Best travel app
Great app
No longer reliable
So sad to day goodbye to Tripit but it’s entirely unreliable. You’ll spend more time fixing the apps itinerary errors than booking & planning your trip!
Must-have for frequent travelers
The closest I’ve found to a perfect all-in-one trip organizer. In the last 2.5 years I’ve had ~30-35 trips and that wouldn’t have been doable without TripIt alleviating the most common part of travel anxiety (staying organized). Forget about manually adding calendar entries, trying to keep up with which reservations Gmail/iCloud automatically imported versus not, managing lodging, tickets, which travel power adapter to bring, etc. Throw everything into TripIt and you’re instantly organized, subscribe to the travel calendar it creates and you’re done. Improvements I would suggest; One, which is mostly cosmetic, is better multicity support to bridge trips. I’m often torn between deciding whether a flight belongs in the trip I’m “departing” or in the next one to which I’m arriving. It’s mostly cosmetic but on the travel calendar I usually want to see the “new” destination/trip in the all day event rather than both, and it would make sense to have the flights be visible in both trips within the app. Two, adding support for custom formatting options on copied/shared itineraries. I’m often sharing itineraries to people who don’t use TripIt (and with whom I don’t want to share my entire travel calendar) and it would be nice to have some prettier styling options for emailing. As it is I’ll use copilot built into outlook to reformat the itinerary into a table view I prefer before emailing. Lastly would be an option on flights to mark them as “not mine” and then excluding them from the “trip start/end” dates - I want to track others’ flights in the trip, but “my” trip start date might be a day or two after theirs.
Nah
Was good 15-20 years ago but they got acquired and stopped doing anything useful. As well as the tired user-interface and server outages, they closed third-party integration with no explanation in 2024. There’s much nicer apps now and some integrate cleanly with AI chatbots via API and MCP, none of which TripIt offers because it’s frozen in 2010.
It loses past trip histories
I really enjoyed this app for a few years until it lost all my past trip history for 2025 and 2026. So it became an average app.
Excellent organizational tool to share with travel companions
I highly recommend this easy to use product. It helps me stay organized and share my itinerary with my family and friends.. It keeps confirmation numbers addresses and helps you plan the time you should leave to get to your next stop.
Duplicates Tours 41 times and counting
Annoyingly duplicates Tours via email sync 41 times and counting!! No response from support yet - very frustrating!!

TripIt used to be better at notifying me about flight time changes
I used to love this app
I’ve used TripIt for a long time and really like the app. It has been my go-to travel organizer because I can forward confirmations from airlines, hotels, tours, activities, etc., and have everything organized in one simple chronological itinerary. Unfortunately, since changing to a new iPhone, the app has become almost unusable. Initially, I could not log in at all. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, tried with my VPN on and completely off, changed VPN protocols, and eventually the next morning I was suddenly able to log in again. All my existing trips were there, but now I cannot save any changes. Every time I edit an itinerary, I get: “Unable to save changes at this time. Please try again later.” I also tried logging into TripIt through Safari and Chrome with the VPN completely disabled, and I cannot log in there either. So this does not appear to be simply a VPN or app installation issue. I really don’t want to switch to another travel app. TripIt does exactly what I need and I already have several upcoming trips organized here. I’m posting this review hoping the developers see it and can help identify what is happening with my account. Please help me resolve this issue.
Super traveler
App does not always link and pull in reso even with receiving an confirmation email. Had to delete, reload and resend multiple times. Finally had to reach out to customer service. Quick response to solve.
Love It!!!
We do a bit of travel (international and domestic) for pleasure and I organize it all, from flights, accommodations and tours. It’s a hobby of mine, for the past 40 years, since I found no one that did it better. I absolutely love Tripit and all the help it offers to keep us on schedule and the helpful reminders. It really makes travel easier. Whether we are doing a weekend getaway or an 8 week trip abroad, visiting various countries, Tripit has it all organized and give me a precise timetable of what’s up next. Couldn’t do it without you!!
Sucks
Just paid $50 for nothing. I want a refund. Doesn’t load trips or flights correctly, have to manually change the flights and it says my arrival time can’t be before departure (I’m inputting it correctly)

Once you understand the process, you can create, edit, add, remove and save you trip on your phone!
Broken again
It’s very frustrating using this app. They constantly break access to my past trips. I worked with Support for literally nine months to get them to fix it so that I could see my past trips in the app. And now after three months, they broke it again, and I can only see trips from this year only. Very frustrating. I had the pro version for a short period of time, but I refused to pay for a subscription to an application that is always broken

Useless
Not much value in the application if it cannot perform the Outlook sync nor could I get the email forward to work. It worked at one point, but then it updated the application and now neither works
Fantastic app for travel
I use Tripit on our recent trip to Italy in Greece and it worked fantastic. A great way to have everything organized in one place and the ability to share with each of the people on the trip was fantastic. We used it for our hotels our restaurants are airlines, hotels, and taxis. So easy to use so powerful.
Missing hotel reservations
This works will with flights but not just hotel reservations.
Poor email parsing
Refuses to build trip from simple email forwards. Pro sub is proving to be not a good investment.

