Amazing interface with some qualms
The graphics are amazing and true to the physical board game. The way you can scroll around the board is really cool. The game prompts play and actions well. The only complaints are your guys can just disappear if you don’t drop it right and you can’t go back to review the game play. Otherwise, amazing game love playing it on here.
Screen is too small & bad controls
The fact that you read more than play, and the worker dragging feature that's extremely imprecise annoys me to no end; even with $100 mouse on a Desktop (also assuming I use it as well as a FPS game champion), I could argue that dragging can occasionally be annoyingly imprecise. Don't buy this game unless you play it on a large Notebook screen minimum, with a mouse.
Won’t play anymore
Thoroughly enjoyed this app until a recent update added a card that lets the AI swap hands down with you. Will absolutely not play this game until the option to remove that card is added. This effect has never been part of Everdell, and it is an unwelcome and unfun inclusion. Crafting a plan to play a card in your hand, only to have it randomly stolen? It’s not even interesting.
Too many bugs
This is mine and my wife’s favorite game. We were so stoked to find out there’s a phone version we can play. But there are far too many bugs to make it worth playing. Not worth the money. Hope the fix the bugs.
Bad UI
Unintuitive to have to drop the character on the space instead of point your finger at the space. The game clearly understands dragging your finger over the cards, since it highlights them as you do so, but doesn’t bring up the card display unless you individually tap on them. Super awkward that you can’t see all the spaces at once — I spent a huge chunk of the game forgetting that there’s a 3-wood space since it was slightly off-screen. Just overall wildly too heavily in favour of making it “pretty” rather than readable and playable. I could go for ages in the failings of the UI. The game functions, so no complaints there, but just so awkward and unpleasant to control and read.
Best $10 spent
Been wanting to purchase everdell. This was an affordable method to see if I would like it. Took me 10 losses to start winning
No expansions
A new expansion Bellfaire was launched today, but you are unable to purchase it in the app, pressing the button does nothing, so the expansion is unable to be played
Cool but some things I noticed
Cool, with good signals to help you know who which cards you have available. That’s helpful with the ares being so small. Oddly enough though, I felt playing the physical board game came easier.
Slow/ bug
The game has been great so far but lately it was too slow and there are bugs (eg playing post office doesnt work even if other player have capacity to receive 2 catds, chip sweep doesnt activate production card in city). We love this game but it just sucks lately :( I hope this get fixed because we don’t want to stop playing this
Nice but ripping people off with the latest expansion
A nice game, well-adapted. Unfortunately, they’re ripping people off with the Bellfaire expansion by not letting those who have purchased it share a game with those who haven’t. Even purchase sharing with family members seems to be disabled for this latest expansion. Emailed support but, naturally, never received a reply…
Great game but hair trigger swiping
Great game. Important issue with the app: by tapping a card you view it. But even a slightly wrong tap will play that card without being able to undo the move. Every player in our group had multiple misplays — aka accidental moves. Frustrating. GAME MAKER: PLEASE ALLOW FOR UNDO OR CONFIRM FOR CARD SWIPES.
Recent Bug Fix
With the latest bug fix we were not able to create a friends match at all. I had to reinstall the game to correct that issue….NOW our legendary cards and extra cards are not being activated at all in the matches. CAN Someone help? We reinstalled the game again and it still did not correct the problem. We need help! My husband and my account are glitched and not showing the extras.
Great game but….
Great game but could use more sensitivity/calibration closer to the actual spot you want your character to go onto. I’ve played about 20 games in the last 3 days
Glitches
I love this game but there are a lot of glitches. Needs an update.
Good graphics
Good graphics, and runs smoothly but needs a better way to see cards in hand and the events. Clicking each card is exhausting. And like many have commented, NEEDS an undo button. I played a card I thought I had enough for but really I needed to swap a resource but I could no longer see the card so I just had to rely on the dropdown to guess at what I wanted to swap until it worked. I would not recommend this game for a phone, but it is workable on a tablet.
Love
I absolutely love this world. I’d be excited if they brought the expansions along for the ride.
Stole my money
I previously bought the Gimmergold expansion within the app, but when I uninstalled and later redownloaded the app, I no longer had the expansion. This is a very silly oversight by QA, they should have been aware of this issue!
Fantastic port of a fantastic game!
This is a beautiful rendition of Everdell which is already breathtaking! Anyone who likes the tabletop and wants more of it needs to jump on this. My one gripe is that there’s NO UNDO or confirm turn button. This can kill a whole game! One accidental swipe can lock in an unintentional move and there’s nothing the player can do about it. The UI is pretty and functional, but on a phone screen it’s way too easy to try to move the screen and accidentally place a worker. This is a major flaw for a game that depends almost entirely on careful planning and execution. Please, please, PLEASE add an undo button or a confirm turn button! I’ve had to resign too many games because an accidental move got locked in.
Please, please, please hire a UI Designer
Decent adaptation but bugs and UI pitfalls galore. Want to choose your player avatar in a multiplayer? Can’t start a friend match, that’d be too easy. Instead, you have to create a game then have your friend join (hopefully before someone else joins, which can be avoided by creating a password but at that point it’s too many steps). Want to examine a thing? Sometimes you have to click the same button to minimize, sometimes you have to select outside the item. It’s a very inconsistent experience. If the Devs want to reach out, I can put together a very long list of UI improvements. Simple things like no cursor or keyboard appearing when logging in really take away from the experience. What should be a lovely game has an element of frustration stemming from navigating the UI or finding bugs. (For example, the text instruction after playing the ranger card is cut off.)
Great game with clumsy controls
The developers have done a great job of replicating the game in digital form. But for the controls, it would get 5 stars. Right now, it’s far too easy to play something by mistake and get completely punished due to the lack of any undo button! If that could be added along with a confirm option at end of turn, then the review will jump up to 5 stars.

