Great but would be better without subscriptions
This app is amazing but it would just be better without subscriptions because I’m trying to turn my iPad into a computer but I don’t want to pay money just to have unlimited tabs… great app though
Interesting concept…
I like the idea of a desktop environment for iPadOS. Will need to use to give a full evaluation. REVIEW UPDATE: primarily a google desktop environment, and I use a different app for that.
issues
its a good concept but the lag and unresponsiveness is outrageous. plus why when i put an app or browser in full screen mode the dock doesnt hide or go down, and theres no setting to make that happen
This should’ve been made a feature like this a long LONG time ago.
It felt like a MacBook and I never had a MacBook. I’m trying to replace as a laptop. I love every bit of this, the multitasking, the desktop feature, it’s a life saver and a game changer.

Deceptive Marketing
The product description and marketing video make it seem like you can run multiple programs like a multi-tasking windows environment. But as far as I can tell, you can’t run ANY native applications (or installed apps). You can just open, resize, and move browser tabs. Which I suppose is cool in itself, but hardly the promise implied by the snazzy video. Disappointed.
Sadly, not useful.
I used to have a great review on this. Now, apple has made their own improved version of window management on iPad, (iPadOS 26) and it’s just that apple has created something that can do equivalent things, without having to pay the price. If your iPad can update only up to 18 or else, this app is a great app for you. I’m just saying, this is only a good app for non-supported devices. If you’re someone just trying to find a good app, I’m sorry for the long review.
Nice
It gets the job done well I wanted my iPad to look like a desktop and it does that
Need drag and drop onto the desktop.
Need drag and drop pics onto the desktop and it would be perfect.
Nice but buggy
It tends to crash every now and then, and really needs a taskbar hiding feature, also userscripts would be nice as that would allow me to set up an adblock
Now Don’t waste money on a Mack book pro
Why spend $3000 when you can get an iPad for $800 and plus you can get this app for free although you could get a subscription
Good but you need to pay for most of the things
It’s good but you need a subscription to open downloaded files
修复Bug
Good
I think it is really cool but can you add a stopwatch, timer and a notes/drawing app please but over all very good app
Best thing I’ve ever seen.
This is obviously the best app
Cool but $25 CAD/year
It’s a great app with lots of potential for people like me looking for a desktop experience on the iPad. I would pay once for life. Not a subscription.
Notion isn’t desktop version
This has potential but I downloaded it to be able to use the desktop version of notion.so however it’s still the mobile version 😐. Could you fix that or is this something only notion can fix?
Love it!
This app is really good for productivity. It gives your iPad a really similar feeling to a MacBook with the added benefit of the touch screen. The app works well both a keyboard and the Apple Pencil. There’s quite a few features that I’d love to see get added but overall the app is really worth it!

Limited to web apps only
This is no different than split screen on the iPad, except for the fact that this can only run web apps and most of a functionalities are locked behind a paywall
Almost like a Chromebook on your iPad
I’ve always loved using my iPad, but when I’m on the road, I’ve often found myself reaching for a Chromebook instead. Chromebooks handle multitasking better, especially when juggling Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) and other tasks. The latest version of iOS has definitely made progress toward better multitasking, but it still doesn’t quite match the feel of a real desktop. That’s where Lok Board comes in. It’s a game-changer for anyone who wants more out of their iPad. I’d call it a "WebKit OS for iPad," similar to how ChromeOS works on a Chromebook. It turns your iPad into something much closer to a virtual desktop, making it feel more like a proper computer. One of the best things about Lok Board is how well it handles PWAs. If you’ve been running PWAs on a Chromebook, you’ll find they work just as smoothly on Lok Board’s virtual desktop. It’s perfect for managing emails, organizing projects, or even running lightweight productivity apps all in one place. No, Lok Board doesn’t completely replace the need for a desktop, but it comes pretty close. If you’re someone who loves their iPad but wishes it could multitask better or support PWAs like a Chromebook, this app is worth checking out. It’s a big step in making the iPad not just a fantastic tablet, but also a solid option for getting work done on the go.
A lil clunky
Just Saying
Make stuff free
Hi, just another user of the app. I have no problem using the application but, I’ve noticed that a lot of the features are locked behind a subscription service, which really doesn’t make sense like why do we have to pay for being able to open more than 3 windows? Really I think the only reason this app deserves 3-stars is because it has the potential to give iPad users a computer experience but sadly to access most of the features you have pay. How about making more thing free?
Nice
Guilded access is the best for thos app
Oh my god so good for my Apple display
This is amazing when am going through my apps like YouTube, Duolingo (I have a Spanish lesson even tho I already know Spanish) it’s good when I have keyboard mouse and stuff and I can stream Fortnite on Xbox cloud gaming and go on with the iPad laptop ish experience am just so amazed right now I never thought this ever existed til I found it on the App Store but there’s a subscription

We need this
iPad users desperately need and deserve this… wonderful interface, only wish there was a option to permanently buy vs. subscribe, also would be curious if there would ever be an option to download and emulate macOS/ Linux/ windows based apps like Blender or Unreal engine. - Pierce, Game artist and developer
Amazing app! 🚀
Apple should learn from this excellent app. Multi tasks and webs work as laptop exactly.
