Terrible recent update
The recent update where the splitter doesn’t now go in to interest yielding pots has ruined the Plum experience for me. It is now no different then any other bank/app. I would now recommend Monzo over Plum.
Negative changes
Recent changes removing the ability for individual saving pockets to have interest applied unless you subscribe to the maximum plan is a major step backwards. Now actively looking for a competitor to move to. Shame! Was loving the app until this happened btw….
Disappointed
I’ve always loved and believed in Plum. I even invested in the company when I first got the chance. However, I’ve been seeing a bit of a decline recently - it used to be possible to create pockets that earned interest, now that’s gone, unless you pay X amount of money for the most expensive subscription. I already pay for Boost which is second from the top. Things that used to be possible are being blocked by paywalls. I’ve been a long time supporter of the app but I think it may be a good time to start looking for an alternative sadly.
Thought about it.
Glad I read the previous review, I was going to look at investing with Plum but not now, I’ll do some research and find a better one… Only gave it 5* so my my review will be posted - or will it as the previous review is from over a month ago and Plum haven’t even had the manners to answer it!!!
Ruined the app
Getting rid of the interest on individual pockets and making a stupidly expensive month subscription was an awful decision, I’ve used plum for years as a plus member. Literally have just gotten rid of the reason I used you guys.
Delay in getting funds
Why does it take 3 days to move money from my investment to my pocket ? It says due to be transferred today but still no sign and I need the cash
We don’t all get paid on the same day
Have a cash ISA and the rate is good. Deposit and withdrawal are slow and clunky compared with rivals though. And it is no good pestering me to set up an automatic payday transfer when the only dates offered are end/beginning of month or end of week. My occupational pension comes towards the middle of the month. State Pensioners get paid every four weeks and there are large public sector employers who don’t conform to “end of month”. It should be possible for customers to set transfers up for their actual pay day, not the day when Plum thinks we should be paid
Easy to nativagate
I like the little interactions the app gives when you do something, a good mood booster!
Can not access
Since the update the app dosnt not work can but access it
Avis
Used to be brilliant - app now has issues more often than not
Used to be absolutely brilliant for an easy way to save and not have to think about it. However after getting rid of their ultra membership earlier this year and moving me onto the Boost membership I’ve had nothing but issues with the app not working, freezing, logging me out constantly, not letting me click certain areas and getting stuck in a loop where they’re trying to get me to upgrade my account even more, and now my over 2K savings have disappeared out of one of my pockets with the closure of yet another type of account. Just having to hope and pray that it will sort itself out as currently it seems my money is lost in the cloud. Sort it out plum. Absolutely ridiculous.
Patchy
There are good points to this app - you can painlessly grow your savings and investments if you allow the app to automatically take contributions from your accounts - I have found it very useful to do that. However - the. Reporting tools for investments, especially the charts are horrendous. They do not work. There are frequent shelf like drops in investment values that are not reflected in the markets. The drops are mirrored in the initial investment amount showing that it is an error in the Plum system, rather than any reflection in the performance of my investments. The problems have been there for months and have not been fixed, so I think that I will use Plum to gather the cash and will then transfer to an alternative, functioning, product for the investment side, so that I can have some faith in the numbers.
Miss Haidee Susan Howard
I’m still waiting to recieve the money back from my other Plum Account that I had money over hundred pounds in My other plum ISA Account. Lost my mobile Phone with no Access I had to open another account.
Terrible since Lloyd’s has taken over
I have been using plum for the past 6 years and it really helped me learn to save properly. One of the main ways I did this was the pockets that you could create, setting goals and splitting how much of your money you wanted to go in each pot. The pots gained interest, and you could get your money out instantly. Since being taken over, I am having to pay more money a month, for no where near the same benefits. The pots no longer have any interest, only if I pay £14.99 per month… 5 times more than what I paid before it changed. The money is also not accessible for 90 ish days which is useless, especially when saving for an event such as birthdays/christmas. I used to love this app so much and told everyone about it, I’m sad to say that now I will be looking for an alternative app. I did contact customer services to express my disappointment but they obviously aren’t that bothered about having me as a customer, despite them constantly contacting me to talk to the papers to make them look good. If you’re new to plum, you might still enjoy it, but from a loyal customer the fact they have just completely changed it and tried to sell the benefit that you get protection from Lloyds (it was protected anyway) they obviously aren’t bothered about their existing customers!
Très satisfait du service
Très pro, réactif, honnête
Really tricky interface to use
I have limited confidence in using the Plum app Interface. It is not intuitive and takes ages to work out where your money has gone and when it’ll be available.
Disappointed
I have to update my previous review. I did not realise that now the only custom pocket which earns interest is available to Max users. This is very disappointing, and makes the offering substantially worse.
Great App
If you find saving hard to do this is the perfect app. I even invested in this as I think there are bigger things for the company in the future.
Can’t access your money
I’m unable to withdraw my money from Plum. Trying to get through to support is painful. Don’t bother with this app
Great app - Minor bugs
Great app! Really love it and it helps me save money. However, for the last few days, it won't let me withdraw money, an error keeps appearing. That's the only reason I rate 4 stars.
Use Moneybox instead
Plums platform is unintuitive, it auto links to banks which is annoying, it’s difficult to set up automation and check when they are active. Use one of the competitions first. They also give you refer-and-friend incentives with arbitrary deadlines for the accounts to be opened and money to be deposited so you find yourself missing these after a few days if the contacts are quick enough! Avoid.
Excellent concept
10/10 would recommend
This app has helped me pay off my overdraft of 300 and my credit card of 1200 in one year. I’ve been trying to do this for nearly 7 years. (I’m not great with money) Can’t recommend it enough!
