I tend to get a lot of ideas for stories, OCs, etc and when I saw someone like me promote this, it seemed cool! So I downloaded it. Awesome app, but it’s not free? I’m not paying all this money. I can hardly do anything before it wants money. It’s not like the money would be worth it, it’s only for more space. Like what…?
I will always use this app! but theres just one little issue i personally have with it
I have tried many apps in my time as a person with OC's trying to organise information amd whatnot and it has never been successful, however after using milanote iv found my perfect litte thing! I find it really easy to use, customisable for every type of person! One problem though is that for the subscription i do think its a bit overpriced. Dont get me wrong i loveeeeee milanote and really appreciate that theres no time limit on the 'trail' version that lets you have 100 notes, but that number can easily get to 100, and £10 or so a month feels a little steep, i do appreciate that the discount for students is a really good price, but i just feel that for unlimited note space £10 is high ! Otherwise love it!!

Why can’t I move the stuff
App won’t open any more.
I liked Milanote but..for some reason it won’t let me open up the app anymore? I used to be able to access the app but now it won’t load any of my notes. Every time I open the app it just shows a blank screen. I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but still didn’t fix the issue.

Honestly I feel like this is a must have tool to follow and get your ideas done. Besides writing or typing up a shot list this is the best option. It’s like having a second brain. #vsnry

Overall I really like this app for planning in general; I like how versatile it is, how it doesn’t shove a mediocre ai into your face constantly, and that the non-paying package feels like a step down from premium, rather than a subpar service. The only gripe I have is that in an effort to make the formatting simple and keep the focus on content rather than appearance, the app sometimes limits its own range of functionality. For example, while you’re able to make a table and customise the number of rows + columns, you aren’t able to name any of them which limits the tables’ usefulness. Of course, these kinds of things are small fixes and I look forward to seeing the app improve over time :)
Super expensive for no reason
Its 18 dollars a MONTH to upgrade to unlimited storage?? Why Even have a notes app with only 100 things storage! This is very stupid to do!
Really good but one flaw
I saw Milanote being advertised in a YouTube video once and decided to try it out but just realized that on the free plan you can only add a hundred things to your boards, over all of them. Which was disappointing since I was hoping it would be unlimited and then you’d pay for special features As well I think that the pricing is a little high for monthly use when many other apps like this have its features entirely free and are still successful Other than that the app is really good if you have the money for it, but I might come back when things are cheaper lol ❤️

I most likely had some struggles with this app but I managed to complete since they were short struggles that got harder but still able to be managed while making my board👀
Desktop works as expected, App does not.
Trying to use the exact same interface or a desktop browser as a mobile app is not possible. Any good developers should know this. If you wanted to make the view an option for those that needed in a pinch that's great... but at no point should limitations on the app end up making content created on desktop unusable. Numerous times when you make a new board on desktop you can make it outside of the confines that the app allows within its limitations. In other words you can create content on desktop that ends up being outside of the viewing area for mobile therefore being completely unusable. I understand that you were trying to make things more intuitive by making the same experience across all of your products, but this is no way shape or form more intuitive for a handheld device. I understand that the list of view was not as good for seeing the web of connections but what it was good was trying to understand what we're looking at at a quick glance within a user interface that actually works on a mobile device. All you've done is take a product that works decent on mobile and decent on desktop and make it work great on desktop and terrible on mobile. I actually don't know why you guys are spending the money to list this app on the App Store. It's borderline unusable.
No drawing in mobile version
There is a really nice feature in the web version where you can draw either directly on the board or as a card. This is great for extremely-quick concept art ideas. But for some reason this is completely absent in the mobile version where it would be even more useful.

