Flexischools is absolute perfection! This app is the best thing ever for managing school orders and payments. It has made my life so much easier and completely stress-free. Everything is super organized, user-friendly, and efficient. I am so grateful for how smooth it makes everything for families. Highly recommended!
Excessive charge
There is a $0.33 charge for each order! Unfair charge!
Good App
Overall easy to use and convenient App. Unfortunately, unlike the website, the App doesn’t include a function to view all transactions.
Unreliable when I really need it!
Relied on Flexischools to order my boys lunches but half the time the system is always down!
It’s good when it works
It’s good when it works. Lately the problems have reduced so I’m happy with that. I feel it’s too much to charge a fee for both lunch orders and recess. If you place a recess and lunch order on the same day, at the same time, then only one fee should be charged, as it all adds up, especially when you order most days of the week. On top of the order fees, there’s also fees for using credit cards etc. it just makes it costly.
Easy to order lunches
This app is sooo easy to use! It’s great! The only addition is maybe to add photos but its not a biggie!

It was bad because the tuck shop didn’t have any specials like we did have before.It was the same old flavors which was really bland.
Easy to the App for a Quick Kids Lunch
The app is easy to use and I am able to organise my kid’s lunch quickly when a trip to the shops was forgotten and there’s nothing in the house.
Beware When Leaving School
A great app for ordering for school. We however discovered that our account does not automatically close when leaving the school. We received an email from Flexischools threatening monthly ‘Inactive Account Fees’ unless we logged back in and deactivated our account. It was in the bottom of an ‘Inactive Account’ email which felt easy to miss.
Easy to use but could improve
Much more user friendly than the previous app the school used. A couple of suggestions: An option to leave a note for the lunch team. Occasionally they have missed an item and my child is too shy to go back for it. It’s often too much fuss to communicate this through office admin, so it would be good to directly inform them on the next order so they can add the item. Also, food photos are so helpful so we can make better choices for the children. It would be good to strongly recommend this to schools.

I wasn’t too impressed with an old update they did sometime ago but they have since refreshed the app and it’s a much smoother ordering system. Thank you
Watch out
Now the app want’s to steal your credit card data; keep it and not allow you to delete it!! A nasty monopoly.When my child leaves school. It all over
Constantly crashes
Have to delete and reload frequently. Conflicts with the other parent’s account (despite it saying both can have an account). Confusing menu layout.
Fees
I always top up the account with a minimum of $50 as it says the fee will be waved for deposits of $50 or over. I continually get charged the fee and it is disappointing. Especially as the school only accepts payment via your app and not cash at all

Over charge
They surcharcharhe os too much and they charge for every individual order in the same bill. Also charges for top up. Just for my kids school nomither way to do it. Can nit carry changes everyday. Somhave to use this app. Rubbish

Fees are charged per order and per period and per kid, which results in an unreasonably high fees.

I miss our old school ordering app, the fees parents pay per child per order is a lot, plus then there’s fees to even top up your account as well!
Issues with access.
I have been using the app for probably two years and when it works it is fine but for the last couple of months I haven’t been able to access my account. I have tried reinstalling the app and resetting password. This didn’t work. I keep getting a 403 error ( didn’t get taken to a reset page). There is money on my account and I also can’t get to the support page from the App Store. Same error. I don’t even know how I can get help for the problem
Uniform
I have not had an issue with the lunch orders, however, tried to order uniformes through the app. Order placed on 12/01. Order prepared on 28/01. We have not received the order until mid/end March. App does not give updates about the order and/or contact details of the company preparing it so we could understand what was going on.
Really good so far
Personally I think this app is really good for buying school food, As a student it’s so simple and I can pay for lunches and collect it the following recess or lunch. Strongly reccommend
High fees
Not impressed with the ongoing fees to make a simple lunch order
Expensive fees!
The fees are sooo expensive! Charges for every top up then another charge for each order you place?!
Not a fan of automatic up marketing
The apps ok, but up marketing automatically to your order without a choice is frustrating .. for eg, if I order my son a pie I have to buy a sauce satchel even though he doesn’t use it.

Soooo buggy
Of all the apps thrust upon parents this is the worst. Not only are there constant fees for ordering and topping up it’s just super buggy. Menus fail to load. When they do you often can’t add an item to the cart. Network timeouts a constant issue. NFRs nowhere to be found. Some days I seriously wonder if my kid will actually get anything…..
Once you know how to use it it’s great
The app it’s self is cuddly to set up but once you’re set up ate quite easy to navigate around as a user. The downside is that there are fees everywhere. A fee to add money to your account A fee to place an order online A fee to buy in person at school. With 2 kids and 1 hot lunch a week I’m easily paying $2-3 per week in fees. Each 10 week term that’s $25, so about $100 a year in fees. The school will sometimes also have parents pay for additional activities through Flexischools so the fees can really add up.

Menu Glitch
The app is extremely difficult to use. Every time I try to place an order, I have to open and close it multiple times before it finally works. I’ve already updated the app, but the issue hasn’t been fixed. I’ve been dealing with this problem for about a year now, and it’s been very frustrating to place orders every single time. Whenever I tap on the menu, it often doesn’t respond or accept my selection. Please fix these issues as soon as possible.
Convenient
The app is great for convenience but school lunch choices are limited. It also doesn’t allow for pre-ordering for the full week (when needed) so you incur a surcharge for each order.
Developer listened and improved app
I absolutely hated this app when first asked to move over to it, but the developer listened to concerns and implemented improvements. Can’t fault that. As it stands, it’s working well for everything I could want it to and my issues with it have been resolved.
Duplicate orders because of app glitches
Charged 4 times because there app had an error during the payment process then duplicated the orders. When I contact the app owners they tell me to contact the school, the school tells me it’s an issue with the app and they didn’t receive extra orders or money. The app owners don’t even try to help and just fob me off instead of actually dealing with the issue. Terrible service and a scam that we are forced to order through a dodgy app.
Weekly spend limits
Would be really good to have a weekly spend limit as well as a daily spend limit especially in this cost of living crisis as I suggested via email a couple of weeks ago. Anyone else want this as well?
WTH
Why do I need to give money to this company to hold it in advance and auto top up, making it prone to fraud and impossible to properly track expenses? Add fees and confusing rules for ordering, I'm surprised they are in business but there may be little competition

Much better than previous versions but falls over in some areas. For example you have an FLX card page which doesn’t work at all.
