Great tool to manage health
A nice AI coach to help you with decision making about your nutritional intake and also includes physical fitness tool. Overall great tool to help you on your efforts to stay healthy. Motivational too.
SCAM!
100% scam I paid to get the tai chi workout can’t get it and can’t connect anyone, 100% scam don’t waste your money or your time.
Comment
Don’t understand how to find some of the 11 highlights.
The Work of Evil
This is an AI generated program. I don’t believe in this AI stuff. It is the work of Satan wanting to control your life.
Regressed
I lost weight quickly and then started adding again. I did not do anything differently. I am so confused right now. I can say I don’t think it’s working for me. Menopausal weight gain is too powerful for even fasting.
Tactical help
I know I needed help every day understanding just how much sodium I was taking in Giving hints on the next step and helping with options trade-off like a friend who’s always available is what this app is all about
Very Poor
I expected better. This app is difficult to use and slow to access. Many pages never filled. I expected something easy to follow and intuitive. But not this. I spent $$ on it but I guess it is just a loss. I expected so much better that I even bought 3 months! Something I never do. Live and learn.
Simple is simple to use
This app has helped me with my eating habits and I like the honesty but also the positive reinforcement
Loosing weight
I thought I would try this to loose some extra weight and as long as I stick to the plan it really seems to work 8 lbs in 3 weeks, I am very happy with this I expected nothing but it really seems to work if you put in The time . You will see results
Needs a lot work
For work outs you need more areas of choice like shopping or lawn mowing work is also a good idea people do other things then sports also your app doesn’t need any place for water and exercise that aren’t odd amounts like 16 minutes or 15 ounces there’s a lot more like that that needs work as well as the calories count it changes even though the meals don’t
Feels good
Love it so far.
Not for me
I was not happy with the excercise part - the models looked like transients and I think AI generated people or even cartoon animals would have been more whimsical .
Consistent
The provided guidance set clear goals and was encouraging.
Average at best
Whilst the logging of food and water intake is ok, the AI coach gets your consumption and food logs wrong daily… which is frustrating. It’s ok for tracking food… but better options out there.
Right idea, but glitchy and off-point
The Simple app seams like it is best geared to folks new to weight loss and wellness. Good concepts, but too rigid in its approach or inaccurate tracking. Food is not accurately tracked and insights are too generic or might be focused on one specific food and not the whole meal. The workouts are hit or miss too - love the general concepts but sometimes they over look symmetry (Will do left side and not prompt the right side) or do duplicative exercises in one workout. The coach I selected was pretty good and responsive to my requests, but the app continued its same approach.
So far so good
Did not know that I was not as limber as I thought. This is helpful more than anything I have done in the past.
Misleading
I just downloaded and I’m already disappointed at the app. The advertising was misleading. And the fact that it gives you one price to begin but doesn’t state not everything is included. Then later you get hit with get premium access for additional $$ more. Why not be up front about total cost? How can I get a refund for what I already paid? I can’t properly use the app if I’m only getting partial access. You need to give full price up front and not try to deceive your users.
First review-3 weeks
I like it do far. It encourages me everyday. Blinky is cute non threatening, and encouraging. I live that I can ask my coach anything!
Could be great, but isn’t
I love the user interface, look and feel of this app. But as a food tracker, it’s rubbish. Over estimated my calorie intake by a third across the day, and there is no way to correct it. Insult to injury, then started giving me a sad face when my food intake was actually good. Needs a barcode scanner and a way to accurately input nutritional values. Deleted the app as it was stressing me out
Informative app
Very informative app and enjoy keeping track of my meals and caloric intake. Also like alternative food ideas and suggestions of meal choices.
Love this app
My journey is better managed with the app and my coach.
Tai Chi Nonexistent
Tai Chi is advertised as a part of the plan but is nonexistent in the actual plan and app.
Good
Good to help keep you on track- great community. You will have to double check the AI nutrition numbers- doesn’t always match labels
Works well for me
This is app lives up to its name of Simple, works for what I need. Weight logging and reviews are very helpful. “Blinky” the fuzzy mascot thing is annoying when you’re off track. I really enjoy the workout videos which suit me & my abilities (or lack thereof) Have tried reaching out to support with no luck - 2 main complaints I have are: A) it is terribly expensive for what I get, $50/month is very hard to come up with for this B) the tracking is in dire need of improvement!!! Currently once you track your food/meal it takes the data and disappears. No way to go back to see what you’ve consumed or logged. Very frustrating that way.
