Great business income platform
I’ve used Square for the past 7 years and have never had an issue. Fair packages for any level of business. Very user friendly and well organized. I’ve also had multiple loan offers with great success. The loans have helped me improve my shop where traditional banks wouldn’t bother.
All the fees
Make sure if you get this application Square Invoicing. Unless you can afford to lose 10% anytime you get a payment through the app All the fees are Garbage and I will find another app that will not do this to me for invoicing. It’s unbelievable. It’s really sad. And they’re making money off of your money even more than you ever thought.

Annoyingly slow
The browser version is becoming slower and slower and constantly freezing up. Every update seems to be a backwards step. No difference if you have a 50Mbps or 500Mbps connection. No difference what browser you use or if you have a high spec PC or Mac. Beyond frustrating when you’re trying to create your invoices and send them off.

Never works right unless I pay for the service, which they already take a percentage on the charge why should i then also pay a subscription just so it works properly. Corporate greed at its best

Really really really need to be able to use decimals in the unit and cost! Short of that, it’s great!

Can’t delete invoices
Once you make an invoice it’s impossible to delete so now I have a random $5900 invoice that I don’t want. So now my outstanding bill is off by $5900.

Rate changes significantly raised
I used to pay $20 per month for the services I needed. They automatically force me to swich over to a service that’s $100 per month with a bunch of additional services that I dont even need. If you only need to send invoices and book keeping there’s plenty of other services you can use! Shop around
Fast, easy. Accountability.
It’s an easy app, it’s fast, it allows for a diverse invoicing system which is great if you have multiple companies or want to pay employees or contractors based on commission. You can track it., and integrating with quickbooks is seamless. The only aspect I don’t like is the banking side. Once payment is received, some times it releases funds immediately. Other times it seems to wait for days which isn’t good when your customer is leaving with thousands of dollars worth of parts and labor.

Utilizing the services provided by Square has really opened our eyes onto how a successful business is run over the last five years. We’ve ran multiple LLCs through the system. Any major issues were resolved promptly. Definitely recommend.
App sent an automatic payment to my old bank even though i wasn’t enrolled in automatic deposits.
Lost money because of this app. and they have no support, if you like losing hundreds to thousands of dollars and raking with lawyers then this is the place to go.
$quare is an excellent service, and it has saved me hours of desk work.

But I wish they would offer the small customer a lower percentage fee per invoice/sale than they do.
It’s ok
Handy app but pretty expensive and they randomly lock your balance to confirm your business details regularly, can be frustrating to have to continue to show proof, especially when your trying to pay employees etc
Swipe card transactions
I find getting to the invoicing for the customer and card reading area difficult, I thought it would’ve been a simple icon that one could touch on to do a touch car transaction

I only wish it will had a schedule send option with hours of the day and not only day schedule I also wish there was a pre-programmed address that the app can remember for each client

A client paid a $1000 invoice and it cost approximately $100 in fees to simply receive the payment And transfer it to another account. Criminals

Great BUT..
Great system if you don’t sell online. I got a fraudulent transaction and lost $1500. If only we as merchants have guaranteed transactions.
Great up but severe sound glitch
Really solid invoicing app, however I’ve noticed a significant glitch when you open the app with earphones in, it plays a very loud and painful noise non stop until you close the app. Also, if square included the option to email a PDF invoice rather than a link to the invoice that would be a great addition - some organisations paying invoices to me have refused to open links and require PDF only.

Absolutely horrible support
Had to move to a different invoice program after square repeatedly lied and refused to take accountability and then tried to default the account after we refunded the customer, they then went past the maximum 7 days to process said refund, it was not until I showed literal evidence within the app that they admitted fault and still took no accountability. had we not had a good relationship with this customer, we could have had our business reputation tarnished. Do not use square.

I understand there is a message Option but you HAVE TO select either, credit debit card, after pay or gift card You can’t just unselect all these and just put your bank details in the message section 98% of my clients direct deposit Small businesses can’t afford to absorb the charges so an option to add the surcharge fee direct to the customer as I do on POS would be great Then it will be up to them and will save me nearly $3000 a year in fees
No extra address
Can’t see that you can do a biller address and a serviced address I’ve verified bank details 4 times and still can’t set up automatic transfers Not quick when someone pays by bank transfers

Excessive Emails
Anytime something is changed on an Estimate or Invoice I receive 4 emails. If a Customer was involved it would be annoying and confusing.

Refund and Recurring Invoicing is a mess
Plus the fees are high. I am seriously considering switching to a different provider.
No sound notification
Please add or fix the feature to when an invoice is paid or viewed or any type of notification from the invoice app that there’s a sound notification. Also when a payment link is created and it’s paid for we don’t get any type of an app notification that the payment link has been paid only email. Please add a feature that we get an app notification for payment links that are paid so that we instantly get notified of that payment.

Estimating Fail
You cannot give an estimate over $50,000.00. If you are a medium size business how do you send out an estimate to a client that’s over. I understand the limitations on invoices for over that amount, but not estimates.
Microphone access
Had really been enjoying using the app until now. The update it is requesting access to location and microphone to continue with payments. Can you explain why this is now necessary to proceed with payments.
Great app.
Great app, my only wish would be to have the ability to create an invoice or at least an estimate that has a total of £0.00 for when work is done free of charge. Currently limits are a minimum of £1.00.
