Ridiculous system
No internet in store but you need internet to enter, purchase & leave…. Utter chaos

The buy now button is very easy to miss click, I’ve had to cancel two orders, I was just scrolling
Needs offline mode
Useful but the digital card needs wi-fi to work. The app should get an update to allow for your membership card to be shown in airplane mode, without a signal, or added to apple wallet. Having to walk to the exit and leave your stuff at the checkout to find a phone signal isn’t fun… Or just provide WiFi in store…
New to the app
I would like to make a few suggestions to the app such as a language settings such as Chinese , Spanish and French etc as it would facilitate the use of the use for multiple users and perhaps a feedback section in the app too which would be useful.
Inefficient system
Horrible idiotic registration system!
Sept 2025 the app just doesn’t work - turns out that I was using a VPN which stopped it working
I thought that the app and website were down. It turns out t had I had a VPN turned on which stopped it working
Apple wallet
Give up apple wallet card. I hate to instal your app just to show my membership.
Please add Dark Mode.
App works fine and convenient not having to carry membership card (unless you need fuel). Please add dark mode option to the app.
No validation code
Email signed up but the verification email doesn't have a code??
Auto Renew Now
I tried doing auto renewal through the app using a new Credit Card but seems useless. I wonder if I have made multiple payments since I had to retry several times. I also registered my my new address as I just moved.
Missed opportunity
The app stores customers digital membership card which you need to show in the wear house for entry and purchase. The problem is that it needs connectivity to show the membership. Our Costco store doesn't have mobile coverage by the tills. There are long queues at the tills made even longer by not being able to show your membership store without walking back to the exit where there is mobile single and running back to the till so they can scan your card. Why not allow the card to be displayed in the app without needing a connection, or give us the option to save the card to the apple wallet, or provide guest wifi access for customers. It's a painful experience currently. Hopefully the feedback can be listened to and is useful.
Terrible.
Need mobile signal to access your membership card to gain entry and pay in store at the Chester store, problem is there’s absolutely no signal in the store and no WIFI access. Staff are utterly hopeless and told me to drive down to road to get mobile signal!
Cannot retrieve orders
When I try and access orders from a month ago it says Failed to load orders
Basically useless until you forget your card
For an app in 2025, this app is basically pointless unless you shop online or need to use the digital card. The app like redirecting back to their webpage in the app then what’s the point the app. And you cant even add your card to apple wallet when most costco you usually have no signal to even open the app. You cant see your visit history or have e-receipts.
Apps Never work!!
Ask for email validation code but the Apps Never send any code, instead it sends you an email telling you someone using your email to register!!! It's me the customer trying to register this Apps. I click resend few times but it Never send customer any code to validate!!! This Apps Full of bugs, developers need to rewrite it from ground up!!!
Update crashes
Second update Ive made and both times the update hangs before completing. Cannot cancel the update like you are able to with any other app - not sure why. Reloaded update and Costco install still shows not complete but app works🤔
Terrible APP
I have tried everything to get my card onto my phone and the APP claims information is incorrect when it isn’t. Pointless!
Cannot Access Digital Card
It will not me photograph myself so I can register my digital card. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled- still nothing
Impossible Digital Membership
Costco has mastered the impossible. I can buy a 5 kg tub of peanut butter, a kayak, and a coffin in one trip, but apparently registering for a digital membership is where technology draws the line. Every attempt ends with the wonderfully motivational message: “Impossible to register to Digital membership!” At least the app is honest. It doesn’t say “Something went wrong.” It looks me in the eye and says, “Impossible.” If this is a feature, congratulations, it works flawlessly.
Only for digital card and auto renewal
Not really useful, can’t find the product what I am looking for, not easy to search for an item.
Cannot checkout
Went to renew my membership on the app and able to login just fine. When trying to checkout and adding card details, it sends a request to your bank to approve the request, however no matter how many times you try and approve the Costco app says it’s “unable to verify”. Absolutely useless and a waste of time.
What a shame of app
This is a time waster, I don’t understand how such a big company could have such a bad app. In my case I updated the password 4 times, but still tells me the password is incorrect, when an email tells me it’s been updated. Totally useless
Waste app
I have been trying to reset my password for last three days. No customer care representative is picking up my call either
