Great App — Buggy on Mobile App Still
this app is wonderful but Please please fix the crashing issue on the Mobile App! It sometimes makes it unsuitable when I’m away from home. I’ll be scrolling down a page and it continually reset the page and brings me back to the top..
Why so bloated?
The app is over a half gig and the current burn of my storage is 750MB? iPhone storage upgrades are going to be prohibitively expensive this year. Devs need to start optimizing for storage more often as folks are not going to be able to afford getting larger storage iPhones.
I DARE YOU TO MAKE THE I PAD VERSION AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL ON LAPTOP.
Your AI only gives answers based on being on notion on a laptop even if I let it know I’m on the iPad. He says click here and ull see these options and when I do it’s not true. When I try to type on my I pad even after the most recent update it scrolls down as I type to the point where I can’t see what I’m writing and have to scroll up again and again and again it consumes precious time, only for it to happen again and again. I gots a lot of writing to do please fix it. I’m also not able to drag or adjust the image I want on my page cover, I’m having to manually crop the image so that it fits how I want making it a bit inconvenient compared to a laptop with a mouse. Other than to I LOVE IT AND I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYBODY PLEASE USE THIS INFO I TOOK THE TIME TO SHARE FOR THE APPS BENEFIT.
Incredibly buggy
The iPad app is genuinely unusable due to bugs. There's a bug where whenever you try to select something to type the viewport moves to somewhere else on the document so you can't see what you're doing. This also happens when you type at all. Sometimes it teleports your cursor somewhere else on the document so you type things in completely the wrong place. Incredibly frustrating. Makes me dread using this app for anything.
Mobile is an Afterthought
I get it. Their focus is on being the best platform/ecosystem for work. I really want to love the mobile app too, but it just feels so clunky and misses important features that I’m used to on desktop, like a simple “my tasks” built-in view to match desktop. I don’t want to custom build everything for mobile when it’s already on desktop.
Notion is worth it
Notion helps keep me organized and up to date on all my tasks
Why doesn’t this app ever work!?!?!!!!!
From insanely slow loading to constant crashes… I can’t waste more time listing all the things that do not work with this app. I’m baffled how, in 2026, a tech company with a great product can’t figure out mobile. I need to just fully migrate to google docs and just be done with this mess.
Loving it! BUT I need more colors!
So far, after only a day of use, I am absolutely loving Notion. HOWEVER, the one thing that I truly wish would be added is the ability to add hex codes for more color options or have a color wheel (preferably both). I have too many things that I want to color code with more than the options available, which is pretty limiting. I don’t like when different things are the same color simply because I ran out of options because it ends up getting confusing and ruins the point of the color coding! I want full control over my colors used! If implementing a color wheel and hex codes is too complicated, I would at least appreciate more color options or shades and intensities of the current colors.
Moving objects is basically impossible
Moving objects around (especially if they are links) is pretty much impossible to do. Each time I hold an item to move it, the keyboard or the pop up menu shows up and will not let me move the object. I love notion but since my ipad is my primary device, it has made using the platform really annoying. Developers, PLEASE prioritize improving this function.
I love notion but doesn’t work on app
I used notion on every project when I moved to iPad I had to switch into a new app. I really hope they can fix it Every time I start typing on notion’s iPAD app the cursor disappears because the page scrolls down automatically making it impossible to see what’s being typed. I’m using the latest version (just upgraded). Has anyone else faced the same issue? I tired to just use a web app (Safari, go to Notion, press the share button and select “add to home screen”), but even that has its own serious of bugs. At least I can see what I’m typing…
The best app !
Literally my holy grail for school! It’s perfect for studying and planning. 100% get this app
thanks for logging me out after updating
appreciate it
is ai really necessary?
title^
Great app, just really buggy!
I love Notion, I love the various templates I can use and how more organized I feel once I started using Notion—the only problem being… how buggy it is: widgets on phone screen don’t work properly; they just keep loading endlessly…Sometimes you can’t delete text; it just stays there. You have to select the text and do the cut option just to get rid of it, which is annoying. Sometimes the screen just freezes; have no clue why. I think this app is great. I love Notion, like seriously… it's a game changer, but I feel like I'd love this app much more if it just... wasn't so buggy and sometimes impossible to work with.
