Best minimalist GTD app out there
I am a huge fan of this app. Use it for a full David Allen - type work ecosystem and absolutely love it. I have been using it for roughly 12 years and absolutely could not live without it.
Was better, now not good
App still broken. Зачем вообще решили обнлять добавлять кучу функций и менять привычный годам ux? Качал как легкий блокнот, но последние два года обновления превратили в нерабочий неудобный продукт. Очень жаль... лучше бы делали новую апу.
Love Workflowy, app could use some work
I absolutely love Workflowy on my desktop. What I struggle with on the app version is that the arrow to flip through photos doesn’t work and zooming in to pictures is really difficult. It would be great if you could work on this. Also, I know you probably have been working on this or trying to since you’re always coming out with new functionality, but notifications would be life changing. I could literally keep everything on Workflowy without having to schedule reminders on Google Calendar or whatever else.
Just bullet points?
Maybe I’m missing something, but when I make a new node and hit the plus, it creates a bullet point. Nothing I do changes that fact. If the app only allows for bulleted lists and has a calendar that I’m not even sure what the purpose is for within the app, it’s probably not deep enough to be useful to you. Again, I’m probably using it wrong, but UI and UX are a thing.
DONT UPDATE
This app was completely perfect. I loved it. Until they updated it. They changed how you shift items around and it is so static and ugly. They should totally revert it, please. They also changed how you select and check items, if you hold down an item for a second or two and then you click check you can’t uncheck it by swiping it. It was perfect the way it was before, why did they need to screw something good up
Workflowy is awesome

Bloated, awkward, clumsy
Used to be five stars, now just one maybe two stars sad to say. No longer has the ability to color code text, bold text, etc, effectively and efficiently. Do not recommend.

Too glitchy on iPhone
This could be smooth and rarely glitch like Outliner Pro for iPhone users (and may get fixed soon) but the fact that you can’t select multiple items at once to move batches of data from one level to another makes this way too difficult to use on an iPhone.
Infinite Joy
I could write a poem about how delightful it is using infinite indents with infinite searchability. I’m looking forward to learning more about this app. 10/10 recommend!
Previously good
I used to like this app but unfortunately all I get is the loading screen and it keeps trying to load. So I give up using it
Great and simple app
Love the simplicity of bullets. Have taken a liking to it to get done. Just wish there were more themes. Like there’s no catpuccin in the app. So one star missing on my review of otherwise great app just because of that.

Severe bugs makes it unusable
This app has gone from bad to worse— it’s very unstable. If you’re using a traditional computer, the website is wonderful and very useful. But do not use this app. Even the developers warn their own subscribers not to use it. C’mon guys (and gals), please put some effort into fixing the app. This problem has been going on for a very long time now. Have you abandoned the app?

I recommend this to everyone I know! The one tool I’ve used daily for years.
AI all over it
Used to love Workflowy until they just enabled AI one day. No announcement, no REQUEST FOR PERMISSION, they just did it. Totally inconsiderate of its client base!! Switched to Dynalist and Purelist, both are much smaller and I feel way better knowing my data isn't going into the AI machine.
Awesome on Windows, not on iPad OS
I take back what I said with Workflowy on iPad OS being ugly. (I used a weird looking typeface that made the app look ugly, whoops) But I still stand with adding notes being a difficult task on iPad. - {Shift} {Return} You can’t even use `/note` to add a note—a functionality that I often use when note taking. Multitasking on iPad with Workflowy is a pain.
Keyboard shortcuts don’t work
The whole appeal of WorkFlowy (on the Mac) for me is being able to quickly brainstorm and create lists using purely the keyboard. For some reason, the keyboard shortcuts for the Mac version are not implemented on the iPad, making it basically useless for anyone wishing to have a speedy, efficient tool on the iPad.
WorkSlowy on loading =(
I am total fan of this app and I run my life on it! I want to put 5 starts, but it's 3 due to it starts speed - I literally can forget what I wanted to jot down while I am waiting! It might like 10-15 seconds!! It is so sad to see the app being still workslowy on iOS despite numerous promises to fix it from the authors - I hope well live to it one day! Also - I want to be able to chose where my info is stored - it would be great to have Obsidian like approach!
Unique and Well Designed
Workflowy just clicks with my brain. It just makes sense, I don't know how else to explain it. Runs smoothly, looks nice, customizable. 5/5, no notes.
Usage data access means they take all what you type.
Any app with unknown developers writing usage data and cross app access are scammers and can sell take away what all you type. Stay away from such scamming apps. May be some developers are good and genuine but 90% will steal your info and what you type. Not safe to use.
I didn’t expect to end up here
I have tried them all (most recently TickTick) and Workflowy has shown me that context and simplicity are what matters most to me.

Downloaded, had to provide email address to use. Automatically got put on mailing list without consent.
text size keeps reverting
adjusting the text size is cumbersome and does not use the ios system settings, but even after going through the process of reducing the text size (you have to carefully goldilocks press the adjust buttons at just the right speed) the size will inevitably revert to some default size after a while. can this please be fixed? thank you

Broken
It will not allow me to sign up as it does not accept the "click all the images containing a bus". I've done this about 8 times and I can't get on. I assure you, I do not normally have trouble with these checkpoints.

Eigentlich ganz toll aber
Es ist ein einfach gehaltenes und sehr gut gestaltetes App. Leider leider auch mit Abo. Doch steckt dahinter kein Service, die eine Jahres-Gebühr von 50€ rechtfertig. Es ist ein sehr gutes App und würde es wirklich gerne kaufen aber es ist eben nur ein Outliner App. Solches kann man auch kaufen und das gleiche tun. Nur eben nicht so schön gestaltet.