Helpful but buggy and expensive
Be careful not to log liquids like kefir under meals, it adds about 1,900 ounces to your hydration for the day, instead log it as a fermented milk product under Hydration. I’ve also had it delete meals for the day, not sure how to recreate it but deleting an item from the meal may cause it at times. The intermittent fasting and water tracking have made a huge difference, and I’m am steadily losing weight. App pricing is higher than I would like and that may cause me to stop using it.
Give it a try
This is a great app for someone trying to get back in shape and eat better. Exercises start out slow and you can pause it as needed. I enjoyed this app for the short time I got to use it. Unfortunately, my health issues preventing that at this time. I was also very pleased with customer service. They went above what was required.
Watch out for subscription
Be incredibly careful when signing up for a trial or subscription with Simple Life. They auto-renewed my account for a massive £79 annual fee without sending any prior notification email or warning. Please note: simply deleting or removing the app from your phone does NOT cancel the website billing database. They will keep charging your card.I only managed to get my money back because I threatened a formal chargeback dispute with American Express and cited consumer notification rights. Check your bank statements closely—this company relies on sneaky subscription traps. 1 star.
I like it.
I like this app a lot. It has a couple issues but overall it’s good.
Je commence quand?
Trop de blabla
Great tracker! Obnoxious accountability buddy.
The app offers great tracking abilities. It’s been a great way to track my water and food intake and weight everyday. Blinky is not my favorite. He’s not programmed to keep you accountable, he’s emotionally coercive and threatening only a few days into starting the journey. I sent him on vacation as soon as I had enough points to do so and didn’t bring him back.
Amazing
Coach Avo makes everything doable and simple .
Do not download
This app is a trap. They automatically renew and do not notify ahead. Their policy says you can cancel but it has to be 24 hours before they charge. The big problem is that they don’t tell you that they’re going to charge. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel the program.
Avo
Not a big fan of Avo. She repeats the same thing every time and is not helpful. Meal plans come with little time for shopping .
Simply the best
Was a bit sceptical about the exercises and the whole AI driven approach but I have noticed real changes physically - lots of ideas for pairing food nice exercises and heaps of suggestions for tweaking, going a little bit further to maximise on achievement of my goals.
It’s okay
It’s good if you like to keep track of food eaten, exercises recommended are good too. I don’t know what I expected, but I did expect more.
Positive
This app and coach is so positive and supportive, helping every step of the way to give education on making positive changes that last! Plus the little purple guy that changes colors is so cute and funny. So easy to track all the food intake for that day and the amount with just a picture or scan of the label. It’s great! Convenient, plus so many workouts and meal ideas! I feel spoiled at how much I have access to in one little fun app!
Fraud
Kept trying to charge me after I cancel… Several $79 attempts
Great Experience
I am so pleasantly surprised that I have actually lost weight. The app is full of lots of hints and tips and lots of support. I am learning to be more mindful re what I eat and work on my relationship with food. It’s definitely worth checking this app out and I have found it invaluable
Not encouraging
Feel always watched with the multitude of notifications. Plus that little cartoon always in my main screen like a spy. When I have a good balanced meal, you still have warnings and need to improve. Pretty depressing.
Good and Bad
One month in. Overall the app keeps you focused and I have made significant progress. The trainer chats however, repeat information supplied and provide generic answers to questions without considering specific circumstances. Useful as a tracking app limited as a coaching app.
Just like the title!
Simple. Just follow the steps and track what you’re supposed to track. I thought fasting would be difficult but it’s not! Thumbs up!
Complete BS
SCAM. DONT DO IT. I used the app for 2 months and it wasn’t anything more than all the rest you can find on App, TT, FB, IG - so I canceled. THEY KEEP CHARGING ME AFTER I HAD CANCELLED 6 MONTHS AGO. FKN SHADY BUSINESS. DO NOT PURCHASE OR EVEN DOWNLOAD. THEY GOT BACK INTO A MY CLOSED ACCOUNT AND BEGAN RUNNING CHARGES EVERY MONTH AT THEYRE WILL. COMPLETE CROOKS.
