Adoro, é muito simples e muito funcional! O suporte ao cliente é rápido e eficaz, funciona tudo perfeitamente!
Not reliable
The app is not up to date and shows incorrect incoming location of trains. Almost missed a train due to the app being wrong. Do not trust!

2025 - dramatically improved!
Almost didn’t download this app because of the terrible rating and comments, but it has been hugely improved since whenever those were written. Ticket selection and passenger information entry was easy, payment by both credit card and PayPal are accepted, and the tickets can be added to Apple Wallet for ease of use when taking the train. Zero problems!

Please have the app tested by some of your friends and they will tell you how bad it and what to amend. 1. Buy Tickets (should show at all time) 2. Schedule (usfull) 3. You seem to concentrate on my trips

Gosto da aplicação uso frequentemente. Deixo três melhorias relativas às funcionalidades que mais uso que tornariam a utilização da app muito mais agradável - Funcionalidade Cartão CP funcionar offline -Na compra de um bilhete com desconto ter disponível o número do passe CP para preencher (ou ser mais uma das configurações preenchidas na página de perfil) - Bilhetes adicionados à Apple Wallet permanecem eternamente- bilhetes de avião são removidos - deve haver uma forma de fazer o mesmo
Needs more customer discovery
It’s an OK product in need of real customer feedback. Feels a bit like it was built by a team that either couldn’t talk to customers or wasn’t permitted to do so. It’s got potential. It would go even better if they opened up an api for developers to use to help with train tracking, forecasting, and schedules. It might take some of the pressure off this team who probably had more than this app to handle. Great work and I hope they can speak with customers to get better testing data in their hands!
Funcionalidades
Aplicação deveria permitir a compra de bilhetes para urbanos, na linha do Norte, sem limite de 15 minutos antes da partida. O q adianta poder comprar o bilhete na app, se chego à estação 10 minutos antes da partida, quando as máquinas de bilhetes não funcionam? Os bilhetes no Apple Wallet deveriam ter data de expiração, para serem removidos de forma automática, tal como a os bilhetes de avião. O passe verde poderia ser integrado na Apple Wallet, dessa forma a verificação seria mais rápida (que abrir a app), visto q nos inter-cidades o revisor apenas pede para ver o passe verde.
Worked Absolutely Fine
Registered and bought my tickets with no issue whatsoever. App was worked fast and was quite intuitive.
App needs improvement
The CP app is extremely glitchy and unreliable. Given that many train stations lack appropriate information for travelers regarding arriving and departures a working app would be a great resource . My advice: print your tickets or save them to apple wallet if you have an iPhone . Don’t trust the app you keep your tickets or give you guidance .
Profile saving for additional passenger is missing. Train status is useful: but not 100% correct.
Old app would store additional travellers & allow ticket purchase for them. That is gone. “Real time” train status very useful but not 100 percent reliable. I have missed trains posted as 20 minutes late which were only 4 minutes late. The following are mostly-fixed problems from the premature buggy new version release in Autumn 2025: 1. Will not accept LETTERS as part of Residency card number 2. Will not accept my NIF 3. Nationality list does not have E.U.A. (or any other version of the name)
So poor
Why to give the number of passengers to search for trains? Why a recent arrival gets invisible just a moment after arrival? Why no booking of a ticket until (real time) departure? And so much more...

Won’t open
Terrible! Told by CP that employees to use only this app since I had another ticking app open. Well, the one I had open works! All I get from CP is the green page with the logo. I did register. But unable to look for information!
(Almost) fully functional app - better than website
I live in Portugal and ride CP from time to time, and often use the app to book. This review is about the app, not the train experience. (iPhone 13 Pro w/ iOS16) App works properly for booking. The UI is well-designed. You will get prices for both 1st and 2nd class in your search results (CP website does not, and only provides the price for the class of service you searched for.) App quickly displays all options for a given route and shows travel time for each in the list of results. You can click a specific train and see where it stops. Ticketing is straightforward, though a little laborious with all the info they require. The app may or may not function w Apple Wallet, idk because I don't care about that. The ticket displays in the app which you can show the personnel to scan. Don't be deterred from getting this app even if you're just visiting Portugal and may never use it again. It's also good just to quickly see your options - you can purchase at the station from an attendant very easily. The app works well - disregard all the haters here. (And yes, you cannot buy a ticket within 15 mins of departure. That is not an app failure; that is a silly CP policy that they should change.)
Looks new, works worse. Test it with customers.
I’ve been a CP customer for more than 20 years and have always found the website and app hard to use. When I saw the new versions announced, I honestly thought things would finally get better. At first glance, the new app looks nicer and more modern, but when I tried to use it, I found even more problems than before. It really feels like no one tested this with real customers. Everything seems decided from the top down, without listening to the people who actually use the service every day. My suggestion: start by talking to your customers. Watch how they use the app, understand where they struggle, and fix those issues first. That’s how real improvement begins.

