What people like
- Great for tracking stock prices
- Useful charts and market data
- Good source for business news
What they complain about
- Live streaming rarely works
- Most news requires paid subscription
- App crashes and freezes often
Learned so much with this app
Unfortunately our education system does not teach us how to invest our finances. This app has helped me establish that knowledge! Thank you so much CNBC
Does not work with pi-hole DNS ad-blocker
Until they fix the app so it will work with a pi-hole DNS ad blocker, I can’t use it. When I try to click into an article, the app has a blocking call to some ad tracking site (I assume), so the article will not load. They should make those asynchronous calls so the article will load.
American Greed Show
I liked this show it taught me a lot about fraud, greed, Wall Street, etc. From this show it made me learn to handle my own money but I read good books from Warren buffet, John Boggle, Suze organ just to name a few that know how to handle money wisely. And thank u cnbc for Suze OrMan for 13 years of knowledge. She is great! It’s a good ap but I don’t do subscription I save the money instead! God bless!✝️
Good luck logging in
You guys gotta fix your login process on certain devices. It’s completely impossible to login. Make it so I can enter my account info manually… i mean seriously what are we doing. Live streaming is shotty when its at its best…Do better.
Issues…
Apart from technical issues like extended buffering and the need often to close and restart, CNBC limits most articles to Pro and Club. This is unfair, since when using the app, one is exposed to repetitive and annoying ads, many for CNBC shows like Shark Tank. It seems that they are pushing people to the Club, which is ridiculous in light of much skepticism about Cramer’s stock recommendations. Really a conflict of interest between financial news and sales people. Add: I use my cable subscription to allow me to use this app, having cancelled the paid CNBC Pro. However, frequently, despite the link to DirecTV working , I cannot get Livestream to function, without deleting the app, reinstalling, toggling various settings. What’s going on?
Bias reporting
Sadly, CNBC couldn’t stay away from their liberal bias. For all the great features and news they provided, they failed to stay fair. Scott Cohen’s piece on worst states to live in proved my point. I delegated the app.
Fix Live-streaming
The live streaming no longer works. The app asks to log in with a TV provider, you enter the credentials and nothing happens - the screen is just black. I tried reopening, reinstalling, logging in multiple times but nothing works. Please fix ASAP…
Widgets
Pls reinstate Widgets . Why remove when working fine & all competitors have it. Sincerely, Long time CNBC Pro - Subscriber *Jim Crammer will approve of the iOS Widgets too !
Further decrease in content
For years, the top ten holdings of any mutual fund could be accessed. That feature has now been eliminated.
Political bias
Steve Less-man’s Political bias is Disgusting! And a real dis-service to your viewers. Still wrong on tariffs, still wrong on inflation, still wrong on everything due to TDS. Andrew is a child with child views of the world. Sara and Joe are both thoughtful and reasonable and clearly the adults in the room. Love watching Rick Santelli school Less-man.
Mobile app
This has been a nightmare update being forced to create an account that can’t be created!! Shameful as it has been over a week now without being able to access my watchlist Get this fixed!!
Worst Streaming App Ever
Love CNBC, hate the mobile app & the AppleTV app. Never able to get connected - little star just spins & spins. This app is really the only reason I still have to have Cable! Absolutely awful.
Enjoy the app but news needs to be more current
I was using the app every day but lately they news is really out of date so I’m going to other sources.
Articles are biased at best, propaganda at worst.
I look at the quotes, whoever writes the articles are left wing activists that are too biased. I don’t watch CNBC anymore because of the bias and lies.
Charts are not refreshing
Lately charts in the app are not refreshing quickly when switching length of time. Sometimes it even becomes unresponsive when switching different time durations
Love it
Might be the best app I use.
Watch push has been broken for way too long
Don’t normally make reviews and the app is fine but the push for the notifications to my watch only work when I open the app, sending a barrage of them often days late if I don’t open the app itself on my phone. It’s a known issue and shouldve been fixed long ago. I use these notifications for work and they used to be useful, now they’re just plain irritating.
cool
nice news frfr
CNBC gets worse with each upgrade :( Get Pro, join Club, Ad overload!