Hello, I downloaded this app because I am a character designer, but this app is very glitchy and weird and it makes all my photos that are high resolution into really bad resolution and and I just think this app could be so much better if the text option that is extremely critical for a character designer. It wasn’t more functional. First of all, it has a thing to make the text all capital. But I don’t need that because all I need to do is press shift and it’s very clunky overall you can’t type anything. It’s like a floating keyboard or you could use your voice, but in public I’d rather just type it and there’s no other setting I hope y’all update this in the future, but please update the text and the resolution because that’s really bringing me fatigue and also can you make it that if you delete the photo on your phone? It’s still on the app like it saves it for you or something I really do want to like this app. It’s just not really well made at all like I’m gonna have to. find a different app to character design and it’s really disappointing because everyone I know all my favorite Youtubers use this app but it’s very glitchy to the point where it’s like not really usable and you can’t type or do the bare minimum I’ll change my review to like a 10 out of 10 if you just fix those couple things thank you
Love but lightly disappointed
Love Milanote but mobile version is very broken especially compared to computer version which works perfectly and gets updated twice weekly. Will give 5 stars if they fix it
iPad writing/drawing is bugged
It skips every other stroke unless I wait 2 seconds between which makes it unusable. A shame considering a lot of cool features. I see posts dating back years having the same issue with no solution

Recently downloaded this app for a project and I liked it a lot, but I hate how quickly you run out of space and then have to pay over a hundred dollars a year to add anything else.
The BEST
I really struggle with organization and committing to my work because I always feel so intimidated by my to-do lists but this app makes everything so customizable and pleasing to look at!!! You can customize everything and add photos to encourage you. It’s such a great platform. I love love love this app and I happily pay the subscription because it’s such an incredible platform. Thank you to the developers!!!!
You only get 100 pictures
This was advertise to me at a free creative workshop app and I thought it be a lot like making a mood board but it only allows 100 images across all your different boards. 100 images in total and if you want the ability to have unlimited images downloads it’s 120 dollars yearly and 12.50 monthly. I’m really disappointed in this app and I feel like it was falsely advertised as it was advertised as if its tools were all free when it wasn’t

I love this app. And i never use the online features, but why can’t I use this app without WiFi? But besides that, I love it. It’s the better notes app.
Doesn’t Work
I love the idea of this app but I only have my iPhone. It constantly crashes and the images will load but then a notice pops up saying that the file can’t load now. It will go blank and I only see a white screen and you can’t adjust the size of each image individually. So if I wanted a few paint swatches in the corner they have to be giant.
Good but one problem
I think it’s good but the amount of cards you can use is kinda low, I think instead of only allowing you to use 100 cards in general they should just allow you use maximum 100 cards in one board. Another solution is to reset your cards everyday. Honestly I feel like it’s one of those apps that are only useable with paid stuff
I use it for dnd
Its really good for stuff like notes (like in the name) and organizing thoughts. My only real problem is that you only get 100 assets but its really not that big of an issue at all. Good app, would recommend
Can’t Delete It.
I’ve tried multiple times and it won’t leave my phone. Maybe I’m doing it wrong but it also wants my full name and I’m not giving that. Just my review.
Be ready to spend money
It’s a good app but it has a much too limited free version
almost perfect except for one glaring flaw
storage. there’s barely any. you can upgrade for more storage, but that costs money, and not an inconsiderable amount, either. £12 a month. i’m a very unorganised student and i was really hoping this app would help me get my uni work together. i could tell pretty quickly that it would absolutely work like a dream for me, all the templates and freeform structure is perfect for my way of thinking, but as i was about a third of the way through planning an essay, i got a pop up saying i was almost out of storage. turns out you only get 100 things to use if you’re on the free plan, so that includes images, links, cards, boards, everything. you only get 100 (not nearly enough). nowhere do they tell you this beforehand, they let you get a feel for the app and fall in love with it then surprise you with a paywall. i can’t afford to upgrade, i’m a student. but this app is so useful for me and i really really want to keep using it. if i may suggest: increase the storage for the free plan (it doesn’t need to be unlimited, i get that the developers need to make a profit, but just make it a more reasonable number i beg), be upfront and honest about the limitations of the free plan and the cost of upgrading (please don’t trick your customers, no one likes being tricked) and make it so you can buy one off storage space as you need it, instead of/as well as the subscription. like i said, i cant afford to be paying £12 a month, but i can afford to pay £12 every now and then when i need to. this way you can increase profits by making payment more accessible and also its just a better experience for a lot of people. moneys tight right now, please be reasonable. in the meantime, i have no choice but to abandon this app.
Controls?
I have recently downloaded this app based on reviews and videos and have been surprised to learn that it’s mostly used on computers and laptops. I have been trying to learn how to use this app on a tablet.. it hasn’t been going well… all I have done so far is getting mad and spending countless hours researching only to come across nothing.. I would like some help navigating the app on a tablet.. anywhere I could go to find controls.. even basics controls don’t seem to be available. Please help.
A must have for artists.
Milanote is wonderful for storing all the reference images for my illustrations, and unlike Canva, it doesn’t have any AI assistants. In fact, Milanote has completely rejected AI completely.

