New format is awful
All the useful elements of vivino have been ditched in favour of a sales front end engine. No problem with the commercial bit, but why jettison the reason we joined

Disastrous “upgrade”
They seem intent on running this useful app into the ground. Whatever rebuild they did has made it very slow. Basic data is wrong - the “insights” in particular. (They are the opposite of insights.)

Where’s the %?
The most important thing Vivino had to offer, to me anyway, was the percentage ratings both regional and the world. For some reason they dropped it and for that reason I stopped using this app!
Sometimes seems slow
I find useful as a guide and generally aligns to my taste, but sometimes even with good connection it’s slow
Regional and World Rankings??? What’s happened to them??
Vivino used to present regional and world rankings for every wine. The new app no longer has them. So what happened? You owe your faithful users an answer… and should absolutely add this feature back to the app asap.
My wines list
I’ve been enjoying using Vivino to discover new wines. The label scanner, ratings, and tasting notes are excellent and make choosing a bottle much easier. However, there’s one feature that I find frustrating. Every wine I scan is automatically added to My Wines, even if I only wanted to check its rating or tasting profile. As a result, my collection becomes cluttered with wines I never purchased or tasted. I would really appreciate an option in Settings to disable automatic saving of scanned wines, or at least ask whether I want to save a wine after scanning it. Ideally, My Wines should only contain wines that I intentionally choose to add. I believe this small change would make the app much more intuitive and would help users keep their collections clean and meaningful. Thank you for creating such a great app, and I hope you’ll consider adding this option in a future update.

Great service great wine selection
No manual wine entry
This might’ve been a feature previously, but there’s no way to just take a picture of a wine and enter your information manually. You have to get matched with online wines for some reason. And that’s a huge pain in the butt when you buy locally produced short run or even not even nationally sold wines just from a local tiny vineyard. What a waste this app used to be nice. I don’t want wine recommendations I don’t wanna be matched online, I just wanna keep a record of things that I’ve bought and tasted for my own reference.

Lovely bottle. Smooth . Mild tannin. Dark yet translucent in the correct light. Dark fruit. Cherry, maybe plum. Went well with the lasagne!

I am now having issues removing bottles from my cellar. Can only remove all at one time
Getting better, but still not good…
This app was previously best in class. It had everything I could possibly want. But then the developers started mucking around with it, and it became completely unusable. To their credit, they acknowledged my previous review and made some changes. It’s getting better, but it’s still not good… What I really want is an app that tells me exactly what I wrote about it: My star rating, review, where I tried it, when, and the info that I put in the notes section. Then I know exactly where I had it, the occasion, what it tasted like, and how I liked it. Very simple. For a while, all of that information disappeared. Now my star rating and review are back, but I can’t figure out where and when I tried it, who I drank it with, or the occasion (all of which is in the notes). So now I at least know how I rated it, but having the context is the most important part for me. I can vaguely understand “tastes like blackberry”, but if I read “I drank this on my 10th anniversary at 4 Seasons,” I can place every detail. PLEASE bring back this functionality!!

This App has help us choose the best wine for our meals.
Poor execution
Great to have a wine enthusiast app. Unfortunately this is a very poorly executed one. Wine classification, region and style identification , filtering, basically all functionalities are subpar. It is not on a level to justify a premium membership. And when are they going to fix the bugs? Too many to list, but for starters, when you chose to display your wines from a particular grape of region, why do you get everything that you scanned? Who and how gives app choice awards? Getting worse and buggier with each iteration.
Make more like Untappd!
Not bad, but I want to see what and where my friends are drinking! Make it more like the Untappd beer app so I can log my wines and remember which ones I’ve had, where I had them, and what I thought of them with a small review and picture with friends!
Used to be great only average now
Used to be a fantastic app, but once they went to 100% crowd sourced reviews is now only average.
So so…be careful with dynamic pricing
I recently purchased some wine based on the price per bottle shown on the page and was charged when I added the credit card payment more as the vendor was switched at the last minute to another vendor with a higher price. When I enquired as to why, they responded that I was moved to a vendor who could complete my order and who had a higher price. The price shown was the lowest available at the time. Ridiculous.
Helpful Over the Years
Vivino is super helpful from my perspective, as a still inexperienced but learning wine drinker, to get some idea as to the quality of a wine I’m not familiar with. Without it I have no gauge with which to judge unfamiliar wines. It’s also filled with good educational info on wines. I’ve also bought wines through the app I felt were reasonably priced and of high quality.
So many spam emails
I would love to use this app, but they keep sending marketing emails. Don’t worry about changing the settings. You’ll still get marking emails. Don’t worry about emailing their team. You’ll still get marketing emails. Don’t download. Don’t enter your email. It will never stop.
Paid but can’t add wines to cellar
I recently paid the subscription only to find that I can’t add bottles to my cellar. It’s added the wine to my cellar but adding the bottles only added a 3 to the cellar details icon, (and of course also lost price and location details that I input). When I tap the cellar details icon it wants me to add bottles again! I’m regretting paying the subscription now. In effect the Cellar feature is unusable for bottles added after the recent update. Update: after uninstalling and reinstalling the app the problem was fixed and I can now see the correct ‘Cellar Details’ page.
Non existent Customer support
You cannot get a hold of anyone. Even the help button is hidden under the bottom menu in the app so you cannot click it.

