This app has helped me out of a spot
Rename
My apologies for strong language in previous review- I wanted to updated this. I personally do dislike the name-change of this app from "Wagestream" to just "Stream"- it's so confusing! Wagestream is recognisable and a brand name- honestly I don't think the rename works. It's a good service generally TBH but I think it was fine before. It's confusing trying to find information online now. The word "stream" is literally everywhere why on earth would just have a single word as the name of the app when it fine before?
GLITCH
I am not happy that compliant can’t be raised and resolved on Stream especially with glitches from the app especially after correspondence with Employer HR Team and it’s established that such records glitch is from Stream. My 17/09/2026 payment is not captured on Stream and this distorts me and makes me very uncomfortable with Stream. Stream is not glitch proof.

This is a big help
Worse financial app
Wagestream is honestly one of the worst companies to deal with. Getting through to an actual person is so difficult. They just use an AI system call Sam that creates tickets but nothing ever seems to actually get sent on to anyone real. All I’m trying to do is update my bank details. They say it should be done within 48 hours but its way past that now. Its been about 5 days. I get paid weekly I updated my details last Wednesday so I would be all set to get paid on Friday and it still hasn’t gone through is Monday despite all the chase from Wednesday nothing my company is even including me in an email they sent to them and nothing. I regret joining wage stream
Nearly perfect
It offers great services and is handy, but it would be so much better if the ‘track’ would actually track regular payments/direct debits rather than just transactions. So if it said your salary is £1000, your regular payments/bills/DD are £800 so you have £200 left over it would help with planning/saving etc.
Title: Payment System Is Confusing and Inconsistent
This is a brilliant app, but the payment system is very frustrating and inconsistent. It would be much better to receive our stream on a particular day every week, rather than dealing with the uncertainty of when payments will come through. I’ve been using this app for over a year, and I’m still struggling to understand how the payment system works. Sometimes you receive something, sometimes they take something, and other times it feels like they take some and give some back. The whole process is confusing and, frankly, quite dodgy. The app itself is excellent, but the payment methods and consistency really need to be improved.
Work finance
It gives me control of my finances and is user friendly with many useful services provided. Thank you so much. Richie
Displeasure.
I sent money since 5pm today and I hasn’t reflected till now. And I need it
sa
The worst part is they charged £1.95 for per transfer which is very disappointing and using our money and still charging us it’s not acceptable
Lifesaver!
Wagestream provides a lifeline to access my wages earlier in these difficult times, which enables me to pay my bills on time.
Virtually pointless
Something has changed since the last time I used Stream, particularly in the way available earnings are calculated. After 18 days, Stream tells me I have accumulated only £165 in available earnings, despite my actual net salary earned over that period being around £1,500. My gross earnings are, of course, higher still. £165 as a mid-month earnings figure is laughable and makes the service virtually pointless. More concerningly, I discovered only after completing the transaction that the money would be deducted across two paycheques, September and October, rather than being recouped entirely from my next paycheque as previously. This was not made sufficiently clear before I completed the transaction. Looking at some of the other financial products now advertised through the app, I am also concerned that Stream appears to be moving away from its original earned-wage-access model towards something resembling a payday-loan business model. That is a significant change in direction and, in my view, risks turning a potentially useful employee benefit into something predatory. I will not be using Stream again. I also intend to raise my concerns with my Trust and ask them to reconsider including Stream in its staff benefits package.
Features have been removed
Prior to around 20/8/26, this app was fantastic, couldn’t really fault it apart from a push towards AI. But after that date, one of its core features seems to have disappeared. I’m unable to use the Pay feature to request an advance on my salary which was sometimes lifesaving. I asked a colleague who has the android version of this app, and theirs doesn’t seem to have changed. Please bring this feature back!

This is amazing and very helpful especially when in need of emergency funds
🧐
Just thought I’d see what this was about, only for it to enroll me in saving £20 a month I didn’t ask it to do. Not impressed. So as soon as it’s set up I shall be cancelling it.
User friendly
The app is user friendly. Understanding my pay and taking control of it is very helpful in managing my finances. I highly recommend this app.
Totally Unreliable
I’ve had nothing but trouble. Recently started a new job and had no pay since the end of July from my previous job. I’ve now got to rely on Stream and draw downs to pay bills and had nothing but problems and no one to speak to and been left on read by Fran in support with no explanation of what to expect. I’m someone who doesn’t miss bills but I’ve had to and from August 18th to September 12th I’ve had to chase my own payroll and Stream on my days off. It shouldn’t be this difficult!

A beautiful place to save at ease, has been very helpful
Customer service is SLOW and NOT EFFICIENT
My account was locked. The contact centre said via the app is the FASTEST WAY to reach the help centre. However it’s been 4 days now and my ticket is still left open. No help in sight and my account is still locked!
App
Amazing
Withheld £50
They have withheld my money for over 4 hours. There isn’t any suitable communication from both the customer service as well as the supervisors. They refuse to acknowledge the ombudsman report as well as continuously causing a lot of problems such as put in an immediate chat block where I’m unable to get support. Disgraceful with the lack of communication and understanding of the fact that my money is unlawfully withheld from me.

Avoid at all cost
Would give a 0 if I could customer service doesn’t exist especially if problem arises they’ll say they’ll raise a ticket and get someone from right department to get in touch they don’t then they ignore you and don’t respond to issues just raise tickets and leave them in progress same with email complaints promise you the world and don’t stick to it then ignore future emails can’t actually ring and speak to someone so if they ignore you then you got no form of communication with them 3weeks down the line multiple tickets raised complaint and issue still no where near being resolved.
