Too much security
It is supposed to be a communication app but you cannot stay signed in and have to sign in every time you use the app. For visa holders the app does not work. Their scoring process is only for citizens here in Australia. You have to take extra steps to verify your identity if you are a visa holder.
Good with two nasty bugs
Overall a good user experience. Anyway, two problems occur. As from Europe I use an international mobile number. Starting +49152… I double checked the entry. But I never get a login code sent to my mobile. Also checked with a different number. It simply doesn’t work. Second, how can I turn on push notifications in the settings. Neither the slider nor the settings button work. Thanks.
Very unreliable
Spins and stalls. Very poor for a state education app
Issue with latest update
Since last update the app is completely zoomed in, with no way to zoom out, making it near impossible to use. I know go via the website. If this issue could be resolved this would be fabulous as it worked great before.
App not safe to use
As a parent who works in cyber security, I do not trust this app’s third party identity provider, GBG PLC, with my ID or my child’s information. Giving our personal government IDs to a company that processes that information in multiple different countries is a huge risk and we are being sold to the highest bidder.
Absence page is not working
This year I tried many times to use the notify of absence. When it went to put in absence details. It wouldn’t let me and just frozen then the app closed off itself. I need to message to the school directly.
Biometric login waste of time
Overall the app does what it’s supposed to do. But why have biometric login and then have to enter username and password? I don’t know any other app that does this!
Glitchy and unreliable
If the Dept want ms parent to use this app, fix it. It glitches or freezes so often, especially if trying to open it more than once a day. Incredibly frustrating.
Non- mobile responsive app
The app is not opening properly on the Phone and pages are not fitting on To the screen .
App is unusable due to the zoom
Please fix. The app is zoomed in so much it’s it unusable.
What’s with the latest update?
What happened in this latest “update”? The app used to work perfectly fine and with this new update the screen randomly zooms in when selecting a child which makes it very difficult to navigate, it feels like it’s not optimised for a mobile screen. Please fix it!
Not fit for purpose
Not sure of the investment by the Queensland government into this application, but it is possibly one of the worst I’ve ever used. It’s lumbering doesn’t respond and needs to re-launching all the time and it’s certainly nothing to do with my device. Another government decision and waste of money forcing people app apps attempting to streamline processes and it’s just not fit for purpose terrible
Needs Fixing
Since an update the screen is so zoomed it is make the app nearly unusable. Happens only after log in. Just use the website if you actually need to use this app. I hope the fix it soon to make it useable and then I would rate it more stars
App is unusable. Go to website. Waste of time
This is the worst app I’ve used in a long time. Trying to put in an absence using the app on your phone is a nightmare. Everything is enlarged and you have to constantly scroll to see anything. It’s been over a month and no one has bothered to fix it. Another great government initiative!
Latest Update
Latest update has made the app useless. Everything is zoomed in and difficult to use. Desktop version is not always possible for everyone.
App is almost unusable now
Not sure what changed but the app is even less intuitive than it used to be, even logging in is now painful. The screen resizes to such a zoomed in state and will not resize so completing any function is very difficult. This is basic app design capabilities to manage the form factor but it seems this could not have been tested on actual mobile devices before being released. If this was a school assignment it would get a D or E
App zoomed in issue
After the last update, the app is zoomed in permanently and makes it very difficult to use. To the point of it being unusable.
Unusable
As others have written, the app is now unusable. It zooms in once logged in, you can’t see the full screen or buttons. I have deleted and am using the website login.