App change
Do not get this app!!! I loved this app for years, but recently they changed it and they took away the ratings of the grapes and how they lined up in grapes of the region and grapes of the world that was one of my favorite parts of this app don’t know why they took it away. And then to top it off now they’re deceitfully charging for the App and if you are not the person that checks your subscriptions often they would have you locked in for a $50 year. This app is now a scam! And I have lost years of a wine library. Way to ruin a great app!

Hit or miss
I’ve been using Vivino for years, with over 1000 wines scanned. One off it is good, for wine list scans it is horrible. This day and age, no excuse for being so bad at scanning lists.
Change the scale to 0 to 100
Changing the scale to 0 to 100 allows for greater precision and avoids the over- or under-leveling that occurs on the 0 to 5 scale. This change offers granularity and flexibility, eliminating note ambiguity.

No cellar
The new changes are a joke. Only 20 wines in your cellar is ridiculous. Not all happy with Vivino. Definitely going to switch to another app

How to slowly ruin an app
What used to be a reliable and well engineered app is now unreliable (eg no longer good at recognising labels, terrible at entering locations where you consumed wine) and takes many more clicks to do the routine tasks like entering a bottle you have drunk at a restaurant. The designers seem confused about their aims - is it a platform to buy wine? Is it a review site? Is it to manage your wine collection? And the introduction of AI is a truly spectacular fail - to be told I am drinking my first French cab sauvignon when there are hundreds of bottles of it in my Vivino records… and it seems now to get the grapes wrong in the wine descriptions quite often. A shame. Guess Cellar Tracker must be rejoicing. PS the woeful (AI) reply to the review tells you everything you need to know about the company’s attitude to customers and actually fixing anything.

This was a great app and a go to for my wines but now it’s more about selling you wines and if like me have been put off by buying wine online it a shame because the app is a great reference tool

Used to be ecelllent
When I started with Vivino, they had great customer service. Now you can’t call in. I have charges for an order they couldn't fulfill, and the chatbot can’t resolve it. I’ve typed my fingers to the bone, interacting with the rect screen. It is terribly frustrating. They are evidently saving money by having me work harder. In any event, I’m still out $360. I'm out of Vivino, too.

Two different apps
The market place part of the app is good. The social network part (for reviewing and connecting) is buggy, inconsistent and not very feature rich. I wouldn’t pay for this app TBH.
Wine list scanner is useless
While the app’s wine knowledge and recording functionality is great, I’ve never been able to get the wine list scanner to get me anything intelligible out of it. I paid to upgrade to get this functionality and it just doesn’t work. Please improve your OCR AI.

I think should be better to rate the wines on a decimal points basics. I have rate wines unfairly because of the way it is now...

What used to be an excellent app for recording your wine journey has been progressively degraded and dumbed down over the past few years and is now almost unusable for wine lovers. Very sad.

Getting worse and worse
I’ve had this app for years and used to absolutely love it but it’s got worse and worse over the years and I barely bother any more. There’s been various attempts to monetise the app more Effectively, but this isn’t even the problem. It’s now extremely difficult to even get to your old reviews after you’ve scanned a wine - to me this is one of the fundamental purposes of the app. Still ok to access community scores I guess but nothing like as good as it used to be.
Not as useful as it could be
Seems like it would be a useful app but it’s annoying that it doesn’t interact with supermarket wine list (eg what wine is best from Waitrose / sainsburys online) and you can’t eg make lists of your own wine (eg wines that I like from the local wine shop). You just can’t actually do that much with it.
