Keeps me on point
Great to have the app keep me alert on appointments and all my tasks responsibilities Especially for a woman of a certain age
gTasks is better
For the biggest tech company this side of the Sun, it’s clunky, unreliable, not nearly as smooth and intuitive as gTasks, and I simply don’t like it.
Clean, simple design
Would love for a large widget to display my full to-do list for the day - the one hold up to a great task manager on iOS
Mixes up my tasks every day
It’s a god app but every time my tasks reset it mixes up the order even though I’m on my order. It also changes my previous edits to the task every day. I’d love for you guys to fix this
Good, not great
Good: calendar integration, organization Bad: can’t toggle recurrence; can’t move recurring tasks between lists; can’t use recurrence for “gaps” (e.g. “mow every 7 day”, which is based on completion, not a fixed schedule. If I’m delayed 3 days due to rain, my next task needs to be 7 more days away, not just 4) Search seems pretty unreliable and is unavailable on the iPhone app. Neat: which Google scripting I was able to implement a “gap” solution that triggered off of a phrase in my title: “(repeat=7)”. Detects completion and Creates a new task 7 days out. Unfortunately (another ‘bad’), the task creation interface proudly disregards any “due time”, allowing the setting of only the “date”.
Best app ever
Longtime user frustrated by iOS version
I’ve used Google Tasks for 10+ years, multiple times a day, with 30–40 lists containing everything from daily tasks to personal notes, memories, work information, and even detailed lists of what’s in my storage bins. It’s become an important personal reference system. After switching from Android to iPhone about a year ago, I’ve been extremely frustrated by how limited the iOS version is compared with Android. And now, in the latest update, a particularly useful feature appears to have been removed: the drop-down menu in the upper-left corner that let you quickly see and select from all your lists. With dozens of lists, having to scroll horizontally through them is significantly slower and more cumbersome. I genuinely don’t understand why such a basic and useful feature would be removed. Please bring it back—and please give the iOS version the same functionality as Android. Longtime users like me depend on this app, and it’s frustrating to see it become less useful over time. I’m now being forced to look for something different. Ugg!
repeating tasks don’t work
i created a repeating task i want to be notified to do at 7AM everyday 4 days ago , & it has not once sent a notification for me to do that task. please fix!
The new update 26 is disappointing.
I have 25.26 and it's perfect, snappy. I have similar phone with same iOS and the 26.24 is slow , but they maybe understandable if It requires better phone but the issue is switching google calendar accounts doesn't work when I switch the whole interface page stays blank, have to close the app and reopen to show the switched account calendar. Also the account switching - how are the google accounts now sorted ? It was alphabetic by the account name descriptors. Now they seem to be random. Not happy.
Advancements
I rated it mid tier as it still doesn’t use location based tasks. Also, this app is a great reminder of how most of us in Accounting have to deal with “modern day” ERP softwares: does it get the job done, yes; is it effective at reducing the tedious aspects of the job to make it time efficient, absolutely not. It’s why most us in Accounting and Finance spend hours doing a job because the software can’t pull the necessary data without a million lookups; even in something like snowflake. Bottom line: this app and google’s approach is very early to mid 2000s.
It's OK, but missing a few crucial things.
They're used to be an app called GTasks that allowed me to assign individual subtasks a priority, and that was really nice because I could share that with my team and they knew which one to focus on regardless of what order I entered them in. Also, I could print out the whole thing. Both of those are sadly lacking with this. I'm surprised that no one else has requested both of those improvements. Come on Google, get with it! Also, the three-bar icon to see the list of all tasks has gone away. This is what happens when you have a UX team who gets free pedicures but doesn't actually use the app in real life....
Absolute garbage
Really bad. Unintuitive. Repeating tasks are trash. Impossible to undo. Really regret getting this app.
Organizing titles
Would like to be able to organize titles according to alphabetical order
Reorder Lists
No ability to reorder the lists themselves??? Everything else is good. No I do not want to log in from a computer to move my lists. No i do not want to rename my list then move all the tasks to a new list. This seems like a fundamental feature this app is lacking.
Siri Default
I would give 5 stars if you can make it where google tasks is native to Siri, so Siri will add a reminder to Google tasks instead of Apple reminders automatically.
PRINT BUTTON
I like the stars that you can add or subtract. This way you can keep your list but mark the items that you need for that day or event. Can you add that feature to Google Keep list?
Please update your app!
1) The Widget is borderline useless especially the square one. The rectangle one isn’t as bad. 2) The UI is bad, old looking, lacks modern appeal. 3) No badge support so you don’t know what’s due unless you use the widget or open the app. It goes in the Notification Center and that’s it. 4) No logic for entry; “Do the laundry at 6 PM on Monday” will literally just write that out instead of adding those times. 5) No voice integration with Siri like Microsoft ToDo and other Reminder/Tasks apps. 6) No meaningful updates. It’s in maintenance mode. Look at the history and you’ll see nothing substantial for years!
Good, not great
Good tasks lists with no frills but a buggy widget that list the color code with the list title. I wish the widget could be made one size larger and that widget would allow you to see just the scheduled tasks despite which list they are in.