Bug Fix Please!
Love the game. Just bought the expansion. It doesn’t score correctly. Just recently I played a castle that should have been worth 4 plus 4 extra and it gave me 2 total points. This is not the first time it’s happened either, Something is wrong. Please fix!
Made me better
This app has majorly upgraded my irl game play. I love it for how accessible it has made Everdell to all my friends and family. Buuuuuut it has some major glitches when it comes to the expansion. Also none of the irl expansions are included so it would be much better if it had the real expansions (I.e. bellefaire, new line, pearlbrook, spirecrest)
Needs undo
Hear me out. I love Everdell and I love this digital adaptation. But when you zoom in on the meadow and it mistakes the gesture for “I want to play Woodcarver even though I have zero wood” we have a big problem. Please implement undo like you did with Everdell. For the love of God 😭. Also I’m having trouble thinking of a worse bug than being unable to see the end of a game because someone automatically started another game with you.
To easy to miss click and waste your turn
Love the board game. You definitely need a back button to fix mistakes and miss clicks when you are trying to scroll the screen.

Great adaptation of an amazing game, but I wish more Everdell expansions were released. In Root Digital, you guys pump out high quality expansions regularly, and I always get them as soon as they are released. I wish Everdell also got the same attention, it has many interesting expansions, and I definitely would be interested in adding them to my DireWolf collection.
Server issues galore
They cannot in good faith keep selling this game to new people who will not get good use out of it because the servers are essentially dead. There’s a group of us that continue to play and probably got good use out of our money for the time, the game was functioning, but now the servers are not supported, and we are constantly getting kicked out of games And then when you try to return, you can’t return to the game. It is beyond frustrating to start a game and then just be kicked out. If you wanna play solo, you might have some fun but if you wanna play with others, you’re being scammed out of your money because the servers are not supported.
Please add more!

