App Crashes
App crashes every time I click on any account and scroll down even a bit. It just freezes and crashes and I have to reopen and it does it again. I can only see previous charges by manually searching specific items. This has been a bug for at least 4-5 months now...
Great with one exception
Really appreciate the ease of use and operability of this app. However, not sure why when depositing a paper check recently I had to try scanning about a hundred times because the green lines jump all over the place and won’t line up no matter how steady I hold the camera. Never did this before and I haven’t changed anything on my end.
Viewing issues after latest update
Could the top bar in the app be made smaller? It takes up almost a third of my screen and I am left with a smaller area to view my accounts. It makes it difficult to see more than 4 accounts at a time when I used to be able to see a lot more. Other than that the app has had few bugs through the years, 2 stars is due to the recent update making the viewable area too small. Also, please remove the ACH:Payment, ACH:Deposit, etc. from in front of transactions in my accounts. I cannot read where the transaction originated and it is making it very difficult to track expenses quickly. Will change to 5 stars if these items get fixed in a later update
Broken
Takes forever to load, sometimes doesn’t, have to close and try again.
Access and Functionality
All aspects are easy. Simple uncomplicated transitions between tasks.
New login problem
I’m greatly frustrated that I’m forced to read another long agreement before I’m given access after updating. …and on top of it the new agreement states that I agree to anything they ever add without a loophole to withdraw consent if I ever want to. I don’t have access to a browser tonight, so I’m forced to wait until tomorrow. Don’t upgrade until you have a few hours to work through it!
Great app except for depositing checks
The app is great and I love how accessible it is the only thing that is a constant struggle is when I need to deposit a paper check. I struggle as a blind person in getting all of the sides lined up even with the automatic picture feature it seems like it can consistently get the front but never the back.
Not Happy with the Update
When an update says "we promise to make this painless" I don't expect to have to agree to a 20 page agreement, much less be locked out of viewing my accounts until I have the time to read it. I did it at a time when I couldn't access a browser... That is not painless!
Signing in with my PIN?
After the latest update it seems the log in option with your PIN is no longer available. What’s the reason for this?! Plus it seems slower.

Update is terrible
I update to the new digital service, and it is terrible. I used to be able to login in with my pin, now I have to use my password. Instead of my account popping up I get my mom’s I have to select mine. Somehow you managed to take an app and a service that worked great and made it suck.
Great credit union
App is easy to use and I never have problems with crashes or bugs. I appreciate being able to do all my banking without needing my laptop or to go to a physical location. I do wish there was an option to set up automatic payments on loans though.

Mobile Deposit Frustrations
A growing problem is how poorly PSECU handles mobile deposits. Holding checks for review for no reason, and hard to scan. Makes me ready to close my account!
Great Credit Union, Decent App
First off I’ll say that PSECU is an outstanding financial institution and as a customer for over a decade, I would highly recommend them to anyone. Their customer service is outstanding and easy to deal with. Applying and getting approved for loans is super easy and efficient. I could go on but you get the point. I do wish they would increase their savings rates faster given that they’re essentially an online institution. Alliant Credit Union offered rates higher than 4.5% for a long time before PSECU raised there’s above 0.5%. With regard to the app, it works well and has pretty much everything you need to do your mobile banking. Mobile deposits are quick and easy as well. I’m not a fan of the green and pink theme they’ve seemed to adopt over the last few years. I think it’s flat out gross and unappealing. I much preferred the black and orange, but that’s neither here nor there. Overall I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy reputable credit union that has great customer service; however if you’re looking for high yield accounts I would look at SoFi or Alliant Credit Union as their savings rates are over 3.5-4.5% right now (07/2025) and you don’t have to stick it into a CD where it’s locked for an extended amount of time. Lastly, I’m not sure if this is possible with a credit Union, but having savings buckets or vaults like Ally and SoFi do would be incredible! The digital envelope style of savings is such an awesome way to break up and categorize your money to help make saving much easier.
No Complaints
Easy to use.
Does not work when Developer Mode is on
This app does not work when developer mode is on. It gives an alert and immediately closes. I understand baking apps doing this for jailbroken devices , which my device is not, but for developer mode is absurd. As an app developer myself, I need this mode enabled on my iPhone. That’s how I make the money I deposit into the account lol. Most other banking apps do not block devices with developer mode on.

Loans
I have two loans that are autopay but neither gets paid, so every month I get past due notices. I’ve contacted PSECU but nothing was corrected. No call back after leaving my number either. It took 20 minutes to “find the right person” only to have the call dropped, again no call back. Frustrating.

I find this app very user-friendly, even for an old guy like me. So much easier than going to a bank somewhere..
Unstable and disappointing
More often than not, when I open the app on Apple’s current flagship phone, I receive the message “Sorry an error has occurred” and then it fails to load. Whoever PSECU used to develop this app (and the current web page launched a few years ago) should issue a complete refund for this disaster!
Helpful App for Banking
This is the easiest most convenient app for checking balances, transfers, autopay anything you have with your banking it’s simple to find and I’m glad I have this bank!
Great banking option!
I have a savings, Roth IRA and car loan through PSECU. I am very happy with their rates and service. Any time I need help or have a question, they are quick to respond. I recommend them for all your needs.
