Disappointing update
Great app! Couldn’t recommend it anymore for tracking my child whilst they are at daycare. Devs have designed a great app and truly care about how user friendly it is!
Never works
I get kicked out of the app all the time. Still get the notifications coming through, but when I click on them to open it, I’ve been logged out. I keep having to go into my child’s daycare, have them reset me, delete the app all together and go again from the start. This happens almost weekly. The daycare staff have said to me that this happens to many parents and that they hate the app also. Ridiculous
Tech Issue
Tried to sign in but can only see black screen in that place where qr code should be scanned. Pls help me fix that

I am unable to see the photos when they’re posted by the centre
Functional but
Mate… slower than a wet week. Parents clearly in a rush for drop off and this thing sits back contemplating whether to open, as if it’s sipping on a cognac pondering life’s deeper meaning. It’s 2025. Be taller

Notification delay?
App is slow to send out notifications. Both mine and my partner are using different phones (iPhone and Samsung) it now takes up to 50mins after educators have entered an event for the app to push through the notification. I find myself having to constantly open the app, go back back back to the main screen, then slide to refresh, just to see the most updated event.
Great app
I love this app to see my child’s activity at daycare however I can’t see all the photos the educators upload I can’t click on them any more which is really frustrating
Blank screen when viewing images
The new update broke the photo gallery. Clicking a photo results in a blank screen. Reinstalling didn’t help. Please fix this.
Photo viewing better before update
I really like this app, but since the new update it is difficult to view and engage with photos/videos. I used to be able to scroll through and save or like individual photos. Now i must click on them individually. Also I can only like/save the photo ‘group’ - keeping in mind sometimes the daycare will post group activities, if I want to save a photo of my child I end up with a phone full of photos of all of the classmates and likewise with my ‘liked’ photos, which used to be great to look back on. Please change the photo section back to how it was before! Otherwise it is a good app.
We love Home!
So much better than Seesaw which we were using before. Super easy to use and also includes our billing information from preschool as well as the regular photos and videos we’re used to getting. Big improvement.
Release 2.13.0 broke photos function
Last week’s app update has broken the ability to view photos. Every time I try to view photos in a post gallery, I just get a black screen of death, the app and my phone freezes. I have to lock and unlock my phone, then close the app to get out of the black screen of death. Not a phone comparability issue as my iphone is less than a year old with the latest updates.
Book for multiple kids
Would be great if we could book for multiple children at the same time!
Not letting me view photos
Since the last update the app is not letting me view photos. It only give me a black screen. Not happy with it as being a parent we love to see photos of our kids in kindy. Hope this issue gets sorted soon.
Ok but…
1 ) Should allow photo downloads 2 ) Should work offline - not be entirely dependant on a connection to pull up the basic info which should be cached. 3 ) Should not require password again just because it was launched offline. 4 ) Various UX improvements would help.

Photos just show black screen.
Was working pretty well. Always been pretty slow loading app. Recently something changed and I can no longer view the photos posted by my centre. Just shows black screen. If I download the photo I can view it in the photos app. Problem is only with viewing in the Xplor app.

When want to download a photo, it downloads all photos of the day and I need to delete them manually is troublesome.
Can’t see uploaded images in app
Unable to open the images uploaded from our child’s daycare. I’ve checked with multiple parents and all are having the same issue with this app. It’s been weeks and we’ve reported via the app help feature multiple times.
Update ruined it
Great app and always love the daily updates but the recent update has made the “daily observation” significantly worse. The photos added now open in a tiny window, if you try to zoom in or out to see your child it instead skips between photos. You can no longer download individual photos of your child, rather you have to download all photos. Please change this part back to the way it was.
Remarkable
It would be seriously wrong to not consider this application. It is one intriguing application. I would love to recommend it.
Can’t view images
The educators go to a lot of effort to take and share photos - time wasted when parents can’t actually see them.
Downloading individual photo
Overall a very good App. Thank you! Only one comment - The new version with Post feature does not allow downloading of an individual photo. When downloading, all the photos in that post have to be downloaded. It is not very convenient when a parent only wants to download the photo of their children. The older version with Observation feature allows individual photo downloading. If this can be updated, that would be great.
Getting worse and most recent update makes app completely unusable
App seems getting a lot of changes e.g. can’t open more photos, lost view all photos of my kids features.

Latest update I can no longer download just one picture from an update story. Can you please fix this

Great app (poor update)
I personally really like the xplor app for monitoring my child’s learning at daycare. It delivers notifications and provides updates in a very convenient way. However the most recent update has a couple of annoying features. One being when photos are posted. For some reason I no longer have the option to download individual photographs of my child, instead, I have to ‘download all media’ in the post and then delete all of the images that are not of my child, that I don’t want to keep. Small thing but rather annoying and this wasn’t a problem pre update.
Cannot sign in to the new preschool
Disappointed. Online support never works. Links in the emails from Xplor asking you to update your profile never works. Can’t sign in to the new centre. Can’t receive any welcome email from the new centre. Tried multiple times. Have to call the app support. The lady on the phone was very polite but because of this buggy app, she couldn’t solve the problem straight away. I have to wait until when, I don’t know. The posts in the app are written in black but with dark grey background. Can’t read them properly. Photos cannot be enlarged properly (this issue could be resolved very recently). Lack of features as well. No photos of lunch, morning and afternoon tea. No videos. No online chat between centre and parents.
Please fix the photos
The latest update means you can’t download individual photos (you can only download the whole album with everyone else’s kids) and you can zoom in on photos. Please fix!!!
Amazing
This is a magnificent application. I can screen my kid's advancement for the length of the day with the assistance of the application. A pushed system to screen your juvenile.

Not functional
This app and the broader IT system that support it are extremely frustrating to deal with. Changing centres in the app is painful. Support are less than useless. We hate the app but unfortunately have to use it as the centre uses it
Going in the wrong direction
This app was fantastic. But in the most recent update, they changed the photos to show in a modal context. You can’t scroll through the photos in a “preview” mode anymore, you have to open the modal instead. Once in the modal context, you can’t zoom in on the individual photos without it scrolling to the next photo automatically. Then when you go to download a photo it downloads the entire album with everyone else’s kids! I feel the devs forgot to do basic QA on this update. In all other ways it’s still a great app.
Very disappointed in this app
I hardly complain about apps but I can’t access my profile it refuses to let me in while changing my password. I have sent emails, used the support form all to no avail. Being in Western Australia the time difference makes it hard to call the office for support. I just want the app to work. I’ve been using my husbands access but even then there are so many glitches

The app keeps crushing when I try to access all photos on my iPhone. Is there a problem?
This app is abandoned
If you’re looking to get a service from this company I would avoid. The app is clearly abandoned and not maintained. We’re multiple parents who have sent feedback to get the app owner to fix the light box photo viewer to work. We can’t see our kids photos individually and have to download all of them. It’s been going on for over 6 months. We’re now pushing the daycare to sign up with another provider.
Regressed
I know there are pressures to improve an app that come from everywhere within a software company, but this new update has done the opposite. I used to be able to download individual photos and now I can’t. Surely there are privacy concerns here if the default option is to download everybody’s kids’ photos. Please take this (and other similar reviews) into account for your next sprint/product dev cycle
Unable to view Photos
I’m using the latest model of iphone and could never open the photos on the app. I always have to download all photos and delete the ones I don’t need. This has been going for months. Can you please fix this? All parents are not happy and might advise the childcare to change the provider if there are no improvements.
