What they complain about

- Pop-ups interrupt you constantly during tours
Terrible app that museums force upon you
This app has no controls that make sense and starts and stops when it feels like. People waiting to see castle in Sintra spent most of their time in line cursing this app and most gave up after a short time
Quite good but no audio for several entries
Quite a good guide but for a so-called audio guide they hadn’t bothered to record audio for about a third of the entries. It kept losing my place when I switched to another app (e.g. camera), which was annoying.
Good content. Garbage app
Despite having downloaded the information for our tour ahead of time, it still needs an internet connection to work. This is unfortunate as many of the facilities have poor WiFi and no service for data. The app often crashes when it cannot connect. It consistently has pop ups advertising other tours, and then begs for reviews. There is only audio for about 1/2 of the locations. The rest are exact copies of the information posted outside the location. The great audio information is the only reason I would give the app 2 instead of 1 star.
Mediocre, but usable
Mediocre, but usable. Just be sure to not let the screen tough your face as you're listening to the audio or it'll reset back to the initial page - super annoying.
no sound, useless - dont buy !
this app is completely useless could not hear a word with my speakers do not recommend
Not handy
Once you download the app, downloading the guide for the Sintra Palace was too heavy and it take too much time, almost completed the visit by the time it downloaded. Useless
Best guide app
We just breezed through Porto and Lisbon with this app guiding us every step of the way! So easy!
Good guide
It's nice app and easy to use
Doesn’t handle offline gracefully
Downloaded a tour on wifi at the ticket booth. Wouldn’t work offline in the attraction. App locked up and nothing could be done but a force quit. Worked again back on wifi. I wouldn’t bother again
Issues with Sintra castle
Points with unavailable audio, unordered numbers.
Pena Palace in Sintra Portugal
Your app keeps freezing up, requiring a reboot. UI was also suboptimal, and some rooms on App vs Palace were not in order of fixed tour route. Probably the worst money I have ever spent on an audio tour, even if its not much money. 3 of 3 folks had same problem….sad!
Crashes Continuously
The app continuously crashes if I didnt have internet signal. It was very frustrating as the tour kept going.
Too much data
Saw this at Atomium in Brussels. Installed it. It Wanted to download ‘1M’ is that 1 GB? Only audio. No text to fallback to so bit pointless. No tourists can download 1Gb when walking around. Good idea but poor execution.
Smart app!
I love the idea of using a phone rather than having to rent a physical audioguide! I can’t wait to see more tourist sites in this app
Horrible experience
Sintra audio tour used this app. It kept on freezing every other minute and asking for single use activation code. We gave up after wasting time for 10-15 minutes. I am on iPhone 14 Pro Max with good LTE connectivity and don’t have any issues with the performance of other apps.
Good content. Lots of nags and terrible nav
Content is good—used it in Sintra. But the app constantly nags for ratings and feedbacks in the middle of a tour. Whoever thought pop-ups are a good UX also made the navigation elements on iOS non-standard and tiny, off on the edges of the screen. A simple website with a playlist would be vastly superior. (And more secure for the content. Exfiltrating the audio is trivial the way it’s packaged.)
Super appli
Code issues
I can’t comment on the quality of the app itself as I could not get it to work. It was supposed to be used for audio on a museum tour. I received an error entering the code provided and when I tried again I was told that the code had already been used.
Sintra
Super helpful app!
Great app! Would be fantastic if all museums started using it - would male museum visits much easier and simpler to arrange.
Not reliable
Product not reliable / kept freezing and needing to be reset.
Technical issues
The app crashes a lot. Downloading in advance is too slow. Streaming doesn't work when most of the palace has no cell phone reception. The audio guide was very short compared to how long it took to get through the palace.
The in app purchase would not download
I tried multiple times to download the in app purchase. It would not work.
Cumbersome
This app could be a lot simpler with a more effective interface. As someone who has used personal tour guides before, I didn’t find information in the app to be comprehensive. Overall disappointing experience
Toda la cultura en mi bolsillo!
Gran descubrimiento.
better off not using it
used this app in sintra, portugal, and it kept glitching and shutting down. it was so stressful that we would’ve been better off reading the info signs instead.
Badly coded download
The app does not cache the downloaded content and starts again from the beginning at the slightest interruption (such as a bad connection or wanting to take a photo or getting a phone call)! Make sure you “start tour” when you have a reliable Internet connection… like the evening before at the hotel!
Bon guide
It is 2023 and developer is still not able to provide presumable downloads
For an app that is supposed to be used in crowded tourist attractions with spotty connectivity and WiFi service the download start over again and again if for some reason the connection is interrupted. Extremely frustrating. Also if app loses focus that downloads start from scratch. This is unacceptable. Bought the downloads but was not able to even download one.
Poor execution doesn’t allow audio-only
I got this app and bought the guide for Pena Palace in Sintra, Portugal. The guide forces you to have it open and active. You cannot turn off your screen and put phone in pocket. You cannot switch to camera, you cannot do anything other than listen while holding the phone up in front of you. Very invasive and ruins the experience, not to mention draining phone battery.
