Personal data demanded
Just wanted to collect some loyalty points and get a drink reward, no paying or ordering. Demands my name and date of birth. Likely they share and sell data. Ordered a drink and the server thanked me with my name. Asked if she got that from the app and she said yes. Nobody should be seeing my name and date of birth. Changed it to the short version of my name. Need 600 points for a Frappuccino but it’s mostly ice, they don’t even need to boil anything. Tried to use WiFi and it demands personal data like gender, date of birth and more- Costa doesn’t demand that.
Bit of a mess
Ordering is so complex! Why not offer me my 4 favourite stores to order from in town, rather than every one in a ten mile radius? Swapping a previous order from small to medium of large takes me to a complete drink edit menu - bit over kill. Easy to click around in the menu and lose my order completely. It feels designed by an engineer, not a UX team.
Use to be great
Been on this since it first started but it’s becoming more and more a ripoff, seems like every year now they change how many stars are required to maintain gold

App support link is broken. Cannot add payment method
I’m sitting in a Starbucks using their WiFi. Downloaded the app and tried to add credit card / debit card. I just get a general error saying “incorrect information”. There is no indication of which field is problematic. Maybe they haven’t updated their address database for 15 years? I have no idea. Tried contacting app support but just get an error saying “can’t connect to server”. Cannot see anywhere in the app to add QR code to Apple Wallet. Total failure.
Previous Order bug
In the latest release, customised orders are not showing correctly in the Order/Previous tab. My partner’s 1 shot skimmed latte, has reverted to 3 shots and semi-skimmed. Re-ordering from here now resulting in drinks having to be re-made. Suggest moving the Favourites tab (hidden from initial view) to the left, and giving it priority.
Missing ice
Favourites should be the first option, no one I have to scroll to. There’s options for various types of milk, but for those who have coffee black, would be useful to have an ice option. Then I can drink it without waiting 15 mins

Used to be a leader on the high street for its rich and great coffee taste. Last few years it has gone downhill. Coffee Taste sucks and customer service dreadful. I now go to Costa coffee or cafe Nero their coffee taste is very good. Even though I don’t agree with their prices

Took about 15 minutes for a 5 pound And wrong name Nina and lisa do not sound alike but the drink was very good not looking to go get another drink from that staff
The Best!!
I love this store, genuinely the happiest bunch of baristas and they all make perfect blends, I’m a fussy coffee drinker with quite niche tastes but they always get my weird and wonderful drinks absolutely spot on. Of all the many Starbucks I visit the consistency and quality here puts it at the top of my list.

Very disappointed in the greed of Starbucks sneaking the free cup to 600 stars, if 500 £50 wasn’t enough now you have to spend an extra £10

Horrible service and staff
Today I was in the Greenock Starbucks with my friends and we where sitting peacefully having a conversation at the chairs and we went to order a cake pop and they wouldn’t serve us anything and one of the staff members told us to clean up their floor and the staff member walked by us and smashed a glass right next to us and it cut two of my friends had

Won’t let me make an account, filled my email and password and it says that im signing in even though ive never made an account before?? And then it said that i need to activate my account first I am a bit confused

Unusable due franchises
Good luck using the Starbucks app - so many Starbucks in the UK are franchised and don’t accept it.
triple stars on first order
on 3/8/26, it gave me a notification saying that i’d get 3x stars on my first order when i used my scanner i did my first order using it today and spent £6.40, and as the typical number of stars per pound is £1=10⭐️, getting 3x i should’ve gotten 196 stars. however, that is not the case and i only got 64 stars from my purchase. it said on the notification that the offer was only valid up to seven days after it was sent; it’s only been 3. i’ve checked multiple times that the place i went to: st david’s village hotel was not part of the list of exclusions. some clarification on why it didn’t work would be much appreciated. but overall the app seems okay so far, but i am rather miffed regarding the false advertising.

Downloaded the app a few times and it doesn’t work, keeps freezing on my screen, can’t log in, really frustrating
Great if in a hurry
Great if in a hurry and you can order ahead but baristas need to start actually putting what you’ve ordered. I watched them make a large iced mocha meant to be according to the app 5 mocha sauce some of the baristas don’t even put 3 so it tastes terrible other then that when it’s right it’s good!
THEY DO NOT DELIVER
I ordered a drink that was almost a tenner and they didn’t send the bloody drink NOWHERE does it state that they don’t do delivery on the app it wasn’t till an hour of not getting my drink I find out they don’t actually do delivery. Dont understand why they ask for your address??? Don’t order from this app for delivery absolute scam!