Great
Okay so, I wasn’t going to download the app but something did make me stop and think. So I did and now I’m down two dress sizes. Which is great. However, what I don’t like is now there is a calorie counter on there. Before, as long as your habits were good you could be over on calories and it wouldn’t matter and he’d stay green. But now, anything over makes him orange. It really upsets me. I wish there was a way to disable calories and keep him green with eating good food. But other than that the app itself has actually helped on my journey.
Built for fast metabolism
Water-based
Not great, won’t be continuing
I wanted to love this app, and for the first few days I did. Now I’m about 3 weeks in and it’s not worth a subscription at all. The AI guesses the food values and is wildly inaccurate, even if you explicitly tell it how many calories a meal has it will guess something completely different! Add to that, there’s no way to manually change it, and it’s infuriating! The bland, repetitive and condescending comments about the food logged are not great either, even being potentially damaging if people are already prone to disordered eating. Don’t bother with this, it’s yet another useless AI bot that over promises and under delivers.
It works!
It’s a great app to lose weight and stay healthy.
Scam do not sign up!
Scam do not sign up , automatic renewal and contain request to sign up to premium subscription.
Almost excellent
A good app that has helped me to lose weight at around 800g per week over 8 weeks so far. I have leaned a lot about food choices using this app and this will help me in the future. The app can give inconsistent feedback at times and it is quite easy to get into stalled weight loss even when you are on track. The AI chat was helpful at first, but after using it for 2 months I feel I am outlying growing it. Advice is becoming very samey and the Chat does get confused easily. Although the app clearly is based on sound advice that does work it is easy to imagine people using it in the early stages of dieting to get themselves set up and then continue their journey independently. To continue using this app I would need the app to become more advanced over time e.g. offer recipes for more tasty weight loss dishes or even healthy treats. Some of this does exist but more would be needed to keep viewers using the app over s longer period. The app does its job in getting users on the correct path to weight loss, but this user has now left the app behind and is successfully using other ai tools to get to the next level.
Much better before the timer changed
I really liked Simple and have been using it for around 5 months. As a complete IF novice, it felt intuitive & easy to use. I accepted a few inaccuracies and annoyances as overall I was having losing weight I’d struggled with for years, so stuck with it. However, I can’t justify spending £59.99 every 3 months for an app that has many flaws, especially after the (awful) recent changes to the timer. The timer used to be easy to adjust and recognised when a fast or eating window was happening from the time a meal was logged. The new timer involves setting up a manual schedule every day (it no longer automatically recognises first meal of the day as eating window starting) and goes in to meltdown if you add/edit meals later in the day, once you’ve started your fast (warning msgs pop up constantly saying your fasting window will be cancelled if you log this meal- which it doesn’t then do 🫠). I contacted customer support and was advised to set a new schedule for every day, which I’ve found to be time consuming and confusing as often it won’t set up to the time I want it to, for an unknown reason. I’ve spent more time/energy mentally calculating what is happening with my fasting/eating windows since these changes and if I forget to manually set it, that days info can be easily lost. Other annoyances include: Cannot be linked to Fitbit & no option to manually enter your step count for the day AI messaging will say daft things like ‘bananas aren’t good for weight loss, remember not to have treats too frequently’ (!!) The main weight loss graph changes constantly to say ‘gaining weight’ or ‘losing weight’ depending on daily micro fluctuations. Yet, Blinky will be saying something different. It would be more helpful if a message was shown about why weight fluctuates overnight (ie. Water retention) than this contradictory messaging. It doesn’t have a great database for recognising a complete meal or nutrition bar so it’s time consuming logging meals like these. It doesn’t remember recent/repetive portion sizes- eg. I have exactly the same amount of oats every morning, yet it auto fills the weight from when I first started using the app. There’s no option to scan barcodes either. Overall I’m baffled as to why it’s rated so highly at such a high price point. I’m moving over to Yazio which is way more affordable, has a richer database and a simple to use fasting timer. It’s also learnt regular meals/portions so quickly, and you can link it with Fitbit.
