Easy to get to my accounts
About to give up
I can’t even enroll because the app tells me the info I input doesn’t match what UMB has on record, even though the data is input exactly as it reads on my bank statement. Hopefully, someone at the bank can help but I’m not holding my breath; this is day 3 of the bank NOT getting back to me. UMB bank communications have been seriously lacking since they took over the previous bank. They tell you to call this phone number, then that phone number and then the local branch goes right to voicemail and an actual human never calls you back. I think it’s time for a new bank if I can find one that actually answers the phone.
Please make dark mode icon, otherwise it’s great!
That’s all- works great, but a dark mode icon would really be nice.

Have to open the app and login several times before it will actually work .. junk
App is OK at best
Kind of not tech savvy, aesthetically not up to par and I think the rewards should be easier to navigate to.
UMB app problems
App stops working every other day and then starts working again. It was working fine until a few days ago and was rock solid. Now it fails regularly. It seems like something this important should have 24/7 tech support. If I call after hours the line is answered but say I have to call during “regular” business hours. It usually starts working again but only for a couple of days and then fails again. I keep a large amount of money (to me) in the bank and don’t want to switch banks, but I need something reliable. I can’t use a mobile app that fails all the time. Can UMB make this reliable again? I’m almost ready to trash the app and try something else. UPDATE: This was all a misunderstanding on my part. I don’t mind admitting when I make a mistake. I figured out my error and found I was doing something incorrect in app. Sorry for wasting everyone’s time!
Fix your app
At some point yall had an app update which is now causing the app to not load the account information, this causes your customers to have to hard close the app MULTIPLE TIMES hoping the next time they open the app they will be about to see their account information which typically doesn’t work. Fix your app!! This has been going on for too long!
Great bank, Okay app
UMB is a great bank I would recommend to anyone however the app make me hesitant. It is very dated compared to what’s out there in 2024. I think it they can update the app it would be perfect.
Deposit history
This app has been super buggy for a while. Just to add another inconvenience I can no longer see my deposit history in the app.
Missing vital information
I wish they kept in the main mortgages and Heloc accounts the current interest rates and due amount along with the due date. This would be very helpful and practical.

Unable to login
I have an HSA with this company. I’ve never been able to login using this application. I don’t like this company because the tech is poor. Separately, it takes a full 3 days for a buy order to complete on the HSA investing tool. Why? I can’t time any purchases due to such an extraordinary lag. Why am I also only able to invest in very narrow windows if I set it to be automatic? Why not at least let me set it to every two weeks to keep it consistent with my paycheck schedule? After reading through many of the reviews, you begin to see a recurring pattern of poor technology. I don’t like using this company’s services, but my work gets to choose who they want us to use. I’d search around if it were feasible.
App is great but new update brought camera bug?
Ive been using this app for nearly 10 years and never had any problems. However, with the new update when trying to mobile deposit I have noticed the camera feature might be bugged? The camera uses some sort of inverted system where you need to angle the phone in an opposite direction in order for you to get the angle/direction you want. Other than that, everything is great. Just maybe reconsider going back to the previous setting when utilizing the camera!

I like the bank but their app sucks. Takes forever to load account balance if it even does.

Worst app I’ve ever used
UMB app used to be good. Then something happened. I’ve reloaded it several times; went to the bank and told them about it and they suggested perhaps I needed a new phone…so I went out and bought an iPhone 17. Put UMB on it and still have the same problem. App goes black sometimes; it’s slow to open; sometimes opens, and then glitches.
Okay app
App works for banking needs but it is very annoying. Every time I log in, there seems to be 4 alerts that I have to exit out of with no way of shutting them off. It just seems extra, I want to log in and see my accounts first. I want the app users to try the app before releasing it.

App regularly not working
I'm so frustrated that I can not log into my Mobile banking. App needs major updates. I should be able to log in but it gets stuck and never finishes the log in.

Login often doesn’t work or is slow. Seems to be a recent issue as it wasn’t like this a couple of months ago.
Mobile deposit is terrible now.
They took something that was working great with mobile deposit and made it terrible and awkward to use. Fix this please or might be looking for a new bank after 30 years

Crooked and uncaring
You make a deposit, the app says you have x amount available, so you pay a utility bill. Then, days later, the bank says that you have to wait until next week for the money. So they reverse the ACH, you get a fee from the bank, and lose your utilities.

The app could be very convenient, the log is takes me through too many changes and doesn’t always let me in on the first try.

I have two bank accounts that I use, and the UMB app is superior. Clean text, clear information, and current information. Very good app.
SLOW
The app is super slow now. Takes a while to log in, so I have to close out of it (sometimes more than once) just to get into my account.

Impossible to set up account!
I’ve done dozens of similar account set ups over the years. It shouldn’t be hard. But UMB system is so horrible I couldn’t. I spent a while on several occasions working to login or create an account. But it puts me in an endless loop. When I try and set up an ID it says I have an account and need to login. When I say forget ID it says I need to enroll. I contacted service weeks ago. I got maybe a paper response in the mail (or maybe that was sent standards since everyone has trouble? No idea) that doesn’t even have the up to date info with how their website is set up. I wouldn’t even go with UMB if I knew it’d be such a headache! So what did I do? Paid by phone. Never have I ever!

Good way to watch fraud
When the fraud is coming from your own bank. When my bank switched its name to “UMB” I was already ready to pull my money out and put it in my other bank. When they changed to UMB I thought maybe this company is different. But no. Thanks to this app you can actively watch them clear purchases and then switch them around the next day so that they can charge you overdraft fees. I have a screenshot from yesterday where my balance was positive due to my deposit and now they went down and tacked on 2 overdraft fees (attached to nothing by the way). For example I watched them clear a $2.35 vending machine charge and then 2 days later, put that at the top of my charges, causing an overdraft fee. Is this app good? Yes. Because you can actively watch them take your money and how they are doing it. Is UMB any good? No. They play the same games that my other bank played to steal your money. Watch it on the app and you will see it.
