Great Coverage
I really love having Northwest as my main bank. Everyone is so kind when you enter any of their branches. I use to be an undercover person for NW. Filling out paperwork about employees mailing it in and actually getting paid. It was great . Going into the bank and pretending to need help for different things like buying a house, asking about savings and other things. I know that Northwest is a wonderful Bank. And I’m glad that they look out for my account for any suspicious behavior that could be going on. I feel comfortable and safe that my earnings are in the care of NW…( The bank may have been under Lorain National Bank when I did my undercover work:) But that just says how long I have been with the bank.
The worst mobile check deposit ever
In 2026, why is it so bad??? I routinely have to retake them 5x.

It would be nice if the app would work as you turn the screen sideways on an iPad.
Maintenance every night
There is no reason to have maintenance every night at 9 to not allow transfers. Why not change that till the middle of the night?
Stop asking for reviews each time I use the app.

Worst UI. Won't give enough info. Payment due dates are confusing. Won't alert for late payments. Customer service won't answer calls. Won't call back despite requesting a callback.

The bank needs some better devs. The app works and gets the job done but the UI/UX isn’t great changing between screens is slow and login often has issues
Check deposit camera is infuriating
The check deposit camera does not work easily and is too sensitive to the background and sometimes does not work at all.
North West Bank!
Not too bad. Their Zelle kinda stinks. They hit me with limits all the time. Other than that it works good. I really just want them to stop asking me to leave a review. Super annoying.

Logging in is always such a process compared to other banking apps. Feels like you work harder to keep your customers out of it rather than the real fraudsters
App always stuck
This app has significantly gotten worse year after year. Now the app just freezes when I go to login. Have done every stupid human trick restarting phone, etc. it’s just a recurring thing for the northwest bank to have the worst app and interface for years now. It’s like the IT company is trying to make customers leave the bank. I know I should have left years ago.

It is VERY DIFFICULT TO get the check in the proper condition to take a picture.

This app is horrid in its fashion of logging in and managing money. My Face ID doesn’t work anymore, my automatic password fill asks me twice every time I log in if I want to switch accounts or change something and I have to click ignore just to maintain my login progress, and every two or three weeks I am unable to transfer money between accounts at instant speed because there’s “a lot of traffic” and everybody is “working behind the scenes to make things right.” Yeah ok.
Back of check picture issue
Using iPhone taking a picture of deposit is quick and easy - but for a while now take a picture of the back of the check is difficult I cannot figure out why or how it is different when taking a picture of the back of a check - it takes more than several tries of hitting cancel when in the camera screen and then going back into the button for back of the check picture - it can be frustrating- eventually it works but it takes sometimes as many as 4 tries for it take the picture
Mobile Deposit Lacking
The mobile deposit utility needs work. I am a contractor. I deposit several checks a week. The check capture utility is inconsistent., Sometimes I need to leave the app and return in order to get a photo capture. Come on folks we can do better.

What Happened
Up until this latest update I’ve had no problems with this app whatsoever at all. Now, every time that I try to login using the biometrics, it’s saying that I’ve entered invalid information so when I try to enter my password, it also says that is invalid! Very frustrating!

The sign is process is terrible. It won’t let you do “remember your password” where it auto fills and it won’t enable Face ID. The app needs a lot of work.

Mobile Deposit
For whatever reason, every time I do a mobile deposit it does not let me take a picture of the check. I have to tap the screen to take a picture 50 times before it captures the image.

Constantly Broken/Under Maintenance
Just as the title says. They SERIOUSLY need to fire whoever built and maintains this app and hire some professionals.

Bill pay
I think it’s ridiculous and completely unfair that I cannot use Bill pay.
Paying bills is hard
Have car loan through this bank instead of “pay on account” it has a confusing bank transfer option.

They’re so helpful with me because of my stroke and they’re so understanding. So helpful.
North-worst Customer Service is harder to navigate than the app
I am a new customer and not having the best experience. The app was tough to maneuver. In trying to set up auto payment it didn’t work for me (user error). I talked to customer service the first time and he was helpful. He shared a lot of info but missed an important detail. I called today to get help. O was on hold forever, selected the callback feature and got no call back then I called again to speak with two agents that could not help. I’m stuck here for the dilution of my loan that is just getting started. I’m very disappointed.