Planned a whole trip just for it to keep adding for my name while I’m on the trip 😭 mind you I don’t have any documents uploaded so my name genuinely doesn’t matter. There’s no documents to check for identity fraud so it just sits there and loads when I want to look at my plans

Amazing Travel App
I’ve been using TripIt for years and it does a great job of helping me organize travel, especially when there are multiple legs to a trip.
Unable to verify email
When I click the link in the email from TripIt in order to verify my email, I get a “verification failed. Please try again later.” If I try to resend a new link, it also errors. Uninstalling app.

At least 40% of what I send it gets flagged does not in the correct format to put into their system creating more work and confusion.
MAC OS DOESN’T WORK
This app is great on iPhone and Mac (Hence 3 stars because I use it all the time). However I am planning a trip on my laptop at the moment but I can’t log in online because I logged in with my Apple ID on my phone and I have downloaded the app on my Mac and it crashes as soon as I try to click into a trip I am going on to update.
Super Helpful App
Simply said, I’ve been using TripIt for years. It is SO helpful to keep me easily organized, especially when there’s always so many others things to keep an eye!
Terrible App
It doesn’t properly import my itineraries. I tried numerous times to report this to their support and they tell me that the vendor must have changed the format, and that I need to enter each port manually, which is very time consuming. They should not have rolled this product out until it was fully tested and worked properly.
App suggestions.
Myself and my travel group love your app. It a great way to organize my trips. Love that it syncs with other travel apps that I use to augment what TripIt does for me. I would like to suggest some additional features: 1) a way to highlight when I’ve got a gap in my hotel stays for a trip. Just to ensure that I’m not leaving myself without a place to stay. 2) similarly, a way to highlight overlapping stays. We have all double-booked ourselves from time to time. 3) notification for when a cancelation date is approaching, so I can act appropriately.
App no longer works well
TripIt no longer lifts reservations from my email or shares them with my wife’s phone. Very disappointing!

Can’t currently use the app? Can’t sign in, can’t even create an account
Best app ever
So convenient, whenever I book a new Tripit is registered and so easy to retrieve. Genius!
Can’t even access the app
Have just installed the app but after 3 attempts to set a password, trying the reset password option as soon as the email link arrives, only to get an error saying the link has expired (in the few seconds it took me to open the email), I’ve given up and will look for another app.
Ok, but glitchy
Been using it for 5 year now and paying for Pro. Overall good. Saved us some headaches with last-min notifications while traveling, so worth it. Some features like family sharing are super glitchy. Some trips get muddled together and you have to manually separate things.
No longer works
Trip-it used to be great requiring minimal efforts. Now, it is useless. Continues to tell me I have to do things I just did a couple times already. Doesn’t read email, doesn’t process confirmations I forward. It just says I’ve got no plans. Going on trip next week and app is blank. Don’t bother with it, don’t trust it. I don’t have time for this.
Time zones need work
You can edit times when TripIt gets them wrong (it doesn’t correctly process parking reservations from my local airport), but, unfortunately, you can’t change the time zone. Update based on developer response: It turns out that you can change the time zone if you enter the parking lot‘s address. That is only accessible through the main edit menu (not Parking Details)
Love the app!
Love having my flights and hotel confirmations and adding activities so I can look back at what we did on a trip.

Solid but could improve
I’ve been using TripIt for years. It’s still the best service I know of to organize travel bookings in a central place with minimal work. Cons: interface is old and slow, could use a redesign. Pro is overpriced for what it gives you.
Free Version is Suffice
I was impressed with the free version so when I purchased the pro version, I thought I would get more features and have automated updates and transport suggestions. This has not been the case. I need to manually update the flights and activities as it struggles with activity reservations. Transport options is Google maps which you have to do yourself anyway. Fundamentally I’ve paid for the good of the free version which I can appreciate

Useless
Installed, not a single trip recognized by the app. If I feel like forwarding mails to an app I’d rather run lists on my phone. Account canceled and deleted.
Responsive Dev Team
The app shows its age in some ways but with that comes a certain maturity of the feature set. The dev team is also quick to respond and address bugs and usability issues. A recent annoyance with location based alerts that could not be dismissed was addressed in a dot release, and the support team followed up to my email on the subject quickly and accurately. You can’t ask for much more these days. Solid app!
Does not work on MacBook Pro
Apple M4, 26.3.1 , application works ok on iPhone , account will sync but hangs when trying to use on MacBook

Personal information updates e.g., Passport details buggy. SMS activation had no Singapore in it, which is strange