App works fine but I recommend signing up for an account on the website first. A bit convoluted but simple enough if you apply some patience.

Mostly works great
Works as it should and easy to use. I do really wish they would fix the “add to Apple Wallet” button though. But not a deal breaker.
A lot of issues in the new version
The previous app was ugly but functional. Now you cannot buy promo tickets, you simply cannot select the promo option when you buy them in advance. Please fix that urgently as it is preventing me from buying them.
It works but still no iPhone wallet
If they don’t have Wallet functionality, why even have the button? It’s very frustrating, and means I can’t just buy a ticket for my wife and have her travel without me.

The previous problems must have been fixed. Worked fine for me on a recent trip, including adding my tickets to my Apple wallet. Does everything I’d expect from the app.
Horrible App
I live in Portugal and both the app and website are terrible. They never work correctly. Today I tried and I cannot select the class of seat. So it won’t pull up my search. Get rid of whoever is building your interfaces.

It’s worse than before
While I applaud app developers who are trying to improve their app, this recent update took two steps backwards. The app fails to recognize any stations near me and can’t even give me a regular train schedule. It can’t find Cais do Sodre! And why is the first input ask for “Destination” but when I type in it switches to departure? The new UX is terrible. The old app was poor in terms of UX but at least it worked!
Good, but …
This is much better than the website, but no matter what I do to add the tickets to Apple Wallet, I get “communication error” and it doesn’t add them. Fix this and I’ll change to 5 stars because otherwise it’s great.
Does what it should with one small glitch
So many silly reviews bash this app because it doesn't work with Apple wallet. That's true but it doesn't diminish the apps overall utility as tickets are easily available in the app. The app does what it should - you can find trains easily, see time tables, buy and see your tickets. It interfaces well with the website so tickets purchased on the site appear in the app.
Can’t eve create an account
Can’t create an account because United States of America (USA) / Estados Unidos da America (EUA) citizenship and country of residency is not available to choose from.
Very good with small bugs
Very good app! Surprised by the simplicity and efficiency! Just a remark: the warning mentioning the user should input the ID (his national id number) is not clear about what it is and it doesn’t mention where the user should save it. Besides that just a small bug in the ticket where user sees the connections.
De mal a pior
Fiz hoje update da app e acho que foi de mal a pior. Acho que o controle de qualidade devia estar a dormir. Primeiro, no decorrer de marcação de uma viagem ida e volta apareceu-me ambos os comboios na mesma direção na página de confirmação. Fui para a frente na mesma, na esperança de que fosse só um bug. No final, quando já acabei a compra, que foram de 2 bilhetes de ida e volta, quando tento adicionar à Wallet, só aparece o bilhete de ida de um passageiro e de volta do outro passageiro. Fui fazer outra reserva que incluía um Inter-cidades e transbordo para suburbano, a app não dava para comprar (sem mensagem de erro nenhuma). Fui ao site e a mensagem de erro era que não podia comprar aquele bilhete. Pensei que fosse por estar esgotado, dado que não deram detalhes, e escolhi primeira classe. A mesma coisa. Removi o comboio suburbano e marquei só o IC, e já deu. Ou seja, mensagens de erro que realmente ajudem o utilizador, nepia.
Pode comprar bilhete mas não pode usar Wallet em iOS
Foi me possível comprar o bilhete usando o PayPal, correu tudo sem problemas. O bilhete seguiu para o meu email. O único senão é que não permite utilizar o iOS Wallet, mas nada de grave e sempre se poupa o ambiente! Recomendado, ainda mais se os erros forem corrigidos.
Funciona bem
Hoje 19 de Agosto de 2019 comprei um bilhete de Lisboa Oriente para Faro. Instalei a aplicação e funcionou muito bem. Aplicação muito intuitiva e fácil de usar. Recomendo!!!!

Absolutely ridiculous - there is no option to register a US address or phone
UX/UI needs work
The booking process needs major revamping. For instance, why does one need to pay before seat selection? And the seat selection map is disorganized and the actual seat selection process doesn’t work.

A funcionalidade “Add to Apple Wallet) não está a funcionar, surge sempre uma mensagem de erro. É uma funcionalidade que deviam manter. Contactado o vosso suporte, a primeira coisa que defenderam do princípio ao fim (até mesmo antes de ler o que tinha para dizer), era que a app estava a funcionar normalmente e que é um problema da Apple Wallet e não da CP.

Update Ruined the App
Since the update I can no longer purchase tickets using the mobile app. The process gets stuck on the page asking for passenger data. It doesn’t allow me to complete the purchase.

In the newer iPhones the UI is all messed up. Doesn’t have that design that makes you want to use the app... but it has the the functionality... so it’s not all bad.