Terrible company to deal with
I’ve used this app for 3 years, issues to start with regarding wrongly calculated interest gave way to letting it do its own thing, within the confines of slow transfers when trying to get money out. Given the recent “system migration” I’ve now had money missing for 7 days where transfers from defunct pockets do not equal the corresponding transfer in to the new easy access account/pocket. Customer service are a round about of platitudes covering stress and understanding and “the team looking for a timely resolution to the issue”. They so t accept that they should make customers whole and then figure out their system issue root cause. Even putting that to the side, the new pricing structure makes ‘pockets’ pay 0% unless you are on the top tier of subscription removing all the appeal.
Bonne application
Charge on cash Isa
Plum have taken £11.99 from my account and is not showing as credited to my cash isa or pocket. On the agreement there is no mention of charge on cash isa or pockets.
Saisie administrative
Comment fonctionne l’application ?
Great App
Love how easy it is to save
Disappointing updates
Been a Plum user for over 6 years and have loved it for saving money. As of end Sept ‘26 interest earning pockets are only available to customers on the Max subscription (£14.99/month) and in 95 day notice pockets. This is no use to me. I’ve withdrawn all my savings and moved to Monzo who offer interest earning pockets for free. I’ll miss the automations but it wasn’t much hassle to look at my average auto deposits over the last while and just set up a monthly DD for that amount.
Super
Misleading Interest Rate & Poor Customer Service
Misleading interest rate and poor customer service. The advertised rate isn’t paid as you would expect, and I received conflicting information from different agents. I’ve closed my account and moved my savings elsewhere.

Plum
Love it
Disappointing changes
I have been using plum for a number of years for saving goals via different pockets. They’ve made horrible changes to their process and don’t allow you to split savings into different pockets with their own interest rates anymore. Very disappointing, will be leaving Plum for good, moving to a different bank.
Add an auto invest ( stock purchase) from pockets
The app is nice but I think one feature would separate it from Revolut and other competitors: -auto stock investments based on the stocks you’ve already invested - the deposit to the investor pocket could be automatically transferred to buy the stocks without you having to do it manually Currently it’s only possible with an investment fund account and I’m not sure it’s possible for everyone, actually it’s to complicated.
Overall experience
Great for saving money but would not recommend for short (or long term) trading. Closing an account in this is an extrememly painful process. Would only recommend for the saving features or if you are just learning trading but do not use as an investment app.
Average app
Closing an account is a real pain and takes unnecessary amount of time.
Brilliant
Trustworthy and simple. I saved 100 in a month without missing it. Wish I’d started before now but now is good too!
Was a good app
This used to be a great app but they have recently changed it- it’s now very confusing to set up pockets to save money and seems to have become more expensive to use. I’ve been using it for several years but I am now looking to move to a different savings app.
Really good app BUT
This app is really good. I just wish that when money is transferred from my bank account to Plum that it didn’t take so many days to be deposited. Surely there could be a way around this by depositing using a debit card instead of a direct debit? It’s brilliant other than this issue
Appalling
Been a loyal app user for a long time now and never asked for bank statements before. Suddenly I try to withdraw money and the money is stopped from returning to my bank account with no warning or notice prior to doing this. After sending the statement I’m waiting nearly a week and nothing has been done. This is truly appalling service.
Great for saving pocket change, but still has my money floating in space too much
I love the idea behind it, I have 7 pockets that help me manage mentally what I want to do with my money. It stops me from transferring back and forth on impulse. Was enjoying the app a lot coming up for Christmas and I gave me a bit of peace of mind when trying to organise cost of living vs gift buying. I think overall it’s a great app for small-weekly savings. My main issue is the amount of time my money spends floating in space between transfers. I currently have a big payment and I need access to my money but it has not even reached my plum account for about a week now? Other times it may only take a day. It’s so hard budgeting and planning ahead when I don’t know how long my money is going to be invisible for. I know the app is not a scam, but I can’t help but feel super uneasy sometimes when a deposit leaves my account or app, knowing it could take a day or weeks to arrive. On top of that, the app can be super confusing when trying to find the automatic transfer options to help slow down how much money leaves your account. Maybe it’s just me who finds it this way, but even now typing this the thought of finding it again feels exhausting. I don’t want to run people away from this app, cause I have definitely found it for the most part useful. But I would have be lying if I said I didn’t still have reservations about it.
Great app, really useful
Great app for daily use and really useful for keeping track of expenditure and income.
Must pay for interest on savings
Had a savings pot closed with talk of great things coming to then find out the great things are requiring to pay for the top tier subscription to get interest on savings. Absolute joke. Emptied my accounts and using a far superior service now in trading 212
I’m not sure I understand this app lol
I expected it to be an app that allows me to budget but it’s saving money? Which I don’t mind but I’m still very confused. Can’t give it a low rating cause I’m not sure what it’s supposed to do. Just trying to be honest.
Made me too anxious
Not sure I like the idea of linking an app installed off the internet to my bank account.
Not really ready for market
Interesting concept. But unfortunately for ROI accounts, there seems to be very little of value that isn’t already available elsewhere. The particular cashback offers listed in app are already widely available here. This appears just to be a product that transfers funds from your account in to Plum’s own system but then fails to offer interest / investment functionality or even any analytics. Basically, it’s an additional account with automatic transfers out of your own current account. Perhaps it will improve, in which case the product has likely been released far too early for this market. But most importantly, as the supported ROI banks often charge for transactions (up to 20c in some cases for a direct debit transaction), it’s quite hard to see how this product is going to be able to gain any traction at the (presumably) target demographic when frequent micro-transactions could get quite costly. The only supported bank that doesn’t apply these charges is Revolut - who already have exactly the roundup / saving vault functions that Plum offers but does it better...