The draw gone
I was looking for a draw like edit but I can’t find it anywhere on my phone because I am only on the mobile, I remember I was have it on my old laptop but my phone don’t.

Was brilliant. Would be better if could upload pdf’s too. Occasionally images don’t upload properly. New update has frozen whole App. Help!
Good but one thing..
On the tablet if you edit something and hit the 3 little dots thing it shows a menu, but it also lowers the keyboard which causes the menu to disappear, and it means I literally just can’t use the menu. Please fix this

Love it - but iPad app needs some work
I love Milanote, a recent convert I now use it for work, community project planning and life organisation. I recently bought a new iPad with Apple Pencil….and that’s when things have started to a little wrong. I can’t open boards, it just selects it for colour change or to change the board (or note) title; then when I do manage to open a list or board and start to type the whole board disappears….very disconcerting! Thankfully restarting the app brings it back - but that not ideal. So, I love the website, but really can’t recommend the app at the moment. Shame as it’s one of the main reasons I bought the iPad - planning in Milanote.
Great, but one frustrating bug.
I’ve been using Milanote as a space to share and collaborate on a story with my friend. I’ve had no problems on the desktop web and app of Milanote, but what I noticed immediately on iPad is this annoying bug where, whenever I want to change a text’s style, the sidebar always closes itself before I could pick anything, or before the options could even pop up. Aside from this bug preventing my from formatting my notes properly while on the go, this is a good app.

really good! With one issue.
this app is amazing. It lets me create characters, plan and make small notes really easily. If you are looking for an app that basically lets you do whatever you want in a open-plan situation. This app is for you. There is very little structure. And so you are completely on your own. Which I think is a good thing. The only issue is about images. If you get pro and start to input images. They will only show up on the website. This isn’t a huge problem. As you can just create an album in your photos to fix this. But it will be annoying if you mainly use this app for moodboards. Other than that, this app is amazing. As there are no adverts. And nearly everything is available for free.
Hides payment plan on website
Really liked the look and feel of this app, but then found that to have more space to develop your ideas, you have to subscribe to their plan via their website. Effectively hiding their fee structure. For that reason they are getting a low rating for not being open and honest enough on this platform.
Text is VERY hard to read on mobile
I absolutely love Milanote! I typically use it on ipad and desktop and have no issues. HOWEVER today I downloaded it for mobile to check some notes, and the text is impossible to read! Why is the font SO incredibly thin?!! It’s not just my notes, but also the text in the login and settings. I also have not found any way to adjust this in settings. This is crazy, I love Milanote and have been using it for over a year, so I hope to see it fixed in the future. This genuinely makes the mobile version is unusable.

Scammy subscription logistics
Doesn’t allow you to unsub from Pro account using any mobile platform including the app. I’m getting charged for something I don’t want because I can’t access a computer currently
Excellent. Just wish you could draw shapes
This app is brilliant, and I’m using it all the time. It’s really helped my creative project planning. I just wish it had the ability to draw simple shapes like rectangles and circle. Or had the press and hold turn drawing into a perfect shape. Simple criticism I know, but that would really make it perfect.
No iPad version

Really good, but a few issues.
Really solid and helpful for brainstorming, but is very slow and laggy. Also, UI text is so thin it’s practically invisible and is completely unreadable. Would be perfect if these things were tweaked or fixed
