They went the AI route
Great app right up until the point they thought I would trust my finances to an LLM. So I’ll be moving my money elsewhere.

Great for saving, you don’t miss your loose change and it soon mounts up.
Buggy XP
With iOS 26.6.2 on an iPhone 13, the app is quite buggy. It gets stuck in states with no way back to any start page. For example, after a transfer to ISA, the app is stuck on the Add Funds page, even after restarts or even a full reinstall. This is despite receiving emails saying the process has completed and providing a link to view the state in the app.
Simple and Easy
Moneybox is really easy to use and helps me save without any stress. The interest rates are good and the app makes everything clear. Overall, a brilliant way to save and invest.
Not great customer service the app itself is ok
The ai need adjusting it tells me to go to settings when there isn’t anything actually labled settings I had to work out which one that was my self Then trying to cancel or get in touch with somone was extremely difficult and took ages I will be using a diffrent Lisa Yes they have the best rates but the worst customer service so up to u what you want I guess
Ad walls
Does what I want it to do but the rest is junk, advertising and pressure from Moneybox to invest. I don’t need to be prompted to go read “Sarah’s revolutionary journey” every time I open the thing. turned off notifications for this app a long time ago. I do understand however that Money box might want to make users aware when the end of the tax year is coming.
Bugs that never get fixed
Figures on detail screens don't agree with the equivalent figures on the summary page, giving my investment 2 different values for the same thing. Reported 3 times now, and, despite assurances that this has been 'fixed', it's still a problem. RESPONSE TO DEVELOPER NOTE: Your colleague Shahum had all the details (for the 3rd time) last week, they should have everything that you need to do a permanent fix. (I'm no software expert, but it looks to me like the detail screen is being updated at a slightly different time to the summary screen.....and nobody is thoroughly testing any fixes they deploy).
Horrible app
Horrible registration process with bugs, very slow support and not resolving the bugs for over two weeks.

Not smooth to switch
I pointed out three mistakes from their email, bot guidance and human reply. That was all wrong and they were stubborn to admit the truth and all they do is explain internal procedures that user are not interested to know. I’m not sure if my money is kept on by a trustworthy institution or not now to be honest
Good App
Great app for a Cash ISA but sadly needs Face ID for logins. Would be 5 star review if it did.
Post ISA options
There are no clues whatsoever what to do after saving the maximum £20K in a cash ISA for a year. Wish I’d kept it in the bank!
Less helpful since August 26 update
New investment info pages are no good. No longer tells you clear info on how your own specific investment in a fund is performing (it used to show average buy price, now just says how the fund is performing). It’s essential to understand how your own investment is performing so you can rebalance funds as needed. Please sort out this massive oversight Moneybox! Would be super useful for each fund page to provide clear return info, like amount invested, current investment value and % return (total and annualised, like it does for your whole isa). I’ve been a loyal user for many years but this change means I’ll prob look at other apps now to get clearer trading data.

Very easy way to be able to save your money! Especially coming from someone who finds it hard to understand some apps and stuff but this one makes it so easy! Worth a download!
Frustrating
Why does it take SO long for money to transfer from my bank account? I’m probably going to switch to Plum as I’ve heard transactions are almost immediate. 10 days is ridiculous.

Annoying upsell
A very spammy app. Instead of providing you core information on your investments the home screen is just full of upsell and pop-up’s for their other services. Why not add something to settings to turn off this fluff.
Needs transactions
This app needs to have a simple place to just click on and see all of your transactions today. It’s buried in menus are really not very as of right now. The most important thing is that you see your transactions by line just like a bank statement.

Just not happy with the isa it never makes enough money, my saving would be better in a saving account
Good, but could be so much better
I have used Moneybox, as a part of my personal managed portfolio. I find it good for someone who is starting out investing. Sadly for serious investors they will look elsewhere. So why; for me the analytics are really poor, not even able to measure ytd, last 3 months, etc. Also the stock chooser is poor to none existent. No AI support on your portfolio. I want to be positive but sadly I cannot. The app needs a lot of work. If the SIPP option uses similar analytics I would look elsewhere.
Updates
I love using money box however the new update means I can’t access the app now that I have to have ios 16.7. I’m disappointed that this has happened, not everyone can now use it!
Excellent App for ISA’s
I use this app for all my ISA’s and it’s been great. The app overall is intuitive and easy to use.
Can’t update bank details
I used to love this app but I switched bank accounts and the automatic switch didn’t work. I waited 6 days for money box to take my savings money I wanted to transfer in and it didn’t work. The customer service is useless and said they’ll get back to me in a few days. There’s also two chats on the system. An AI one and a human one. I can’t even find the human chat one now which has my correspondence. The app isn’t easy to navigate that way. If I can’t even update my bank account and put money into the account then it’s pointless. After years of having the app I’ll probably just close my account and transfer the rest of my money else where

Difficult to find what my investments are.
Difficult to find what my investments are. I also use Hargeaves Lansdowne and Wealthify - on these apps you can very quickly see where your investments are. I find it difficult to find this on moneybox. I don’t need a wealth projection. I think the app just needs a re-organise, it feels very different to other ISA / investments apps.

Great until you want to your money
Absolute shambles , requested To move some money to my own account (where money Box was funded from ) asked to complete forms , asked 3 times For photo holding ID used on forms , actioned this immediately on each occasion. The last requesting confirmation all good to go and no reply at all .Over a week and no transfer of my money to me . Requested customer service /complaints team and guess what silence . Will be closing all accounts and investments. Please avoid or be aware getting Your money when you beed it is not an easy process and cynically my View is deliberately blocked

Really no competition with other investment/savings app, and the support is incredible! Always fast, warm and efficient, and never leaving me wondering what’s going on.