Awesome…excepttt
Now notion personally is great!! But I HATE AI! AI is such a unneeded part of this! Rethink the AI!
Shifting
I have literally not seen anyone use this for anything else besides shifting and ykw that’s so beautiful
Completely stopped working
Even after updating, uninstalling, and reinstalling, the app is doing absolutely nothing. Massive L.
STOP
Notion was aesthetically pleasing to the eye but not too much that it was overwhelming. But now it feels like you're making unnecessary updates that is an eyesore. Example: The bold outline around blocks and dividers, turning the recent view into a list. Please stop, or at least make it customizable in the menu so we can adjust it to our likings.
Great before the most recent update (2026)
Users used to be able to browse and add templates from the web app, desktop app, or the mobile app. Recently, they removed that ability for users on the mobile app. Incredibly annoying to have to log in on a PC just to add a template. The whole point of Notion is to increase productivity. Forcing users to jump through hoops to use basic functions of the app only prevents productivity.
Good app, extremely laggy on iPhone
Been using Notion for years, I love the app, and though it takes some time to understand how it all works once you do it’s simple and fun to utilize. With that said the app is really really laggy on iPhone. A few issues I’ve found using Notion on iPhone: 1. I cannot delete text on the app. Say I select text and press the x button to delete it on my iPhone keyboard, it will not delete. Even if I press x to delete it without selecting the text it won’t delete so I have to select and press the ‘cut’ selection. 2. Certain pages won’t load when I try to open them, it’ll display the loading icon for awhile and then seemingly crash and close the app. 3. Inserting photos and the page auto-scrolls downwards to the end of the page. Pretty self explanatory, but when I insert photos and then try to move them around the page it’ll start auto scrolling to the bottom of the page. 4. The app freezing. Sometimes it just freezes and I have to close the app and reopen it. 5. Accidentally selecting an item (like a divider) and the app won’t let me close the menu that pops up after where the ‘insert below’ option shows up. These are just a few issues I’ve found while using the app on iPhone. I truly do love the app, I just don’t like that these issues are so frequent. (side note: i have deleted and reinstalled the app in the hopes of fixing these glitches, but it doesn’t fix them.)
100% worth it
It gets the job done
Why the constant updates?
Whats the point of giving us senseless updates and changing the layout for no reason? It just makes it harder to navigate pages…
Used to be great
My app got kinda glitchy around the start of 2026 and now it’s even worse. The only reason why I stay with notion is that it’s better to plan products the Google Docs. If Google came up with a less glitchy alternative to notion I’d switch instantly 🤷♀️ it’s very sad just to see how bad notion is becoming now that they’ve implemented such bad ai into their app
Stressful
Back to nested pages in one click!
非常好的笔记应用
我现在已经离不开notion了。请千万不要像evernote那样变得恶心，我已经无法再接受一次笔记大迁移。对于我这种普通人来说，笔记就是我知识经验的全部。赞美notion！
Used to be wonderful
For many years, my writing setup was Notion on IPad Pro + Magic Keyboard. A magic combo that worked flawlessly until Notion screwed it up…In reading many similar stories in the reviews here, it seems that the fallout can be tracked to the introduction of AI features…and that rings true. Now, Notion for writing on IPad is not useable. You cannot see what you type. It kills any inspiration and thought you may have had when you opened it. It’s the anti-writing tool.
