It’s like having a tour guide in your car!! Great restaurant suggestions too!! Thanks again
App crashing
The app has been crashing for the last couple weeks
Sometimes (but not always) excellent
When we toured Kauai and Oahu a few years ago, we found the tour information entertaining and interesting. During those tours, the guide talk/information was reliably triggered by GPS position along the path. Recently, we purchased the tour for Isle of Skye; it’s a solid audio tour and very detailed (we were only on the island for a day and wished we’d be able to take all the side trips that were called out). After Skye, we purchased the “Edinburgh’s Old Town” walking tour and were very disappointed. The provided information was targeted at Harry Potter obsessives (I enjoyed the HP books, but I want to know more about the history and culture and (much) less about every little spot where Ms Rowling found inspirations). In addition, the tour/talking points were not reliably triggered by our GPS. It became tedious and we turned it off (and briefly mourned the money and time wasted on that specific guide).
Grand Canyon south rim
I’m glad I purchased it. Added to the tour. I didn’t realize there was no audio while driving at first but that was my fault
Highly recommended.
Guide works well. Very helpful and informative, engaging commentary. The guide is useful in highlighting some unusual places to stop that may not be on one’s list, as well as to suggest an order of places to stop that makes the most sense. It’s a well thought out and executed guide. Do heed the advice regarding charging your phone, and it’s best not to continually charge the phone while the GPS is in use as this could cause overheating your phone’s battery. Highly recommended!
Awful
Didnt work 90% of the time! Very disappointed
Great!!
We used this in Glacier, Yellowstone-Grand Tetons, Beartooth highway. We started in Glacier and it was great!! I went with a different app for Yellowstone to begin with because it was supposedly a local guy but the app was horrible. We had to stop at a lodge to get WiFi so I could download the Yellowstone instead lol. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is some of the commentary repeats throughout the park. Not that big of a deal but I’m sure that there is plenty of information that could be used instead of repeating the same thing over again.
Kauai Tour
Great tour commentary and great directions along the way with decisions points to skip or detour for other points of interest. Clunky audio setup. No CarPlay integration and I could not find a balance of volume between Apple Music and app audio on Bluetooth. I would want CarPlay integration to use again as most of the time I would be using a rental while traveling and don’t have time to optimize settings!
Amazing!
Amazing app! Better than having a real tour guide. Walks you through every step of your journey.
My family told me to turn it off!
I thought my family would enjoy this as we traveled through Yellowstone National Park and grand Teton national Park. Two teenagers and a 10 year-old. All kids, including my husband, told me to stop it and never play it again Waste of money on my part.
Icefield Parkway Tour
Great as always but a 4 star instead of 5 because on our way back it was giving us the same information as on the way to Jasper.
Very bad experience
Did not like that i cant see the starting location from my home to plan accordingly
Love the AP
Adds a great experience. We highly recommend it. We had a great trip. Dave is now permanently part of our travel plans.
Wouldn’t recommend
Bought this app/ map on a recommendation from a friend when it was Gypsy. Clearly things have changed but I found it useless for the information I was seeking. Frankly for me, a total waste of money.
Canada Rockies
We have been recently to Canada Rockies trip and we drove from Vancouver to Jasper with multiple stops and we lucky to use this amazing app and we learned a lot about Canada and Rocky Mountains history and culture and local information.
Great Touring App
We used GuideAlong for our recent trip to the Dakotas and we were so impressed. Wonderful stories along to keep us entertained with great directions to hit the highlights. Highly recommend & will use again for sure.
Waste of money
We couldn’t download our tour of Icefields Parkway because we had no internet coverage. Complete waste of money
Must-have Companion
We’ve enjoyed many tours and look forward to many, many more. Once you try GuideAlong you’ll look forward to the next tour. A great travel companion!
Payment done, trip does not load
I purchased a Tour meanwhile twice but it still is not available. Payment is done and there is no mail contact option. The phone number for help never respond. There is just an answering machine. Waist of money
Excellent, Truly Excellent
I could not have been happier with the quality of the two audio tours I used (Glacier and Yellowstone/Grand Tetons). Informative, easy to listen to… I will use again in the future. Great job folks!
Excellent!
The two tours I’ve purchased (so far) have been invaluable! We’ve learned so much about the areas we’ve visited and seen so many more “off the beaten path” sites than we would have even known about if it hadn’t been at the suggestion of the tour guide. Narration is very informative and easy to listen to. We recommend this app to everyone!
Yellowstone
Went to Yellowstone in August 2026. Excellent commentary and facts. We enjoyed it greatly
Banff , icefields and Glacier
This is great ! Have used these tours before so we knew what to expect. These are so great because often things are mentioned to see that you were not aware of and it s pretty good history lesson while you are riding along ! Highly recommend!
