the market massively. Would be ace if you could only list real stock! It’s a necessary evil to have to use WS.

Search doesn’t work
Search for stores regardless of filter or search criteria (ie 50 miles of your zip) return the same 900+ results. Totally useless.
Great source of information
Very useful but bottle photo recognition doesn’t seem as good as it used to be.
Nice idea, but....
.... it doesn’t seem to recognise most bottles of wine I try. Maybe it’s because I’m in UK and it is aimed at US wines??
No en primeur
Updated to pro version, checked today for 2019 Haut Brion which was released today en primeur, sadly the app only has up to 2018. Unable to run a price comparison on the 2019.

Great app
Use it daily, great app although prices /offers can be a little slow to update, doesn't show all offers, and sometimes the graph crashes the app, but great for getting indicative pricing and scores.
Disappointed so far
Downloaded in anticipation - any reason why I can search wine labels stored in my photo album ?? Can’t give any more stars as I’ve not tried with a bottle yet.
