Pretty good and getting better
Big fixes and accessibility have improved. But it will take a little more time for the app to be as accessible and intuitive as eBay. I would really give it 4.5 stars but it is on the 5 star trajectory.
iPhone update or you can’t use App
Using bob for many years, but now I have to update my iPhone if I want to continue using it. Fortunately I have no outstanding orders and bob will just become another app unused for their ridiculous requirements. If I could give a zero rating I would.
Absolutely disgraceful customer service
I have been waiting MONTHS for Bob Shop to resolve a seller dispute. Tickets have been closed without the matter being resolved, emails have been ignored, and I have repeatedly been promised callbacks that NEVER happen. Months of chasing customer service and I am still nowhere. Empty promises, terrible communication and absolutely no accountability. If this is how Bob Shop treats its sellers when there is a dispute, I would seriously think twice before using this platform.
Bug: The type a message box persists
Navigating to the questions section under the user profile tab at the bottom of the app. Entering a conversation and going back causes the type a message box at the bottom of the screen to still appear even when not in a conversation from asking a question about a product

Payflex as an option is needed. Please fix search when I search ps5 i get unrelated stuff on the search

This app is a scam I ordered till now I haven’t received any it’s been 2weeks now

Keeps on crashing. Pretty pointless if your app is unstable.
Please fix the watchlist
App is getting better. Please fix the Watchlist. It goes crazy when removing or unliking items and requires you to go out and back in again. Happens on mobile and ipad app.
Dear BOB
I really enjoy the App, for that you get an additional X5 star. The reason for the X3 star is for the "search engine"... To be honest that deserves a X1 star. My reason? If I type in, running shoes, and then specify ending soon or, newely added, I get stamps or antique items in it, did I mention stamps!!! I personally feel that if you type in shoes only, running or casual, smart or simple, there should then ONLY BE SHOES, not stamps, not pots, not rechargeable battery not dresses, not pants, not cellphones, not coins, not games, not caps, not ties... That exactly is how the search engine works... But then again, who is going to read this??? No one, no one indeed. Thanks

Writing on the app
Anywhere where you can write (review/ ask a question) the app freezes on iPhone.
Could do with bug fixing
It’s ok but lots of small bugs make it frustrating to use. I didn’t have this with the old app: When I have a long list of items to look at, after a short time of looking at details and switching back to the list it stops scrolling down so I can’t see any more items (list has 1000 items but won’t scroll past the first 50 or so). Links from mail never open in the right place in the app, e.g. the offer screen. Can’t group watchlist by seller to see how many items are still open from the same seller. Etc.

The App worked well on previous version of iOS, but ever since iOS upgrade, has stopped working and get “an unknown error has occurred with this action “

Good app
Unbelievably unintuitive.
This is an app I use almost daily, and if it worked as it should, it would be a pleasure to use and to leave a good review, however there are way to many problems to ignore with app. Too many to mention, I wouldn’t even know where to start. So for now I will bring up only one issue. This app notifies you via email when a saved search or Wishlist item comes back in stock. The movie it notified me about It True Lies. However the email correctly says True Lies, but the thumbnail and link is of a movie I don’t have any intention of owning, ‘The Elephant Man’, so I don’t see why this movie would even be ob any of my lists. Please fix this issue, thank you.

The App shows seller has no current listing when searching for Seller xxx, when clicking on previous purchase from seller , their seller name, circles forever. When rating multiple products for a given sale , ‘select All’ button is missing??

Bug on credit card details screen. iPhone & iPad
When I get to the payment screen I’m unable to fully enter my credit card info. The UI is offset and cannot be scrolled and interacted with at the same time!
Push notifications
Great app , but allow users to choose what notifications they want to received ! It’s annoying to get promo push notifications when they are not wanted !

Poor Service
I placed an order and did the payment on the 26th of March and now that I’m writing this review on the 2nd of May I still have not received my order. The company Infinite Tech keeps on promising for an update on the order and reply whenever they feel like it, after a day or two. I regret even trying out Bobshop and now I feel like I have been scammed because I don’t even know who to lodge a complaint to. This service sucks, I should have stuck with Takealot. 😤👎
App not user friendly
The app doesn’t add to my watchlist reliably, show the closing date of “buy now” listings, or accurately filter or sort my lists
Why no PayPal
The absence of PayPal as a payment option has caused me (and my bank) considerable wasted time. Visa Debit created currency confusion. Almost debited R140 as £140, not ~£8. I’m in UK, where almost all sellers offer PayPal on EBay - by far the most convenient. Please add to your site.
Needs portrait
This is a good app for the SA bid or buy online store but it seriously needs a to have portrait for the iphone and iPad iPod touch, it's very annoying

When opening make an offer it’s freezes, Response to message received, no how about you fix your app and have a developer reach out instead of pushing me to your customer services!
App functionality is buggy
Sorting by price? Doesn’t work. Changing search words after a previous search, without going to Home? Doesn’t work. These are basic things users do, yet it seems to have skipped UAT before being published.

Version 2 a major improvement
Thanks BoB for a very nice update. Really like the improved search and ability to enlarge the thumbnails. Overall ths has been a major improvement over your previous app. You can pretty much do anything you can on the normal website now if you are a buyer. Still lacks all the seller tools but I am sure you are working on it. Anyway from a buyer perspective it works great.
WATCH OUT ‼️ Only protects sellers
Every time I had a problem or dispute on my purches or bid Bobshop support only protects the sellers waited a month for my items or refund also still no refund on one order when a seller canceled the transaction because they dont allow collection from your own courier ..
App crash
1. The seller does not show on the listed listings 2. When doing a search on items, refine your search to certain items - the buttons do not work and you cannot select what you want to see, no thank you, I’ll stick to the desktop when I want to browse bobshop, the app-crash is very frustrating. Not recommended for use on handheld devices
Good start... Scope for improvements
The app works fast, which is important when bidding. Some functional improvements would be appreciated. Ex. Show how many of an item another bidder bid on. Link email to app rather to website. Same applies when a seller makes a personal offer.
Much better than previous versions (version 2.0.0)
Thank you for a good update. Great to have ability to upscale thumbnails which was greatly missed in the first versions. I also like the ability to move things between your watch list and your cart and vice versa. The search and refine is also much better to use now and one does not get overwhelmed by all the options and drop downs like in the previous versions. It is definitely packaged a lot better. Also like the option to search for sellers now. The "My bidorbuy" section is also much improved and also now has some basic seller functionality. I am looking forward to seeing full selling functionality in the near future as this will make it a truly top notch app. Looking forward to more regular updates….and please add the full seller functionality.
Non functional on iOS
It gives an error and makes the phone vibrate non-stop
Redesigned app is worse
The old Bid or Buy app was much better than this new Bobshop one. I keep getting asked to sign in, when I have already; and the seller tools are nonexistent. P.S. I get the Bob rebrand, but for your flagship site, Bid or Buy is much better.

Where's the support for sellers? Ability to update profile? The app is clumsy, it's an over glorified web browser