Best free notes app
I’ve been using Workflowy for over a decade for my to-do lists, goals lists, shopping lists, and all of my list needs. I love how easy it is to use, how it syncs across various devices, and how the free version is ad-free. It keeps me organized!
Gave up after too many captcha
Must have probably been asked to check images 6-8 times between before and after signup. Maybe tone it down.
A solution looking for a problem
After using many organisation apps that were either too rigid or not quite suited to me, I gave WorkFlowy a go as an expanding notebook. Little did i know it would replace all the other apps. As I built my lists and explored its simple but effective tools, I realised that with the use of hashtag keywords allowed any number of projects, search terms and growth. My first page lists the most popular (day, week, month, year, individual shopping lists by store, specific projects etc. this allowed me easy daily checks to keep track of what became a large and complex network of ideas. When the inspiration strikes I can develop mind maps of projects quickly and efficiently. When I need to organise information, I can drag & drop it’s order. I’m still finding uses for this simple yet potentially complex app, across all of my devices. Thanks for the answer I didn’t know I needed
An improvement.. but disappointing
As a pro subscriber and a big fan of Workflowy, I was really looking forward to this long-promised update. While this certainly is a step in the right direction, I am truly disappointed mostly. Here‘s why: - Why are new items automatically inserted at the top of the list and not at the bottom? There should at least be an option to decide where a new item goes. I personally prefer the bottom - No keyboard support: I thought this might be the whole point of an update. - Zooming in or out of a topic? Not possible, at least not with the shortcuts I am familiar with - Using the TAB key works, but it opens the PREVIOUS task and its subtask. That is not how it works on the desktop version. Why use different controls? - still no dropdown menu for tags, as is the case with the desktop version Basically, all you guys did was giving this a prettier interface and adding a „Complete“ button at a more convenient position (directly over the keyboard, as opposed to at the very top, which - admittedly - is quite an improvement) Other than that, I don‘t really see an improvement. Now you might argue that the control options I am missing from the keyboard are replaced by touch control, since it is an ipad/iphone and not a computer/mac. But isn‘t the swift and easy input of tasks etc. via keyboard what actually makes Workflowy great in the first place? We got more than enough todo apps that work via touch. Don‘t get me wrong: I love Workflowy and you guys are doing a great job in general. I am just a little disappointed, is all.
Great on desktop, slow on iOS
Great concept, design, and decent desktop browser experience. On iOS (iPhone XS) it’s barely pleasant to use. Shame.
Amazing, Simple, Clean

Gives all your data to AI
Been a Workflowy user for over a decade, logged in to find out they decided to install AI with ZERO warning. No polling, no asking, no opt-out. Giving your notes to AI and being charged for it = brain rape. When I complained, someone in their tech support replied "What's the big deal, the staff can already see your data." GREAT. So not only the AI but the humans have all my notes now. No thanks! Move to self-host.
Great app
Works well and is simple. Don’t try Beta features on an iPad Pro 12.9. They don’t work.
iOS app still lacks so much
The experience on iPad in particular is just such a shame. As others have said, the desktop app is great, but mobile adaptation seems to always fall so far behind. We get the latest features sure, but the basic user experience is still poor. For instance at the moment it gets confused between me wanting to edit a bullet and move a bullet, and it’s still, after all these years, incredibly difficult and frustrating to tell what level in the hierarchy you are placing your bullet. It just isn’t good I’m sorry to say! I just have to work around it. But it’s not a pleasant experience. And it’s definitely not going to encourage new users to join up.

Stupid verification pictures
I get security.. but spending 5 minutes clicking in different pictures to only get more pictures. I gave up and will look at other apps
Great but is missing 1 thing
I’ve been using it for more than 3 months. I like how simple it is to track all my notes and thoughts and todo. However I’d like to be able to attach files to note - a link for example to a google drive file would be amazing. Then it would be perfect for me
The WorkFlowy iOS experience needs work
This app really deserves to be better. It’s fine if you want to view your WorkFlowy content that you’ve created with the full version, but it’s weak when it comes to authoring. The most glaring omission is that there’s no way to share something (text, links) from other apps into WorkFlowy. It supports sharing text out of WorkFlowy, so this feels like a weird oversight. Shortcuts support would be *fantastic* for an app like WorkFlowy, but there’s nothing. It does support links at least, so if you write your WorkFlowy content on the desktop version you can include cross-links between nodes and they work. They even work from within other iOS apps, so you can click a link in Reminders (for instance) and it will jump you to the correct node in the WorkFlowy app. What you cannot do in the app, AFAIK, is copy the link to the current node. This feels like a major oversight given how WorkFlowy embraces cross-linking in general. You *can* share the current node and get a link that way, but doing so makes the node public, which is unnecessary and possibly undesirable. It *does* work well in pop-over on an iPad as well as in split screen… however it doesn’t support having two WorkFlowy windows side by side. The inability to open more than one window is also a failing of the desktop apps, but that’s hardly an excuse. The web version supports multiple windows/tabs just fine. WorkFlowy deserves a better iOS (and MacOS…) app than this.
Better and better
Started using Workflowy to track ideas and lists a long time ago. It keeps getting better. Now I use it for planning, writing and productivity. After years it’s still the most used app on both phone and computer.

Forces you to give up your email address the moment you open it. No other way to use it.
Life changing
Who thought bulleted lists could change the way you think and organize your business and personal life. I’d like to see the ability to embed images and then this a 5 star app. Thank you WorkFlowy.
Great app let down by stupidity
I love this app on my Mac. One of the best outline tools. Unfortunately on iPhone and iPad it fails. Not with functionality but by constantly being logged out and then being sent a pin which makes this app useless when you want to use this while out and about if you don’t have internet connection. Good example. Watching a Udemy course on the Underground and then wanting to take notes. Nope you can’t as you have been logged out making the app useless.