Go to app I use it every day
But it’s a bit sluggish on mobile and even on desktop when there’s a slow broadband connection, it takes ages to load would be nice accessible in low speed, Internet connections
Notion is NOT okay (updated review)
The app is incredibly buggy. Transitioning from my laptop to my phone is such a painful experience. The Notion app is riddled with glitches and bugs. For example, when I create a database and add multi-select options, trying to hold down on one of the options to move it (I sometimes switch the options to be in a certain order) causes the page to spazz out of control and start auto-scrolling back to the top and it doesn’t stop unless I tap out of the page and reenter. This wasn’t an issue before, I could move multi-select options whenever, so why is it happening now? I can’t help but feel like the effort put into maintaining the user experience in the desktop version, whilst adding in new features, isn’t being applied to the app version, which is very disappointing. Creating a great platform for team communication and personal organization, only to have the app’s experience be so glitchy and frustrating, is disheartening. I love Notion and what it has helped me accomplish, but please, take better care of the app. It’s a shame to see so many bugs crawling around such a nice app. 😞 UPDATE 8/13/26: I genuinely cannot stand this app anymore. Forget the Ai updates, can you please just make the app usable?! Please?? This is such a horrible experience on both iPhone AND iPad
Super buggy
I used to really love this app back in 2022/2023 but over the years it’s became superrr buggy especially with it’s new AI implements. it’s still a good app don’t get me wrong but the bug genuinely makes me so aggravated sometimes because i’ll to deleted a whole template just to get rid of a bug
yes
bruh i literally took out the camera button on my lock screen and put the Notion widget. it is an extension of my own brain, sort of everything in my brain ends up here. the only downside has been once, where i was at home without cell service due to a tower outage. there was no wifi, data, nothing lol nbd but i had reached for notion like 3 times and nothing loaded 😭 i was like wait my brain is in there, i need access to my previous thoughts lol. maybe this is just a “analog vs digital” but maybe there is or will be a way to keep my things local. keeping 5 stars bc mostly, it is there for me and it is a well manicured landscape, functionally.
Why do companies insist on ruining perfectly good products with AI?
Just kidding. I already know. I just wish more of them had the decency to not reshape their entire product around a painfully under-regulated and notably harmful technology. Anything to get ahead I guess…
love this app
This is such an AMAZING App to be honest for your EVERY stuff you doing ONLINE.
sigh
im getting tired of my pictures not uploading and saying "Embed anything"
bloated & slow but useful
does an okay job as a note taking app. lowkey I think it has too many features. feels like it's trying to do too much. & it also crashes occasionally & is often slow. not to mention the constant insistence that you pay money for the AI. overall it's okay.
Blown away!
I was overwhelmed by Notion at first. Primarily I couldn't wrap my head around the page architecture. I had a friend point me in the right direction a few times and I started to get some traction. Then I started tinkering with the A.I. and every day I learned something about Notion functionality that delights me. I'm seeing serious efficiency gains and a goal that I've had to establish a second brain database has been achieved. Stick with it... it's worth it!
It's been months and the moving screen bug still occurs
Whenever I try to type in anything, the screen gets swiped upward, making me unable to see what I'm typing. The bug has existed for so long yet Notion refuses to patch it.
U should try this app but not brawlhalla
The app is alright its just confusing at times for me, although thats prolly on cuz its me using it
Ready to switch to an offline note app
I was really frustrated I couldn’t access my pages without an internet connection in the grocery store today. Also the way they’ve jammed AI into the app where it doesn’t help at all is very frustrating. I want to search my notes, I never want to ask AI a question, through notion.
Too Complex For Me
I’ve seen people do wonderful things for this app, but I don’t see enough guidance within the app itself to show me how to do those wonderful things so I’m frustrated
Great!
I love this app so much! while it helps with productivity and school on my part it is also great for business owners and companies! my relatives use it and love it too! but laptop opens much more possibilities in terms of customization which really ignites the creative spark in me too. great app doesn’t need to change at all :)
downgraded
why would you add ai and remove the ability to see the cover of each note from the home page??? if it’s not broke don’t fix it like
Ipad bug
I love notion, my favourite note taking app, but please fix the typing bug on ipad, as it’s really annoying.
confusing
the app seems like it has a lot of potential but is sooooo confusing to use.
Bugs 4
when I try to open something from marketplace it won’t open, other small bugs too
Perfect organizer App
I’ve tried almost all so called life organizers. Notion is what I’m finally satisfied with.
Doesn’t work
This app refreshes every 5 seconds while you’re trying to type. Notion for desktop is great. This IOS platform is, and has been broken for a long time.
Amazing app
The app so far seems amazing in prospect but the lag of it being online chips a piece of my soul every time I come back to the app But otherwise amazing
Annoying behavior
Why does the keyboard pop up when using NotionAI every time? I will press the text field if I want a keyboard. A lot of gestures like resizing the sidebar also not working.
Fantastic but
I love the app but please stop shoving the AI feature in my mouth!