Bug: recurring tasks don’t show
Recurring tasks created via Google Calendar don’t show in task app
Need task list colors
Google tasks is good but to be great you need the option to choose a color for each task list!!
Keeps me together
With my ADHD google task and calendar is the ultimate life hack!
No search?!?
Why would Google of all companies create an app with no search feature?!
Add search
Could you add search for tasks please?
Pros: Free, works with Google Calendar. Cons: Everything else
If you use Google calendar, and want a free, bare-bones To-Do List app that will show up on said calendar - this is that, and almost only that. If you need a well-designed task app, that does anything else other than that: flee. Leaving aside that Google is the Internet equivalent of an all-seeing, all-knowing, amoral God, moonlighting as a giant billboard: • No search function (this is Google we’re talking about.) • Recurring tasks completely disappear from the app if they are not currently due, so you can’t look ahead to see what recurring tasks you have coming up - though you can find them individually by searching in Google Calendar. Why Google Calendar has a search function that works on Tasks, while Tasks doesn’t, is beyond me • Tasks can only have one set of subtasks - which cannot be hidden • Longer Task notes get visually truncated, so you can’t see past a certain point • No tags or hierarchical sorting • Can’t rearrange the order of your Lists in the app, you have to do it via the web app • Un-deletable ‘default’ list - as such, I recommend not using it • Recently added feature of “Due Dates” don’t seem to provide any sort of visual feedback in the app, not sure if they do in GC, also Due Dates are not editable in calendar despite being…dates • I’m sure there was more… Again, this is a Google app. A handful of small meaningful changes would put this squarely top of the heap, like most Google apps. But here we are.
Great but wish there was more
I wish there was as option to delete or edit a single task. If there is, it’s not intuitive and it seems like the only option for this is complete the task and add a new one
Get It Done App
Helps me keep all my to dos / lists organized. Widget on the screen is an easy reminder. It’s also so satisfying clicking off an item. I do wish we could reorganize the order of the lists. But love that it automatically goes into my Google Calendar. Only app needed to stay organized these days, plus it’s free and not gimmicky.
App keeps crashing
The app keeps crashing without any warnings. I’ve uninstalled, installed and updated the app but I am still unable to open it on my iPhone 11.
Great!
Please allow just two things: custom re-arranging of starred tasks, and collapsing of subtasks!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Poor restart design
Make sure you reopen the app after any update, or you WILL NOT get your notifications
Works good most of the time
Recurring doesn’t work the way it should. It eventually stops pushing a reminder so you don’t see it unless you go into the app
Love!
This app is Da best!!!

Update
Not now have appointment try on Wednesday or after 08/06/26.
Strange!
Of what use is a task app if you can't create repeating tasks? This app requires you to create daily tasks for each day, instead of letting you mark them recurring. Time to delete this app. :(
Keeps crashing
I used to use this all the time but now I can't even open the app. I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it still crashes on open. Back to using Apple Reminders I guess
Daily driver
Big part of my OS
Missing a search function
The Google Tasks mobile app for iPhone does not currently have a built-in search feature for finding specific tasks. To locate items, you must manually scroll through your lists. My lists are long and this is a PITA. Google, please add this simple feature ASAP!
GTasks is helpful and simply but could use a few more features
I really like how integrated and simple GTasks is with the Google ecosystem. I wish it were a little more user friendly by having 1) an easy “reschedule” button like Todoist has, and 2) the ability to add sub-tasks would be really nice.
Expectations from a google app
I just expect more from a google app
Still no badges
Years later still no red badges telling you how many tasks are due or overdue.
Practically perfect
Good integration with Gmail; works flawlessly; access to color would be a nice perk. Ability to search would also be nice.
Needs to be able to share tasks with other accounts.
I like that this is integrated with Google suite but unlike calendars and docs etc ya see is are only for you. No shared home grocery lists no project management in your team. This could be so much better instead it’s just irritating.
Great integration! Too simple tho
I would say this is the best app for those who use smart assistants to set reminders. google assistant of course works but you can use the newer gemini to set reminders with natural language. you can even put a screenshot into gemini and it’ll put the reminders into tasks automatically. i would like it if they added location based and app usage based triggers for the reminders
Subtasks no longer nest under main task!!!
Why when I add subtasks under a main task do they just appear in my list as regular tasks rather than nesting under my main task? Even an indent would be helpful for the subtasks
No search function
The application would be much more useful if there was the ability to search within the app. The only way to search is to do it in the Google calendar application. If you lose the search capability in Google calendar (which is a known problem that I have not been able to fix), both Google Calendar and Google Tasks lose a major function that I depend upon. I am looking for other applications to use instead.
Very convenient – strongly recommended
Very convenient app which synchronises well with the web version thus allowing it to be used on desktop as well. Strongly recommended.
Where is Alphanumeric Sorting?
I cannot be all alone in wanting to sort the task lists I create in alphanumeric order. But maybe I am, because this app gets high praise. Wunderlist / Microsoft To-Do it most certainly is not. Be better, Google.
Useful!
This application has been useful for implementing David Allen’s “getting things done” but this app could be more helpful
Tasks Reminder?
There doesn’t seem to be a way of setting a reminder alert?
Convenient but buggy
App crashes whenever I click ‘add tasks’