CNBC gets worse with each upgrade :( Get Pro, join Club, Ad overload!
App cant load and hold static articles
I want to read an article. I swipe to it in the evening snd the app seems like it cant find the article to show me. Why not?? Then I might be reading an article snd it blips such that the artcle disappears or shrinks snd all I see is the headline and byline. No actual article. You keep putting updates for the back end into the spp store but no be is testing the fixes to see if they work! I dont use live much so i dont have those complaints. The sign in doesnt always hold so I dont bother w live. But honestly, how hard is it to load static written articles and keep the write up in the frame?
Keep up the good work!
Love the app, charts are amazing, my daily go to app. Regards!!
Text wiped out after a few minutes
I’m unable to read longer articles because the text is lost after a refresh of some kind. iPad Pro 5th gen Paid club member. I prefer to read rather than stream video.
Too many pros
Done
Not working anymore
I have used this app for years. Now the resent update makes this app useless. Come on guys get this app working again, Please 🙏
Sounds so low
I don’t know what improvements was done but the sound of streaming became very low! I need take headphones to hear what news says
App update of Aug 21/2023 - (not good)
Lost a few of my watch lists Other watch lists got jumbled up, and reverted back to old watch lists of years ago
Can’t stand the increased political content in your product.
After more than 30 years of watching CNBC, I am leaving to go somewhere where there is not added political content in the world of business. Too bad, just want the numbers without the political content. Just a lousy show now.
Charts nse
If plotted real time will be great One day previvious candle is missing in charts why.if plotted will be very helpful Pramodila
Live streaming terrible
I've had this app for about a year, and the live streaming has almost never worked. I hate to have to listen to my shows later via podcast.
Metals prices missing
Under Commodities, the entire Metals prices are missing. Does anyone else have this problem?
Love it
I wish we could have a personal linked porfolio
Live Stream Does Not Work through TV Providers
Please turn off Livestream through TV Provider. This feature has not worked since Versant Media took over. Very disappointing that Versant Developers can’t figure this out. Joe Kernen, is this acceptable?
Hy
Such a good app. But you should also provide news related to what’s happening on global market while Indian market hours. Thank you
Not able to use it with another app.
I’m not able to use it at the back with another app.
Live stream on iPad stopped working
I’m so frustrated I cannot stream cnbc on my iPad. I constantly remove and reinstall but doesn’t help. Worked fine before the split.
Good finance app
Very good app I use it to track bond prices
Poor sound
This app prevents me from raising the volume to a level that is audible. I cannot use this at the gym or anywhere with the slightest level of ambient noise. Using headphones doesn’t work either. I need to shove my phone speaker into my ear to hear anything. Just horrible.
👍
Pls
Was a good app …
Until almost every article requires you be pro member or part of Kramer’s investment club to read it …. All about just making cash from reader
Please make it free
Too expensive to purchase pro.
Go to App for breaking news
Breaking news quotes all well organized in a simple user friendly interface.
Live video broken
The live video rarely works, and I have to constantly delete the app and reinstall.
Not display indian market
Like asian market indian market is also be displayed
No more quality free news
I’ve been using the CNBC app to follow the markets and companies for years, but most of the news are now only available to paid Pro or Club members. Why can’t CNBC make some of those news available to non-paying customers? I don’t bother even opening the app anymore.
Content is good but..
When I listen to a video and stop it for a moment or two it starts from the beginning and doesn’t resume where it left off. Frustrating and a real time waster
Great app
Great app for news in financial markets
Horrible
Spending so much on a Pro subscription when this app sucks... can't even watch a full episode of anything before it crashes midstream. Happens ALL THE TIME too.
Reliable & updating
The exact overview of world economy
Chart doesn’t work most of the time.
It is frustrating when you want to check your charts but they don’t usually work. I have to hit the 1 day then try 5 and back to one.
Limited unpaid content at this point
This app has very limited unpaid content now. Most articles are labelled as either pro or club so there is very little free content left to read. I have CNBC on cable that I already pay for, so I’m not prepared to pay for it again. I’ve largely moved to other sites at this point like Yahoo as well as others.
