A fun afternoon
At a loose end on a Sunday afternoon in Geneva we found World City Trail. A fabulous way to pass the time, seeing the city discovering its history and having a giggle solving the clues. We will be using it again on our next city break.
Nice experience with lovely details
It was great

Fun app
We used this to explore Cologne city centre. It was a fun couple of hours and the puzzles are very achievable.
Disappointed/san Sebastian
App worked only intermittently, riddles were boring, information provided was not interesting.
Great fun
This was such a fun and simple way to guide ourselves throughout the city. We did a tour in two different cities. The app user experience could be a bit easier and it was rather slow to load. The “clues” and puzzles that need to be solved are rather rudimentary and some feel sort of forced. But the commentary and history is interesting.
Thessaloniki
Was great fun for me and my 4 family members of all ages. A great way to get around the city, see some sites and generally explore at your own pace. We’d stop for drinks and lunch throughout the day
Glitchy app
Tried to use it in Colmar France but the app kept crashing and wouldn’t work properly. Using my own data plan with high speed internet and the app still had to be closed out and restarted every time I interacted with it. The app had good information about the land marks but I only managed to get through 3-4 of them before I gave up on the app and my €8.
Does not work well
We did not connect to WiFi when using this app as instructed and it continuously malfunctioned. You cannot use WiFi with this app or it will not work correctly. So if you do not have access to international data or unlimited data, I suggest finding a different app. I had to restart the app multiple times to get it to somewhat run and even then some features were not useable. Deleted it and will be looking for a different version.
Liefen trotz Empfehlung viel hin und her. Mit zwei Handys war es möglich…
Great Way to Explore a New City
We used this app to explore Strasbourg. It helped us to discover a number of the main points of interest in the city, provided our route and gave us information on the history. It made it more fun for the children and us. Would definitely use again in another city.
Rausgeworfenes Geld
Used 3 times
We’ve used this in Riga, Stockholm and Vilnius and found it a great way of exploring the city without wandering around aimlessly. You can decide whether to complete it in 1 day or over a few more which makes it a more relaxing experience without the need to dash around Will definitely look to use on our next city break
Lame scavenger hunt, worse support
Downloaded the scavenger hunt for Helsinki. Made it almost 2/3 of the way thru when the app crashed. I tried to start it back up but it said my code had expired. I tried customer support who acknowledged me, but provided no instructions or help. The scavenger hunt questions were fine for the first few but the last couple were just what were the dates at the sites.
Interesting way to explore a city
The app is well designed for a self guided exploration of a city. We had fun doing this scavenger hunt
Middelmatig
Perfect!
We spent the day doing the Cambridge Scavenger Hunt. It was a really fun and interesting way to explore the city - the app took a second for each audio clip to load but, once it did, it was perfect. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to ramble a city at their own pace but also come away with some knowledge!
Caro
Caro para lo que es
Great way to explore a city
We travelled as a family with 2 teenagers. Using the app kept the children engaged and interested, and we even managed to get group selfies at each stop! The clues were fairly easy, the extra help being useful at times. It would be good if some clues also took you to less obvious spots to give more inside tips on hidden gems within the city that might otherwise not be discovered. Although we bought 2 tickets, only 1 device worked, but sharing was fine. We also missed 2 clues as accidentally clicked on the site before arriving in the spot, without realising. The walk was very easy to navigate. Would use again.
Total langweilig
Richtig schlecht gemacht!
Great Route, too Easy
Really good route and good group interaction. We had some problems linking our accounts and the clues were way too easy. We were able to get two by just following the screen prompts without clues. Needs to be more challenging or levels of being challenged.
Fun way to explore the city
This was an excellent way to get around a small city like Bologna and see some of the historical sites away from the crowds. App works well!
Disappointing
Tried this app in Toulouse! I wasted my money! The games are very boring, the hints not well made and the translation to Italian was awful too! I definitely wouldn’t recommend it
It’s a meh activity, not worth the money In Salzburg
Missing most important places on the map of Salzburg. I’ve done a free walking tour before and it was much better, funnier and more informative than this game. We were quite bored. The recommended route of the shortest walking distance was not the best route for short distance walking. Overall I’m deleting the app and not paying 10€ for an activity like this again. 2 stars instead of 1 just because we recognise the effort that was put into building the platform.
Gdansk
We really enjoyed this! Saw far more of the history of Gdansk than we would have without this great app. We will definitely use on our next trip.
Rip off - no value for your money
Wanted to do a city tour through Zaragoza. Bought for both my wife and myself: "Zaragoza: zelfgeleide hoogtepunten speurtocht en wandelen naar". Piad 2x EUR 6,00 = EUR 12,00 for really nothing. My wife couldn't start the tour. My tour was completely not understandable due weird translations in the descriptions. Even worse: answers to questions were incorrect! Avoid this kind of rip off apps. Update: I thought it couldn't get worse. But it can: just received a mail that a refund won't because I gave a one star review...😂. Good luck with the stolen money and get happy.
Entertaining but Challenging
We did a route in Lausanne and while it was it was enjoyable and entertaining, some clues, such as the one for the clock math, could have been less vague.
Idee gut, Umsetzung mittel
A nice way to explore
A couple of questions are a little obscure and cost you points. But it’s a great way to get around the city and learn a little history. The cafes and bars en route make it relaxing and fun.
Dek
Great fun!
FUYEZ !
Fun for a short game
We had a fun time checking out Salzburg but the goal of the clues could have been better defined. It was fun to read more about the city.
Omslachtig
Warsaw Scavenger Hunt with free Audio Guide
Completed or scavenger hunt and guide of Warsaw yesterday. Completed as a couple has loads of fun while solving puzzles and learning interesting ing facts and seeing the main sights along the way. Ordered day before. Very easy to download app, login and activate your tour. Good mix of puzzles nothing too taxing taxing but still made you think. App worked perfectly with no glitches Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Good idea, but a disappointment
It’s not that I hated the app, I just don’t think it’s really anything. The concept of the app seemed good, but I don’t think that it lived up to what it advertised. Maybe I just picked a bad tour to do since it was the one for Bratislava which may not be as expansive as larger capital cities. The interface was lackluster and limiting. It wasn’t engaging or fun in anyway. They mentioned having riddles which didn’t exist. The worst part was probably the fact that in the app the tour prices were around 20 euros which is wayyyyy too much for what you get. Thankfully, I got a serial number by buying a ticket on Get Your Guide instead for 2.5 euros instead and honestly you really only get 1 euro’s worth of content in the end. 🤷🏻♀️😢
Fine for the price
Tour and scavenger hunt around Zurich. A few quirks in the app, nothing fancy. Good for the price. It was $11, other tours (using other apps) were about $30.
