Allow counterfeit items continued listed even being reported. Buyers need extra carefulness.

Some misleading and dishonest sellers on here, buyers beware, sellers do better, Danny Tran I’m talking to you, you shouldn’t be allowed to sell goldfish

Filters don’t work properly
Refinements/filters don’t work properly on iPad. Amazingly, the searches that I saved on my iPad work correctly on my android phone when I sign in, but odometer and year of manufacture filters get ignored by my iPad.

Same issue for sooo… long
App works as intended for a few minutes and then becomes slow to load new pages So annoying - different phones , different isp’s, different wifi. Still slow to load after a couple of minutes.
You are not competing Market
You suppose to allow people to advertise so more subscribers can join gumtree otherwise near future you are done
Support local sellers
Can find some bargains occasionally so good place to advertise & search. Some scammers try to get you so be careful & always get a phone number & do not meet anyone alone. Let someone know it’s from gumtree if selling or buying an expensive item especially.
Bugs
App is super buggy, especially on ipad and iphone. Whenever I try to scroll down it pops right up to the very beginning. Very annoying and the reason why I don’t buy on gumtree but use facebook marketplace for most things, except animal sales.
Why Change
Some bright spark at GT decided to make a algorithm change for the worst Example: search Channel Islands surfboards and now you get everything but, wetsuits swim fins, foil boarding equipment etc etc. Plus other board manufacturers, where as before you’d look up say FireWire surfboards and what was up for sale would pop up. But now they GT blend in all this other non-related junk Why try and improve something that isn’t broken
Renewing
When renewing items can there be an area where you can renew on one button instead of selecting each item.

Why?
Why does this app cause a lot of phones to heat up? I’ve had multiple different phones over the past few years and this app just basically sets my phone on fire.. 2026 and still the same issue. Why is my phone hotter than the core of the sun?
Bombarded with ads and new items
This app has become unusable. It was great as a buy and sell between your neighbours but now it’s just filled with advertisements and actual shops listing their products. But like eBay did. Off to Facebook marketplace for me. Had a good run Gumtree but I’m done now. Just wasting space.

Gumtree overall
I’ve been buying and selling on Gumtree for over ten years and it seems to be changing constantly for the worse. For example : 1. When searching for an item the default option is “best match” which was changed from “most recent”. If you’re constantly looking for an item you need to see the newest listings. This means you now need to change the settings to most recent every time !! 2. Increased advertising by third parties, frequently there are more advertisements than listings on my iPhone screen !! 3. If you change your search to a different item the new listings won’t appear from the top of the list. This requires you to scroll back to the top each time !! These are just some of my many concerns which is maybe the reason why the numbers of views of my listings seems to be consistently decreasing very year !! These best thing that could happen to Gumtree is to return it to how it operated ten years ago with most recent listing appearing at the top of the list as a default, less advertising and just keep the search process simple Cheers Myles

Gumtree has always been our go to service for advertising anything on this platform. It’s well organised & if you are willing to pay a small amount extra, you get the best results always. But even if you use the free advertising, they will always look after you. I have been using Gumtree for several years now & never have had any problems. Thank you
Gumtree now Charging
Thank you so much for now charging to use your old a clunky website/app. You have so many ads generating that it constantly freezes while trying to use the app, no good, Highly DONT recommend !