it’s usable but clunky. Errors on what can b achieved. It’s frustrating not seeing a player board at a glance like the meadow.
Could use some upgrades
Game should have an undo option for every turn not involving revealing cards. All online games have this so disappointed that this does not. Also can very easily accidentally play a card when you’re only trying to read it, and you can easily accidentally play a player easily in the wrong spot, then can’t redo it. Had to restart the game six times before I figured out how precise you have to be. So a frustrating experience when you’re trying to learn

Error driving me MAD
Got this as I wanted to test before getting the board game ... I'd me loving it if it were not for the sizing on my I phone. One of the goals in the tree was shopkeeper and post office to trade up to three resources for double in victory coin... but the resource I want to exchange (wood) is blocked out by the confirmation/ cancel buttons and I can't complete. It's so incredibly annoying and makes it impossible to play. Please fix it as I have first world rage 😂

Constant server crashes
Servers crash often surrendering your turn or even the whole entire game. Imagine playing all the way into autumn and then the game being trashed because you are locked out of the server… not worth a purchase
Great but iPad mini UI
Could use some ui scaling functionality for iPad mini. And an undo button but I’m enjoying!
Too fiddly to be enjoyable
I love the physical board game Everdell, so was excited to get the app. I’m really struggling to play it though: so much zooming in and out to see different parts of the screen and the detail on the cards. Some of the info displayed on the screen can end up obscuring objects/locations, depending on how you have it zoomed. I also don’t like the way the cards lose their names once you’ve played them into your town. I find myself constantly having to click on things or enlarge them in order to remind myself what they are, and then hold that in memory while I try to work out if anything else on the screen will work well with them. All in all, very frustrating, which is a shame, as it’s absolutely beautiful to look at.
Beautiful but buggy
Gorgeous and mostly quite good, but sometimes a worker ends up in a different spot than I went for, there is no way to restructure your turn mid-turn, and the Judge will just stop working if you have an Architect and less than 6 resin/stone.
Update Bugs
My wife and I Love this game. We spend several hours playing throughout the week. With this latest update however, it somehow disabled the legendary card and bonus card purchases. We want the extras we paid for back please.

App shows loading indicator to go to game results, but never shows the results.
Super fun but gets repetitive quickly
I love Everdell! I just wish they would add more expansions as it gets really repetitive pretty quickly. Also, it would be great if they would add a button to confirm you would like to proceed before playing a card or meeple.
Very annoying adaptation
Won’t let you skip character abilities you *may* trigger such as the judge. Very very very annoying. Shame as the rest of the game seems like a good adaptation.
Good but would be great with some simple improvements
I am new to the game and enjoy it though the beginning of lost games feel very random as tactics don’t seem to come into play for a season or two. It is good that you have a flower icon which displays the meadow cards but it is very difficult to see the cards in my hand. It would be helpful to have an icon to see that as well (or even instead of the meadow as you can just zoom in on the meadow but you can’t with your hand, you have to click on each card individually). This probably doesn’t bother season players that know the cards but newer players need to read the blurb. Also, the music is a little tedious. Compare it to the background score on Wingspan and you’ll see what I mean. The artwork and the design of the game is lovely and a bit more love in the music and this could become a really fun nature based game
Create Game
The latest update has made the create game feature network very well. Hovering over events now requires a long depression. Creating a game with friends is near impossible. If you are able to create a game, the legendary and rug wart cards are gone. love the game been playing for years would like to see potentially the addition of the Everdell expansions.

Smooth and clean (w/a caveat)
This app is very smooth and interacts very seamlessly locally and online. Great color and visuals. We have the analog version of the board game and this is like the arena equivalent to MTG. Works like a charm. There are a couple quirks with some of the cards if you don’t play them in the exact sequence they would go ideally (stacking, occupying, free cards, etc.) but it’s a once in several playthroughs type of thing. Also, it can be a bit small and hard to read if it’s on your phone. Several of us downloaded to tablets because our phones couldn’t handle the small text and images. It’s a 4/5 for me. But a STRONG 4. We’ll not get bored of this anytime soon.
